Yeah Cassidy would have to be non-canon, I meant as a just for fun mod, Sulik on the other hand, could be in the mojave escaping from NCR possibly, and I agree more whimsical special encounters and easter eggs. Other things that could be added is quests about topics from the originals, I mean wouldn't New Reno and New Vegas have some contact since they are both neon-lite corrupted hell holes? Or the fact that jet is still floating around? Or the expansion of the NCR or Brotherhood, I mean there are big gaps in the history of some things in fallout due to changing developers and studios so why not have modders fill in the gaps with there own ideas, or ideas from the Fallout Bible By Chris Avellone (One of the Original Creators) I recently saw someone brought back the Children Of The Cathedral (Humans In The Masters Plan) I've decide to put up a few links to the Vault wiki for those who are unfamiliar with classic Fallout so that maybe someone new will see that these characters should be brought back even if it makes no sense at all, just for fun, (like crazy sulik) Fallout 2 Compainions List -

This seems like a great idea, New Vegas Doesn't have nearly enough diversity in the creature/enemy department, and a lot of the "Doctor Who" universe enemies could fit in the game pretty well, as a matter of fact someone has already made a sonic screwdriver (but they need a better mesh/texture) and others are requesting T.A.R.D.I.S player homes, and while we're at it why not have the david tennant doctor cameo in game, maybe someone could make a custom random encounter where you get a special weapon/armor/screwdriver/etc. Thats not too difficult since there must be lost of resources for these ideas.

Surely this will get mad since most anyone who enjoys Fallout is probably a fan of Firefly so this will get picked up soon, who knows, someone might go and make the ship or the crew into NPCs ingame. Maybe even quests. -
I Couldn't help but wonder if modders actually look through there or if it feels like they don't want to use someone elses ideas? Just wondering is all, since I put some ideas there and just wanted to know if I'm just shouting in the dark or my ideas stand a chance of being made, plus a lot of peoples mod ideas seemed awesome but would take experinece modders to make.

In Fallout 2, the first cyberdogs were introduced, K-9 and Cyberdog. K-9 was an enclave experiment with a robotic body and electronically enchanced canine brain (with a bit of attitude and sarcasm) While Cyberdog was the NCR's attempt at a similar technology, but he was a far inferior model compared to K-9, weaker, less cybernetic, and only an average dogs intelligence. So, likely Rex is an NCR cyberdog. And is a complete disappointment to Fallout 2 players expecting a metallic canine companion. So I've located several concept artworks for a new improved verison of Rex, along with ideas for improving Rex's storyline and content. This might be a challenge depending on how "steampunk" you want things to look, not to mention there are sub-genres of that like the "clockpunks" who are steampunks specifically facinated by everything thats run and looks like mechanical gears, so maybe a clockwork robot companion or mad scientists workshop home, or masquerade clothing would all be interesting mods and steampunk too.

This could be a good idea to expand on, like maybe putting in a deathclaw brain, or human! And provide new effects, like a unique creature of certain types carry the brains, and each brain can give different perks and skills, like a *certain type* of nightstalker brain that gives him higher sneak skill or cloaking. Or an alien brain makes him highly resistant to energy weapons, or makes him more technological looking like maybe a retex with the things from the ghost armor mod for type 3 with its techy glowing lines.

This probably wouldn't be too difficult since in FO3 there are new cars in the Virtual reality, a modder could take that and grunge and rust it up to be a functional but messed up car to use of the broken roads of the mojave, trouble is making look like driving and combat along the road. -
Just looked at this topic and remembered another idea, using soundbytes of thier respected voice actors you could expand on existing characters, like making a mod where you can have Benny as a follower, using Mathew Perry's quotes from the whole nine yards and friends etc. you would have all the needs to make a decent sounding conversational character.

I didn't name him off since hes already been put in the game, plus I'm sure there are already mods to have him as a companion. But I meant the revivial of the others like Cassidy was my favorite companion in out of those games, he was fun and sarcastic. Plus he kicked ass. And then people forget the other awesome things from the old games, like modders could use the old perks or recycle the old perk pics for new ones, build on lore like Sulik came a village elder and is in the mojave to fight the legion since their slavers. Things like that. -
I was thinking of it and thought if someone knew how to lip-sync a character it could open up a whole slew of mods, you could have a fully voiced John Wayne following you, or meet a idk Cyrogenically Preserved, fresh new Elvis or Frank Sinatra. Heck why not have Robert Downy Jr. Follow you around as Sherlock holmes or Iron Man (that wouldn't even need synching). It could also make quest and custom npcs more immersive, you could even use it to give voices to characters in-game, like maybe change veronicas voice to a pretty voice. or have Angelina jolee send you on a quest to save children, (if you want make her evil and she'll enslave them or eat them =P). Oh, funny thought, Arnold as NCR president, or as a terminator follower. Just pitching ideas again.

I completely love those pictures, and an enclave behemoth is exactly what frank was really, in the original game he was like twice the size of every other character in the game, and I just put up a topic like this asking for more things from the original games besides weapons and armor. So this would be an awesome boss to challenge in-game!

I alway remember hearing that frank sinatra was a big thing in Vegas all the time, yet I think theres only one of his songs in the game, and dean martin too, and maybe sammy davis too. I'd like to hear some Vegas-ish music, besides the country music or vanilla radio music. One song I thought would be perfect in-game was "Mack the Knife" for my melee character, or a version of "I feel good" perfect for an ironic murderous rampage =P. Post-Edit Also I feel Louis Armstrongs "A kiss to build a dream on" should be added from fallout 2 if possible.

I have been really impressed with New Vegas, since it's reconnected to the classic fallouts more so than FO3 like Cass, I was thinking maybe someone could make a Cassidy Companion, or bring back Skynet, Sulik, or K-9 even. And people should look back on those games for other things you may have wanted to see in 3D, or things you missed in the last 2 games. I also really loved random encounters, by with I mean the "Cafe of Broken Dreams" or the godzilla footprint or the bridge of death. I'm sure someone could find ways to make random encounters that are funny and rewarding somehow. Or someone could make the hubologist and a compound or have frank horrigan be some extremely rare and bad challenge show up for players who've killed all the baddies and legendaries already. Just pitching out ideas.

Critique my load order?

hey I'm having a similar problem, I've actually never checked my load order, but I check it recently and almost every mod I've put in says that they don't exist in the order they're in now and I do use ArchivesInvalidated, I tried BOSS and the load guides but they only help if you have the same mods. Can someone help me understand what I got to do to get all of my mods to work?
