  1. The Values for the displacement need to be turned down, or you have some really bright greys and whites causing it to pop too much
  2. can you show it with shaded/textures on along with wireframe on shaded.
  3. Looking good so far, only area i would change is the breast plate take a look at the original from weta, some of the other mods out there. Stayed up and did reading last night, since the game uses normal maps, once you get this model down the way you want it, you might want to make a really high res model of your armor, and make a normal map of it onto the lower res poly/vert count game model your doing,
  4. Oh i remember there was a mod for fo3 that put a geck type handheld/palm type device in your characters hand instead of on your wrist. You could try that if you can find that mod.
  5. I own all the Fallout Games for fallout nv and fo 3 own a digital download from steam/direct2 drive for each and a hard copy of collectors editions=) I know a bit overboard.... Is there anyone willing to make a mod or can do the files wherei have to move the right fo nv files into my fo3 directory to get a few items from FONV into FO3? I really want the NCR Ranger Combat Armor, Ranger Helmet, Anti Material Rfile, and ammo"just inc rounds or regulars" in FO3... Just something I personally would like=/ I know if someone does this its a lot of work. Just something I would personally like.
  6. Yeah your best bet to find it would be to find a modder who is active and who actually makes a lot of good original armor mods. they would be able to asnwer your question in seconds.

Cool ty, I can see why its the most expensive out of the three I mentioned, blender being free of course, max used so long in the game industry until the past few years Maya at least is getting used more and more. Ill head over there and check it out, got let go at EA so need something to keep me busy, would not mind doing a big common wealth map mod, thats one of the main reasons I asked=)
  8. Just wondering if more than just 3DS Max and Blender are supported for modding/importing tools. I am used to modeling with maya can use others but I have my prefered tools Just wondering if they came out with anything for Maya yet for modeling/exporting and importing into FO 3/FO NV yet.
  9. I am guessing its missing a script/command/value that cuts off the sleeve a tthe right spot for the armor. No I am not a modder, but work in the game industry and have a pretty good idea of how this works, I just work on environments....
  10. I know there are mods out there already that does the NCR Ranger Combat Armor and helm that does not mark you as a member of ncr. Just somethings I would like No Faction Bonus's: Move Faster in it, rad resist, crit chance, some type of bonus for say sniper rifles .308&.50 ammo based weapons,pistol bonus's, melee weapons, Oh and a rebreather in the helm for underwater.
  11. I dont know about skree's mods he is trying to do too much at once and in that kind of workflow you never get anything done to a complete asset in a timly manner. He needs to take one item at a time and finish it, have played around with his mods, and it is apparent he is trying to do too much at once.... I am sure he would get alot more done if he took one asset and worked on it to completion, release it to the people here let them play with it, once hes sure its set to go move onto the next asset, once he is finished with everything he wants to finish release a mod pack with everything in it. I would like to see the ODST armour personally would be fine to play in, as for the comment of having to be in the military hey where is my copy of that mod, I served six years....
  12. It is not in the game it is way north I am thinking its at MIT in mass... I would had liked for it to be in the game but its not going to happen since they announced mothership zeta will be the last of the dlcs.... The Only way it will be in fallout 3 is if someone that really knows what they are doing takes the time to get all info that the game studio has on it, sits down does story boards, thumbnails, concept art that holds the look and feel of the fallout 3 world and goes to work on it, and for one person its a bit much, they also have to fully understand the geck, all production software for making the assets. But yeah its not in fallout 3 and I dont think it will be. Messing around with alot of the mods not too many of them are that great there are about a handful that are really good and maintain the look, feel of the fallout 3 world.
