What, how? You'd have to recompile it, that doesn't work well in a file that uses machine code. d3d9.dll is a native DLL, not only you cannot successfully edit its contents with an IDE, you cannot even do it with a dedicated hex editor. I already tried both methods, it just results in an instant crash for the game engine, no matter how small or big the change inside the .dll file is. I even tried disassembling the file into a text file and edit it, but being a native DLL means you'll get next to nothing of text information out of it. So, please... tell us how you managed to get that right.
