  1. What is your part in this? are you the one creating the quest,scripting,meshes,texture? Because if you are just an idea giver, it will be hard to get people to work with you.
  2. If you duplicated the cell and moved anything, it could also be a roombound doing the issue. In the view tab, click show/ hide window and check the portal and rooms option, if there is any *rooms*, they will show as big blue cubes enveloping parts of the cells, you might want to remove them to get rid of the problem. I don't think it is your problem if you duplicated a cell and didn't touch anything but figured I would share this just in case.

  8. Hey all I have been working on a player owned castle for over a month now and I did enough progress on it that I am ready to present it and ask for opinions about a few things. The castle is located all the way up north on the top of a mountain in the middle of the sea, the castle is rather small compare to most of the castle mods on the nexus. Instead of focusing on make it huge, I decided to focus on giving the player a real feeling of ownership by allowing you to hire npcs for it and add events for it. What I have done so far: -30+ guards that patrol your castle night and day ( half of them patrol at day and the other half a night) -You can also use 7 of those guards as followers. -added a cook that offer you different meals almost every day (they are also different depending if you ask for a meal in the morning or later in the day. -Cleaning ladies that will clean the 2 first floors for you and the third floor if you summon them to your chambers. -2 bards who will sing and take requests (one inside and one outside). -A blacksmith that sells you equipments. -A stable boy who will sells you horses and dogs. -Librarian who sells you books and spell tomes -Teleports from and to the 5 mains cities of Skyrim. -Ability to summon some of your servants to your bedchambers. -Expert Trainers for 1handed,2handed and archery. -Ability to place a shrine of your choice in the chapel. -Bathing,Holy water and Clean hands buffs. -Squire who can be your follower. -3 merchants who sells their wares outside. -Npcs awareness of you being their lord/lady (they will be custom voiced with dialog that will show you that they know who you are. What I have left to do: -Make the npcs hirable for a fee and the ability to rehire a new one if they die ( guards). -Make you have to pay to unlock certains rooms. -Quest and dungeons leading to the castle. Events such as:bandit attacks,parties to have with your skyrim friends, taking prisoners(with trials), visitor at the court. ***The events will probably be done as an update, feel free to share ideas of other events if this mod interest you.   9. I do not play skyrim too much since I am too busy modding it but this would be my top 4-5 (didnt use them enough yet to have a particular order either ) so they would be: Vilja Cerwiden Atvir Hoth
  10. Probably Alpha, I am gonna focus on finishing it first though, so once it is released, message me and I can look into it, I don't want to worry about versions before I am done with the current .
  11. With your mod open, click on file , then create archive, then you need to drag and drop your nif and dds files on the window that just opened,click pack file, save it with the name of your mod and you are done. Your nif and dds will now be packed in the bsa that you created.
  12. It depends why you are learning. Plenty of people are using mods, depending of what kind of mods you want to do, learning what you need can be done really quick. If you are modding mainly for yourself, then it doesn't matter, even if you are modding for other people, people will keep using mods for a few years. Hell I still play morrowind and oblivion and those games are 8 years+.
  13. Yeah I placed it really far so the chance of being in the way of something else added by a mod is smaller. The positioning and size wasn't my focus here anyway, so yeah.

Its located way north of Skyrim, its actually way up on the top of a mountain, there is a quest associated to it and I have teleports that will be available for easier access (teleport will be accessed from the 5 main holds castle. I will probably do a forum thread later this week with more details about the features.
  15. I do something similar as well, as I rise in rank in the civil war, I give my guy different cloaks and armor (would work better if that quest wasn't bugged :S) Well just keep an eye on it and if you enjoy the castle, just send me a pm about it so I can do the armor change for ya.

Right now they have a specific armor, main reason is because I want to have them wear a tabard with the castle's sigil (so It need to fit well with a specific armor), however, if you were to want them to wear an imperial armor instead, only thing I would need to do is switch their armor in the mod (which takes like 5 mins ).
  17. Yeah it doesn't look as huge as some castles that I saw out there, I was more focusing on the feeling of ownership with guards and other npcs that will do things for you. The video in my signature show you all the rooms, I am not artistic enough to make huge castle like some others that I saw :P
  18. So what you want is a castle where you can use your follower to patrol it?Making it so followers can do the part might be a little hard or time consuming to do with all the options existing. I am doing a castle where you have guard patrolling all around + npcs like cook,steward,stableboy,vendor,cleaning ladies etc. I know it might not be what you want but if it can interest you, I have a few screenshots on the nexus of it plus the small video in my sig (might release a beta in a month). But yeah, I see why you would love that, main reason why I am doing one, it is rather hard to make it perfect for someone else though.

  20. Show the full code and give a bit more explanation please. Its hard to know what you are trying to do with only the error messages.

  22. yourmarker.disable() or yourmarker.getreference().disable() might work in your script. to enable, just change disable to enable.
