  1. Hey does anyone know if visual (screen) effects can be toggled for PerMa? Everytime an enemy casts frostbite on me, my screen flickers intensely and has a loud ticking noise. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. 3 things that darken your vanilla nights. 1. RealVision. Any form of "Realistic" Lighting mods or ENB's darken the nights (I hate them) 2. CoT 3. ELFX All 3 darken nights just standalone....all 3 together? Phew. Perhaps a console command to add the Night Vision effect permanently? (Like I did with Potion of Cure Disease, the effect is ALWAYS there). Tbh......some screenshots would help. I'm NO expert, but I have a wealth of knowledge, and I'll be glad to help.
  3. omg......I thought I was alone.......had that a few weeks back, ROTFL
  4. Hey fellow Dragonborns! I've recently started Skyrim on PC, and of course I went mod crazy. I have pretty good luck so far, but still.......the lag spikes, the CTD's, the glitches....... Here is my load order (Wrye Bash): http://imgur.com/a/Y1CYc I do not use ENB (know any good not too dark ones?) Here are my Specs: PC: HP Pavilion CPU: Phenom II (Overclocked to access all 4 cores) RAM: 12 GB GPU: EVGA GeForce 750Ti (Superclocked and Overclocked to 1388 Mhz) I've spent hours reading mod descriptions, mod authors, forums......nothing I can find to help. It looks heavy, but it runs (honest!) ~ 25-55 FPS. But lag spikes drop all the way to 0 FPS. Whiterun is the worst (~15 FPs) yet Winterhold with an Extreme Storms Blizzard ~34 FPS. Anything I should do? Any mods I should delete? Any alternate texture packs? I am open to any and ALL suggestions. Thanks so much for your help!!!! Chris Dovahkiin
  5. Touche. Well then here it is: The Eragon Series by Christopher Paolini. Boom. That's the idea. It's a great fantasy series with magic, dragons, elves, dwarves, an ancient language for controlling magic, the works. I'm surprised a mod hasn't already been made and I think it pairs well with Skyrim. I made a small version for personal use, but as I've stated above......I'm no pro and I can't do it alone.
  6. I really appreciate your opinion, but back in my Minecraft days, I partnered on a massive mod that added loads of content, only for my partner to create it on his own and take sole credit for it. Not doing that again. All I'[m asking is for someone to be interested. A few personal messages, if they don't like it, no loss. If they do, all the gain!
  7. Hey guys! So, I have an awesome idea for a (large) mod based on a fantasy book series. The Eragon Series by Christopher Paolini. I think it pairs well with Skyrim ( magic, dragons, elves dwarves! oh my, oh my) and I know for a fact no such mod exists. Problem is, I have a crappy PC, can't afford better one, and only basic experience with CK. So, I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would want to go in on it with me (for full credit of course!) I know I sound like a wuss, but I figured I would ask for help. I have the entitre mod planned, including story line, side quests, NPC's, new land, dungeons, weapons armor and spells........the works. I just don't know where to start.....can't get basic scripts to work, not the slightest clue on 3d modeling or retexturing. So, I'm basically a nerd with an idea.......an idea to go alone. Again, I'm looking for a partner. I work two jobs, so I don't really have the time to learn all I need to. If anyone is interested, reply to post, or PM me! Thanks, and I look forward to a response! 8. So I've narrowed it down and found SKSE is definitely the cause. Any ideas why?
  9. FPS Limiter is the simple program that locks the framerate at a set FPS, helping reduce stuttering and "excessive" mouse movement. And I do use EN Boost, but it makes no difference either. It actually creates a lot of lag.
  10. What happens? Infinite start menu? CTD? Or just don't notice the in game?
  11. I can't get rid of the flickering / tearing whenever I look sideways. I've used Skyrim's vsync, Nvidias vsync, and triple buffering. Nvidia 9400GT 1gb (all I can afford). I've got 109 mods, but nothing graphical. Also I use FPS Limiter. HiAlgoBoost absolutely destroyed my game. Any clues on how to fix or at least reduce this? All help is appreciated. Thanks, Chris Dovahkiin
  12. Well, I haven't had the issue since, so thanks! And it doesn't matter. Your a hardcore gamer! (I'm more of an OCD, addictive, omg I love anything TES) type of gamer.
  13. Ah! So disable the autosave, and everyone live happily for never after? Thanks, for the easy fix. And I was BORN in '94. Jesus, has it been that long????
  14. That's because, unfortunately Hair / Face Models often add textures to the game. And deleting doesn't always remove the textures. Find the mod related textures in your Data Folder and delete them.
  15. Okay......this is strange. So I tried to load up my save (that I just played 5 hours ago) and got infinite screen (even with safety load). Opened the save in Save Tool, and noticed that ALL scripts had been removed! Autosave before it was perfectly normal. (about 400 scripts). I have many mods, but what the f**k causes this ?! Any help is greatly appreciated! What A Normal Save Looks Like What This Save Looks Like Chris Dovahkiin
  16. Best fix (worked for missing textures for me): 1. Run LOOT. 2. Read LOOT's report. See how many "dirty edits" it comes up with (ITM Records and UDR) 3. Get TES5EDIT if you don't have it. (If you have it, great! If you don't I can provide link for download and for tutorial) 4. Clean "Update.esm" This is a MUST. 5. Clean all other mods flagged by LOOT. 6. When done cleaning, run LOOT again. Make sure there are no more flags. 7. Run Wrye Bash again. (Right-click "bashed_patch0.esm" and click "rebuild patch". 8. Run LOOT one more time. Make sure "bashed_patch0.esm" is at the BOTTOM of your load order. no excuses! 9. Check if problem is solved.
  17. Very strange..........sounds like the texture is plain corrupt.
  18. Seems like a rendering, or possibly FOV issue. I've had bad experience with FOV tweaks. Here's a question.....Did this just start happening randomly, or is it an ongoing issue?
  19. That sounds like a good idea. The program you use to made or download your mods should categorize mods so you can easily find a specific one.
  20. What retexturing mods do you have, and what order do they load in? I've used more than a few texture mods myself, and have had strange things happen (but not disappearing waterfalls)
  21. Hmmm.......ok new approach! Do you use any mods? Specifically any retexturing mods?
  22. Hmm....are they ticked in the "Data Files" section of your launcher?
  23. Hmm.....I don't see a bashed patch. Oftentimes, weapons/armor mods don't play well with each other. Do you use Wyre Bash to create a bashed patch?
  24. Hey, there! Caught my eye here. I've never personally had the issue you are having, but I've roamed the internet long enough to tell you that 90% of people with missing waterfalls (and water, and grass, and any other missing textures) fixed the problem by updating their graphics drivers. I hope this helps!
