Valve/Bethesda announce paid modding for Skyrim, more games to follow
VoodooMcGee replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #24565794. Thank you for being another modder who believes in love of the craft and not glory of the pocket book. What you said is for me the major point, most if not all Beth games are riddled with game breaking bugs out of the box since day one. The vast majority of mods start out as fixing these bugs and similair nusance issues. Now Beth want you to pay a modder to fix these and now they get a cut instead of actually fixing the product themsleves, they will just depend on modders to fix for them, making lazy Beth even more lazy and the out of the box experience even crappier. Seems like this would just in incentivize Beth to put out broken game to start with, something they have mastered over the years. -

Good thing Dimon99 never charged for his body mods, half the mods on this site would not even exist if it was not for his contributions. If his mod was pay would eveyone who made clothing or armor mods have to pay him for using his work? The only people going to make money here is lawyers arguing whos intelectual property it is. Just my two cents -
I have the same problem so its not you, I am in California, premium server (Denver 2) 400K download speed. Non-premium server (San Jose) 2.7MB speed. Isn't this supposed to be the other way around? Another user "AstroGazer" said the same thing here http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/news/980/&pUp=1

NMM bug fix release and download hacking problems fixed

In response to post #7635205. #7636326, #7636511, #7637460, #7637758, #7638512 are all replies on the same post. Banning EXE files would have no effect in this situation as I doubt the hackers created an account and uploaded the file thru the nexus interface. They hacked the system which by definition means they circumvented the security and other protocols. The best advice was already given by Dark0ne, "if your downloading a 30MB mod and you get 100k EXE file then something is obviously wrong and should be reported".If you go ahead and execute the file even though it does not come close to matching what your expecting then sorry you should not be using a computer of any kind, lol. -

For those wanting to know which detects it you can check the results at www.virustotal.com, detected by 6 of 45 engines. Direct results report: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/5ecc0a04d4c2cd1b29f1a28155437bc32ce7039ce1c575575ac0e9ff9ba36668/analysis/ Watch the line wrap there as you may have to copy and paste the link. I have submitted the file to Symantec so hopefully they will add to definitions. -

In response to post #7635843. #7636243 is also a reply to the same post. Just tried manual download from this link as reported previously below: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20915 and got nexusloader.exe Second try got correct file Server: San Jose Time Zone: PDT (California) Firefox 19.02, cache is cleared every time I close my browser. If you have forward caching of these servers then the file may still be sitting in the cache of the server or some proxy server in the infrastructure. Just some thoughts. Also not detected as virus by Symantec Corporate Edition 12.1.2015.2015 -

What perk packs are compatible with FWE?
VoodooMcGee replied to dmxdex2020's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
UPP - Original Perks is not compatible according to the FWE compatibility list found here, the other modules seem fine: https://sites.google.com/site/fo3wanderersedition/compatibility-list -
No problem, not really the type to police people but was trying to do the right thing as I know you guys don't want illegal content on the site, just was not sure I was doing it correctly, must be more patient. Thank you for taking the time to respond and for the nexus sites, Voodoo

I reported a file using the "report file button" a couple of times now over the last few weeks, neither had error so I assume they were submitted successfully, as well as I sent a PM to an admin and received no response and the file is still on the nexus. I guess my question is how long does it take for action to be taken or is the report system not working? Is there any feedback after file reporting? Thanks
