  1. Is there anyway at all through modding to control your character independently of the freecam? Say I have the freecam up and I want to be able to walk my character into frame and turn her or him towards the camera. Would this be possible, or is there no way to override or skirt around the freecam's takeover of mouse+wasd while it's active?
  2. Well, I hadn't planned on having an actual throw. I was content to just have the companion call out and add the item to the player's inventory, possibly with a check to make sure the companion and player are within a reasonable distance of one another, like how a lot of npcs "give" items to the Pc. I think I'll look into requesting such a script from someone if possible, thanks.
  3. I have a perk in mind for a companion I'm creating that has a chance to give the player helpful items like stims and grenades while in combat. I want the chance of receiving the item and the exact item you receive to be influenced by your own character's Charisma and Luck. Ideally it would also proc a vocal response from the companion ("Hey, use this!"). I'm not much good at scripting, and it's certainly more complicated than something like Gannon's perk, so is such a perk even possible, and if it is, how would I go about creating it?
  4. I have an odd performance issue that manifests only when my view is either straight down at the ground or a few degrees from straight down. When I'm looking straight, my fps is generally 45 to 60 depending on the area, but can immediately drop to around 20 when I look down. This only starts happening I am both: A: In the exterior wasteland. B: Am near, or was near, multiple building statics. Only buildings and constructions like freeways, not rocks and such. Some particular spots that it happen are around the town of Novac and Durable Dunn's sacked caravan. I'm playing at max settings with a gtx 680. Am I alone in this and is this an actual problem, or is this commonly recognized as just being a problem with the game itself?
  5. It's very much like having an itchy nose and being unable to scratch it to me.
  6. Believe me when I say I've tried *everything.* Verifying my game files was the first thing I did, and I've tried every driver that's been out for my card and other components since december. Card isn't overclocked. I tried all of my mods one by one, nothing checked out. Besides, I get this in other games too. System Specs: Win7 64bit 8gb ram from corsair. Amd Quadcore @ 3.4. I've tried multiple gpus, these include: Gtx 570, Gtx 680, and a 9400 gt. 465gb harddrive 650watt power supply, also from Corsair. Directx is the latest version, but a thing here I noticed, In Saints Row 3, this problem will be much more worse in DX11 mode, than dx9. I think it has something to do with the lighting. It's not a driver issue, I looked for help on an nvidia forum, and they tried to reproduce the same problem and were unable to.
  7. Basically the title. For the past few months I have been trying to fix an issue related to white dots appearing on the edges of terrain and objects with any amount of AA enabled. If that sounds crazy to you, that's because it is. I got more than a little bit involved about trying to fix this. Seeing these solid white dots/lines (especially at night) flicker on terrain and on objects such as the interior side of Whiterun's gate drives the obsessive-compulsive side of me absolutely insane. Even more so when I began noticing it in other games, not just bethesda ones. So after re-installing windows twice and basically building a new PC (The only things that I haven't replaced at this point is the motherboard and harddrive), I got to thinking, maybe I'm just crazy, and never noticed these little light-brights flickering all over the place. Can anyone else confirm this on their systems?
  8. Bump please? Does no one have any idea why this is happening? I've recently acquired a new graphics card and this is still happening.
  9. I've been having a strange problem in Skyrim that has started recently. My Gpu is an Nvidia gtx 570, I've been running things on Ultra, 45-60 fps throughout. As I'm walking around, I'll look at certain objects and see these white pixels flashing along the edges of terrain and objects, primarily doors. At first I thought something in my computer was getting hot, but I ran a temperature monitor side-by-side and they were nothing noteworthy. This isn't a quirk with the lighting as the pixels are always* solid white, I can be walking down a path at night with no lightsource and these bright white pixels will flash along the edges of bumps in the road. *There is one instance where the pixels are red. It happens on the front end of smelters right around the level of the lava/fire The place where this effect is most noticeable is the interior side of Whiterun's gate. (The exterior side doesn't have any problems, causing me even more confusion about this issue.) I can look at the door from various angles and see many of these pixels, often forming large lines, appear and disappear all along the creases and edges of the gate. The problem is apparently related to Anti-Aliasing, as turning it off causes the problem to cease. Though I can still see a single white pixel in the middle of WR gate's door handles. (Or on any other door that uses those types of handles for that matter.) I've tried re-installing the game/gpu drivers. I've tried using older drivers, I've tried using a default ini, I've tried fooling around with all of the nvidia cp settings, and I've even tried cleaning out my hdmi cables and inputs with a little compressed air. Anyone know of a way to fix this (very distracting) problem?
