  1. Hello I am also searching for reasons why Asuka Armor is censored in Nexus. I personally have all the files, Asuka Alpha (NV version), Asuka Beta(Original with real texture), Asuka MK II (Version with a more animate-looking texture) and even the weapon set (some without textures). I converted one of the armor into Oblivion lately, and want to figure out reasons that the the file is closed in NVNexus. (If you care to look into my TES profile and see the image...) Because then I would know if I should actually release the Oblivion version of it-- I don't want to get into trouble. As far as I know, creator of Asuka Armor is Japanese, and Karimasu is not a user name, it just means "borrow, rent or use"... nobody has a username in anonymous image board... just saying.

However, since they are pretty much made by different individuals of the community, the qualities are quite...different.
  3. I have made a few other mods before with armor that completely cover the entire body including the face. For example, MechaFox http://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/30804-1-1270067434.jpg And people seem to not care to put on this costume/clothes/suit/armor or whatever on their own character, instead, they want it made into companion. So now, Hakumen is almost done. It is the same Hakumen from BlazBlue, if you are wondering. I have never been fond of companions and their systems, and now want to create one just so people would forgive me for not having one made beforehand. I would like to find any modder out there, that has experience with MPC, GGC, TSS, CM, or any other branches of companion system. And that know how to control or script a companion so that it would not change its clothing, or weapon. If you feel like working together, please PM me, we will talk about the details together.
  4. Is there a mod out there that change the camera to that of a projectile when fire? like shooting an arrow and the camera just follow that arrow until it hit something?

  6. Looking for a mod that will pose your character according to what he or she is wearing. I believe I have something similar install, as when I have my character go naked, she will look like she is cold.

There is a script to make breaking armor possible, ie. change the mesh of an armor when the health of it is under a certain number It is originally from JP I have not seen any Mod here with this feature. However, I believe somebody told me that it is okay to reproduce it. Just want to make sure that it is okay before putting it up and let Buddha ban my account thank in advance

I have been wondering for a while, and seems like I cannot find any "complete" list of script that oblivion or obse can use It is probably useless for me to have the whole list, since I have never written any script before. But having something in hand is better than being "know-nothing" So I ask here for a complete list (or just a list of useful scripts), so I can look at it and see what I can use. If it comes with a little description of what the lines do, that would be great. Thanks in advance oh never mind I found it

I am trying to make a gunlance So I need to learn how to script a weapon so it can fire simple magic(later on, projectiles) while equipped I have never written any script before and my knowledge of it is zero. I believe that these are the script that I need: Something that check if the player has that item equipped Something that tell the program what button initiate the magic (IE, pressing the G key) I looked at some other people's script, and dig out something that might be useful Here is what I come up with It is going to start like this scn [script name] [variables] begin OnEquip player if player.isKeyPressed2 G(I am not sure what I need here) [weapon name].cast [spell name] Is it just that simple? and by the way this is what I am trying to make... http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/9130/speara.jpg

I am trying to look for a working gunblade-type weapon It is like a sword with a special script to it that will enable the player to shoot out something when a certain button is pressed (preferably, daggers, shiriken, arrows or bullets, or anything that is not vanilla magic) So this weapon can be used in range or close combat, instead of changing into bow and arrows in range and toggle into sword in short range. It does not have to be helpful at all in leveling marksman, all I need is a sword that can both hit and fire projectiles If there is no such thing out there, I would love to know about the script that will work this way. Thanks in advance.

I am a perfectionist, and I really like cosplay (in oblivion) When I try to make some costume, I want to have the right hairs on them, however, looking through all the hair.nif is such pain in the butt Is there a software other then the nifskope that can view nif file really quickly? I don't care about all other options, or if it can edit the nif file at all... I posed this thread in Nifskope forum too If I fine out anything at all, I will put it here, too

  13. thanks for the reply I am not trying to do it on NPC, haha, I don't want to kill some "virtual kids" and get arrested by the FBI or something I just want to make my character looks cuter. So I just have to redo everything, from skeleton.nif to all kfs? That sounds...eh...fun For me, oblivion is more like a 3D factory in which i can entertain myself... hahah So even if it is going to screw up the NPCs, who cares!
  14. Here's the problem If you rename your dds file(texture), you have to have a normal map, which is indicated as _n.dds you need to have that in order for your texture to show up Without a normal map, your texture will never come up
  15. I have always been thinking about making some body mesh with a slightly different dimension (I don't mean boobs here). Like the body of the Teletubbies (I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was trying to make a costume for the guards), which has a generally fat body and short limbs. I also wants to make female fingers longer, legs longer, arms shorter... When I made my last armor (never release here), I accidentally moved the clavicles bones lower in Blender and notice that the bones and their associated mesh were pushed back to where it was supposed to be, which created a huge hump on the shoulder. So I know moving bones to create a body with a different ratio is not possible. Now the question is, if I have to make body that resemble little girls, shorter limbs and longer torso, how far do I have to go? Just weight-paint it accordingly? or I have to redo the skeleton.nif, all the kf. file and all that?

