  1. Is there a way to reset my data folder without uninstalling-reinstalling. Like a download of the vanilla GOTY unmodded data folder? I screwed myslef trying to get FCOM to work, it was unpleasant.
  2. My oblivion Directory looks like this C:\Oblivion\Data... etc Will this cause future problems ether with adding mods or the CS? I like this setup more for the sake of finding it quicker and not have my desktop covered in Folder Shortcuts. I already know if its not installed to the default directory I always need to watch my file paths when installing or adding things. :thanks:

When on the boat it truly feels like the boat is moving across the water. But at like 90mph because the fall speed of water is alot faster than the flow Im looking for. Im going to take a wild guess and say I wont be able to slow this waterfall animation down any through the CS. The Waterfall NIF im using is WorldObjects\Activator\Landscape\LandscapeWaterHoriz01.nif . If anyone could give me another lead on how to slow this water flow speed down... you can have kudos :rolleyes: Thanks for the help so far everyone!
  7. ooo excellent suggestions! I should also upgrade my cooling. I only got a single stock fan and it runs a little on the warm side. Thanks. Btw I have VGA monitors. whats the loss of using a VGA to DVI adapter? I already use one for my second monitor and there just doesn't seem to be any loss of quality? Just want to be informed.
  8. MMky I have a Foxconn Motherboard Here and a 120$ budget give or take. What are you guys using and what would you suggest. obviously I want the most bang for my buck and it is for a budget gaming pc running Windows XP Pro - soon to upgrade to win 7 when its been out for a month or two. :whistling:

  10. Looking for a script that When you click on a container a prompt comes up informing you that the container is sealed shut. I browsed online and at the tes wiki but it takes more than browsing to get these things. "can i haz free stuff"
  11. Is there a way to make water appear to move in one direction? Part of the mod Im making takes place on a boat. The boat is in its own world space with no landmass. When I get on the top deck and look at the water its still. The boat is suppose to be in transit and its bad enough the sails are rolled up. Is there a way to make it look like its moving or a new water option to download? Ps. about those sails, anyone seen a sail mesh that looks like its being pushed by air. sails down Thanks everyone
  12. Not sure why that would cause OBMM to crash. I think you dont have to push the "Activate" button to enable anything except .omod, just clicking the check box next to the mod should do. May or may not have something to do with it. Really hope you get your game working :wacko: I know the feeling. Also try using the Oblivion Launcher screen and click the "data" button. You can manage mods from that to I think but Ive never used it. Good Luck!
  13. Cobl is really cool but at the race screen some of the races are missing textures and models such as the new khajiit race the deadra race and some other one. I took a look at the Cobl file page HERE and at the very bottom it says that I need to "get" the file Cob Cosmetics Res 01. I never went and got it separately and nothing named like that is in my load order. I searched for a file named that and found nothing?   16. Is it ok to rename mod files .esp's, .omod, .esm ? Sometimes its hard to remember exactly what a mod does without going and extracting the original .zip to get a readme. If not is there a program to tag mod files with custom descriptions besides actually opening it in TESConstructionSet and making one.

  20. Im in the learning process for building mods. Of course I have a dream mod, (which is why I started learning) I want to build and thats far off for now but I have been putting together little pieces of it that are spread out in different .esp's. One day Ill have to put them together but I dont know if this is possible. For example I built a house in one file, a npc in another, and a quest location for the house in yet another and I am still making more parts as I learn. Will I be able to move these parts together one day or am I going to have to use what I learned in the pieces to make a whole final version under one single file. I hope I made sense. If it is possible whats the process?
