  1. In response to post #41270645. #41271765 is also a reply to the same post. It's kind of a trend with everything these days, Look at every game and website past 2010, everyone goes for this straight oversimplified bland max 3 colour square design. It has it's advantages, but it has absolutely no style. A website or a game is no longer recognisable by it's UI, and UI is something you sometimes see more than the game itself.
  2. Irony, I think I found a partial solution. In the dialogue quest data tab we have a tick box "Add Idle topic to Hello" This did made the companion to speak a random dialogue, but it's not nearly as often as I'd expect... Hmmm wonder if there is a way to increase a frequency.
  3. I've finished working on voice acting and lip sync-ing for a major update to my mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15420/? Now I just need to add idle chatter, what the companion will say randomly when you get close to it or something. For whatever reason she stays mute all the time, not even a text subtitle pop-up even though I placed voice files correctly. What I did: - Made a parent group of dialogue lines in the Misc tab of the dialogue quest. - Made dialogue lines. - In the group I Ticked random and force all children random - I added condition GetInFaction HasBeenCompanionFaction == 1 - I did nothing on the individual dialogues. Am I missing something in there?
  4. Here's a suggestion, and possibly a request. I've made a revamp of the Synth uniform for my mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15420/?tab=3&selected_game=1151&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D15420%26user%3D1%26gid%3D1151&pUp=1 But, a big part of that outfit is holographic addons, those addons have transparent texturing enabling an illusion of holographic screening on the body. Which also means one can put multiple hidden versions of the uniform in the same outfit piece. The suggestion I'm pressing here is that if one would be able to make a mechanism for clothing with those addons switching material when in combat stance and exiting combat stance. The applications are many, light and glow effects marking the combat stance, dresses or handcuffs getting folded up when in need to fight, armor popping and transforming from basic to complex. Hooded clothes getting hooded in combat while staying unhooded in safety, the list goes on and on. You could literally walk around in an elegant dress that in combat transforms into tesla armor and if you have two or even more outfits you love you don't have to choose between them, they could appear on your player within certain circumstances automatically.
  5. I had this issue once, I hope you didn't get what I did. Cause for me that was a corruption of the model. Any tool may see them, but in-game something crashes when loading and the whole model is basically for the trashing. The only solution I have for such an occasion is to first make everything in the CK and only then work on the model. I make part of a model, play-test it, and if it ain't disappearing I make a backup and move forward. Than again I have no idea about NIFscope, I use Bodyslide to make weapon models so your models may not suffer the same problem as mine.
  6. Is there a way to make holstering and unholstering weapons to cause a switch in an items texture? I know Assultron helmet animates upon that, but without Automatron DLC I can't dissect what scripting causes it (if there is any). What scripting and applied to what would cause such an effect?

I'm looking for female voice actors or practically any girl out there with voice recording equipment that could record some 20-30 voice files. They vary from just 1 word to 2/3 sentences per voice file. Kawaii/ Loli talent would be appreciated but it's not required.
  8. I know you can ask a settler to dismount a Power Armor. But how to crate such a dialogue with a custom Companion dialogue. Which script line determines that.
  9. I don't know to what degree this will help, but when I was making my vampire mod I did used a script like to replace eyes upon transformation. Game.GetPlayer().ChangeHeadPart(HeadPartName) This line swaps a given headpart to a different one. Hope this helps.
  10. I'm trying to make a standalone follower, in CK I want to do a custom face, but the preset never loads in game. It's always a standard preset 1 female face. Additionally I made custom eyes, even used a vanilla eye mesh for the job but the eyes clip out of the eye sockets, it also messes with the glowtexture.   13. I'm working on a first mod with CK and so far it's going well. But I'm no master scripter so I eventually had to run into this snag, that's why I'm asking for help. I'm working on a vampirism mod and inevitably I have to make it so that the player can do something like sandman perk effect. I need someone to help out in making of the scripting for a perk and how to make such a perk, or scripting for a button that can be visible in sneak mode on a sleeping NPC. The feeding effects I already got scripted for bloodpacks, but I need the module that allows to activate that with a button like defult "R" for a sandman kill, preferably with a fatal effect as well. Of course that's the ideal, if anyone has other ideas I'm open to suggestions.

  16. A two-parter question relating to Bethesada and Copyrights for modding. If I use resources from other Bethesda games will this be copyright infringement? And if not, will this mean I could use resources from "Dishonored", the game was published by Bethesda, but made by Arcane studios, though I didn't get any detailed info on which one of the two holds the copyrights.

  18. Hi, I'm preparing to make my mod when Geck comes out and while I wait I'm collecting info to use in the mod. I wish a small part of the mod to include giving the player the ability to take no fall damage as if inside a Power Armour with the same epic drop down animation applied to the player. So if anyone stumbled upon any information on the location of those animations and how to apply them to a player would be useful.
  19. There's a simple neat program on nexus called Bethesda Archive Extractor http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78/? This tool will allow you to extract any texture and any model from the game in order to change it and make it a part of a mod.
  20. That's because you're looking at the wrong fallout4.ini file, it's a common mistake many people just don't explain in mod instruction manuals. You shouldn't modity the ini file in the game data file but in your documents. On my PC the path is this: Computer/My Documents/ My Games/ Fallout 4 and that's where you'll find the correct ini file to modify as stated above.
  21. Got a question on what BGSM format is? I'm trying to replace a particular type of enemy with models and textures of a different enemy, I stumbled upon bgsm format files regarding enemies. I wonder if those are responsible for data liek HP, Armor, abilities, models & textures? Also if that is possible is there a tool to modify those files?

I plan, as my first mod for Fallout 4 to be a vampirism mod, I have certain experience with Oblivion and Skyrim modding of that nature, but nothing as drastic as adding a new feature to a game that doesn't and won't fave it. So I decided to refer to modders out there to give me some hints as to accomplish it. Now I do understand it's kinda pointless to ask advice on making a mod for a game that isn't out yet XD but Fallout 4 by my book should work on the same mechanisms as Skyrim or Fallout 3; potions, effects values and scripts. - I know how to make a scripted spell mechanism for sun damage, should work the same way as an addiction or an effect. - I know how to place conditions on food and potion effects so they couldn't work on a person with vampire value added, tedious, but effective. - Adding transfusion packs to a slight bit more containers shouldn't make problems. - What I don't know is how in Skyrim can one make a scripted dialogue mechanism for sneaking, like adding an additional button to the pickpocket menu dependant of a value that player has. - I don't know how the stages of vampirism work in Skyrim in scripting. - I don't know how to set a global limit on affection or persuasion skills so that a player is automatically disdained by NPC's
  23. Just a quick question. If I were to make a trailer for my mod for skyrim is it allowable to use a famous track in the background (like radioactive) or do I have to ask permission first? I know it's absolutely forbidden to use tracks without permission in the mod itself, but I'm not sure about mod Marketing & PR. I'd rather ask first than suffer later.