I figures that I can't do anything about having a weapon in a hand Because that weapon has no bone before picking up (I mean raw weapon, in blender) That blade is going to stick at the original point So all I can do is everywhere on the armor but no weapon But these are all theories I have not try any of it out

In the near future, I want to redo the Taokaka Armor by NPR, and improve my Morrigan costume by adding some kind of special custom animation to it ie, taokaka armor will have a script to check for empty hands and add a blade weapon that is placed like claws in both hands, but will use a hand to hand animation, morrigan will have the wing move while not using the set of bones in TFF bones (I still have to learn how to make animation though) Here is what I have been thinking If I have two sets of animation, is it possible, or is it doable at all using OBSE to switch between different animations while in different armors? (I know it is going to have some conflicts if I don't make these special armors full body sets) If not, I guess I will have to do it this way: put extra bones in skeleton.nif and in all the kf file for example, "Armor A" uses special set of animation by using bones with a prefix "a" (these bones will have to be include in all kf files) while "Armor B" uses special set of bones with prefix "b" to perform some other animation every other normal armor will use the regular bones any other ideas? by the way if I want to make animated hair using ren's hair Am I doing it correctly? 1. Import and joint upperbody+head 2. Import hair (I used Ren_Hair06F.nif) 3. delete all the bones 4. copy bone weight from upperbody+head to hair is there any thing else I have to do? Because I am using a double melon upperbody, I need to move the hair a little bit so it won't stab the body and when I finally export my hair, it appear to be not as thick in game any clues here?
  18. I am thinking that my video card is dying, well, it dies every year and it is about time. I have checked and looks like no newer version of video driver I don't know if that's the case...but I have installed some version(I think it is 9) of direct X a while ago, maybe that is what causing it and for the solution of this drape problem(it is more like a fur problem)... I will try to cut the whole thing into pieces and stick one on one arm and one I will stick it on the back, because what I notice is that the deformation is usually at the back side, where both (movable )sides of the fur meet the stable part of it I still don't know how it will look but I will upload the photo as soon as I finish the weight paint copying process
  19. What I just find out is that the bone really isn't from TFF And the annoying fact is, I have no idea where the hell it is from...
  20. thanks for the reply here I still haven't made up my mind yet I change my skeleton to the TFF one (well, with moving breast and wings and all that) What I did yesterday was that I delete the part of the fur that belong to the back side of the body (and I stole the fur from kirin by NPR) so I only have to work with front side and I was trying to put it with the arms But then the TFF skeleton is kind of strange in a way that the Clavicles are in the mid section (about waist level)and the regular skeleton has them a little below the neck. So when I have that in game I have a huge lump on my neck. And I will have to deal with this today... happy me Oh and here is another question my Blender is kind of strange for these two days, when I press b 2 times in edit mode, the circle put marks on my screen just like in the above image and when I use weight paint, when I put my cursor on that little "n" menu, the whole screen turns black except the mesh which turns red Completely weird and very annoying
  21. http://media.strategywiki.org/images/2/25/CVS_Morrigan.jpg This is what I am trying to make, basically straps that are not going on the shoulders but loose like that in the right side of the above image I have been thinking about weight painting since the first day I started making this because those fur is not on shoulder, I can't just copy weight paint from the main body and go from there. These are the ideas I have in mind: Idea no.1- weight paint it like shoulder pad (left side on the above image) But if I have the arm in a regular position, (i.e. putting in down) part of the fur is going to go through the body Idea no.2- weight paint it like part of the upperbody trunk(right side on the above image) But is that's the way I am doing, it means that if I have the arms in the position like that picture, the arms are going to be out of the fur Idea no.3- just do copy weight paint this is definitely going to mess up quite a bit when I put the arms down. Idea no.4- use a different structure Here is another picture I find of her http://ker.morigan.free.fr/Cours/Divers/Morrigan/images/Darkstalkers/Darkstalkers_morrigan.gif some fur goes around the front of the clothes and some goes around both arms So I can ignore that "strap" thing any more ideas for me? or Had anyone made something like this before that I can look into?

I played with my character for 69 game days, don't know the exact hours, (I haven't look in to it yet) Version of game is latest, I am pretty sure about that because I updated my TES4 tens of times And I find out that if I uncheck all the plugins and their respective unofficial patches, my character resurrects just like a slap Well, I guess I will have to skip all the plugins then... But hey, my interest of this game is modding right now (this guy has been modding for the last 30 days)
  23. I just happened to install the Official plugins, (Knights of nine, fighter's stronghold, thieves' den, etc.) And when I get in game, my character account looks like it got stolen. She became a he, race from XEO to Imperials, every single item on my character is lost and what I got are the starting things (prisoner's gears) Even the armor from mod that I had put on my character disappeared What is going on? is it supposed to happen when I have new official stuff install? How can I fix it? or do I have to reinstall Oblivion? Or is it because of a mod conflict? (I really doubt it)

I cut off the arms of my body mesh yesterday and realize that I need the arms for this armor Because the body and the armor over body is specially made so if I need to import another one, I will have to remake it I am using blender and I want to merge the arm mesh and the upperbody mesh together so that there will only be one entry in nifskope like this: NiTriStrips upperbody instead of this: NiTriStrips arm NiTriStrips body or this Ninode triupperbody -NiTriStrips arm -NiTriStrips body What is the button I should use?
