  2. I'll probably get some if not all the DLC during the steam Christmas sale.
  3. I guess my main concern is just getting "essential mods or scripts" up and running first. Last time when I modded FO4 it started getting unstable. But yea, if you have any mods you like to reccomend im game. For example, are WeaponSmith extended, ArmourSmith extend considered essential? Where as a lot of mods require it? After alittle more looking at various mods, I'm seeing WeaponSmith extended v2 requiring DLC's, will it still work with just vanilla?
  4. Well, last time i had FO4 installed, i had tried CBBE and i think i had it working right. Cant go wrong with sexy, in skyrim im using a mixture of s#*! UNP, TBBP, HDT physics works but collision doesnt seem to be working. Then just various companion, armor, weapons.
  5. Just looking for any tips, and essential mods to get going first. And any tips of "what not to do". Any help appreciated, thanks. I do play Skyrim and have modded it, and for the most part its running stable. I do use NMM, LOOT.
  6. Well, after messing with these mods some, I've kinda got the look im going for. But the game world still lacks in proper light placement and proper light ambience, some lights (torches/firepits).. put off no light source at all. This needs to be fixed.
  7. Think of it like this, being in a pitch black room with a doorway. And on the otherside of the doorway is a lit room. How will the doorway look, if you're in the pitch black room? That's the kind of glow im looking for.
  8. Well, let me try to explain alittle more, as to the effect im after. Right now, in my game at the watchtower im talking about, when on the bridge and looking back to the open doorway that has a torch inside. It looks like a little LED light and I want it to look like a Flashlight to some extent. So when your wodnering around at night and come across a watchtower or castle. Its open doorways and hollow windows are glowing from a distance, by proper light placement and adjusted ambience to provide that kinda of glow effect. Is this possible?
  9. I just reinstalled recently and have a few mods installed so far. And I've tried searching for a mod that does more lights. What I mean by that is, add lights (torches, candles, chandaleirs, firepits) to structures. Such as Castles, Watch Towers, Stone Bridges. Im on a new character and just east of Whiterun at a watchtower, that has a high bridge going over the river. And im on the high bridge looking back at the watchtower that has a torch on the inside and a open door/walkway to the bridge. And to me, it does not have the proper "GLOW" effect. And with my currently installed mods, im just not getting the effect im seeking. I've even gona as far as editing the Skyrim Prefs ini alittle to try and achieve this effect. fSpecularLODStartFade=5000.0000 <-my defaults --- 2000.000 fShadowLODStartFade=300.0000 " --- 200.000 fLightLODStartFade=8000.0000 " --- 3500.000 In my opinion the effect of distant light inside buildings, especially watchtowers with their hollow windows and open doorways should have proper light placement and improved ambient glow. As to give a glow seen from a distance at night. So you would see the hollow windows of a watchtower or castle light up at night. And stone bridges would receive some love as well, especially the at this watchtower east of Whiterun. If you try those ini settings at night on the bridge of this watchtower. I want you to go all the way across and look back at the door/walkway that has a torch just inside. I want it to glow like hell.   10. Hmm, dont know. Try un-checking all your mods in the game launcher, and try to get past that error. Then turn your mods back on one at a time, with a good amount of gameplay in between.
  11. Wow, that should run the game pretty sweet. What did you do to your ini files? You using gridstoload=9 instead of 7? AMD Phenom2 955 BE x4 (stock speeds) 4gb DDR3 1333 GTX 480 Sata2 WD 1 TB hdd. Game runs and looks great, modified ini's and all, using gridstoload=7 though.
  12. Do you use a helmet? Other than wrinkles on the forehead, how does it look in comparison to vanilla? im at 50% on the D/L always use a helmet. :)
  13. Cool stuff, exactly what im looking for. I see its still in alpha, but I'll defenitely keep an eye on it. The walking and run / sprint look good and the weapon sheath looked really good (first video). The camera could use some adjustments, instead of eye socket placement, tip of nose placement or a good combonation of the 2. With such big man boobs and all.
  14. Any Before / After Pics up anywhere yet?
  15. For example, you can see your torso and legs. And it works in conjuction with what armor/clothes your wearing. Seems like the modelling and animation are already there (3rd person view). Just need to trick the game somehow, while in first person view, it use's asset's from third person view to draw your torso and legs with a camera trick. I've never modded a TES game. I look forward to trying though. Hope this mod is possible some day. Developers really need to look into having FBA in place from the get go, in FPS games.
