Leaving for awhile.
-
Just had a Mice and Men moment today, the saddest of all movies (and books).
-
So, I've decided that the time has come to begin working on my masterpiece. That's anywhere between four-hundred and five-hundred pages. Feeling scared, nervous, and uncertain, but my future depends on it. If I die, then I love you all. >.>
-
Sorry about yesterday night. I was caught up in some drama and I had to comfort a friend.
-
Hey! Noticed you peeking and haven't spoken to you in awhile. What's up?
-
Holy crap. El Chapo has been caught. Won't do much to curve the drug market, but still.
-
Nexus is growing in corruption. But you didn't hear that from me.
-
A lot of crap has happened on my birthday over the historical years. Here's what I've managed to dug up: The signing of the second Treaty of Paris; the first time an American flag is flown in battle. The beginning of World War II (hurray). Fredrick Douglass escapes. Oliver Cromwell dies. Wow. Lot's of stuff. O_o

We're meeting again this thursday right?
-
Uncle, it has been too long. How are you?

If you can get to the destination before light gets there, you are effectively getting there before the information transmitted by light can. By shortening the distance, one can avoid travelling faster than c, overcoming the problem of increasing mass. The method of time travel isn't strictly defined, as long as you are changing points in time.

I don't see why there needs to be. If what you really mean is "time travel", there is no point in further convoluting the situation with additional, technical jargon. It is intrinsically understood the methodology can be different. It's like the physical concept of work; it's accomplished in many ways, but if you only knew the end result, you are blind to the underlying process, which isn't necessary to further manipulate the result.

Feeling depression of the oppression that is the obsession of my profession which is answering this question: why isn't there a time machine? BUILD ONE! *Weeps*.

Hey hey. Sorry I missed your birthday. I suck at stuff like that, but that doesn't make it right. We should spend an afternoon or something talking in Xat.

Breaking news: it's snowing. In Florida. What is this witchcraft?

Ha, I heard something catchy today: "Life is a waste of time, and time is a waste of life, so why not get wasted all of the time, and have the time of your life?"
-
Does anyone else find it creepy that a member can view what everyone else is doing from the list at the end of the forums?

I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
-
Hey. I'm sorry about today. I had a lot of stuff on my mind and I forgot. We can reschedule if you want.

A passion for history is a hell that I would wish on no one. It's sheer size boggles the mind, for the pages never end and time rolls forth in both directions ceaselessly. So much is to be discovered, both of man, and his place, that one is left to ask how all of it can be understood in a mere life time? It simply isn't enough. And that's the true futility of it all: an historian will never complete his work. But, with time, I suppose one grows to accept it.

What the hell is this? A chemical leak in our water supply? Drinking, bathing, and cooking water is now contaminated. Seriously?

Such is humanity. Part of being human, I think, is realizing that we all have fallacies and that we can never be perfect. One of my friends told me once that a Utopia will one day be possible. Although I'm not as pessimistic as I used to be, I told her such a thing is impossible. She's too optimistic; certain things about people never change, and the problems we face today are the same that we will be dealing with until our final days as a species. World peace is possible (in the sens...

James Avery is dead. What is this world coming to?

Happy New Year!
