There's plenty you can do, you just refuse to do it. Whether it's out of stubbornness or you guys screwed up somehow and dont want to admit to it, a serious error in judgement has been made here; but please don't sit there and pretend that the devs hands are tied. No one with a functioning cerebral cortex is going to buy that.

All I've got to say is, what in the absolute hell was Nexus thinking.. This is the personification of form over function.

So quick up-to-speed, I do use mods but until recently I played on a monitor using keyboard and mouse and didn't have this issue. Recently however, I started hooking my PC up to my television to game with a controller (Thank you Starfield and Xcom for giving me the motivation to do this). Now, the game works fine; i had to go through a nightmare to get the controller to actually work on Fallout 4 while running F4SE, but it works now. However, i'm having a problem with the camera that is hard to describe. it gets kind of... I guess choppy is the word, when I look in specific directions (specifically, when i look down at the ground, up at the sky, and occasionally at walls). This happens anywhere I go, and the oddest part is that while it feels in these instances like my FPS is tanking, the FPS counter I have in the corner doesn't show a single lost frame while this is happening. Television is in game mode and I do not have this issue with any other games (including the aformentioned Starfield). I can provide a list of mods i'm using tomorrow if need be although its rather long. I have my doubts its the amount of mods though as I said, when I was playing using mouse and keyboard before I didn't notice any issue like this at all. If anyone else has any insight or experience with an issue like this I'd love to hear it, it took me ages to get a controller working at all and now this issue is happening and it messes with my head too much to ignore.

Hey guys, wanted to give you an update. I found the cause (and no, it wasn't overheating or ram. As I insisted, those weren't and aren't the problems). I soon discovered I was getting this issue with other games as well, and to my surprise, the cause wasn't even something internal with my computer. It was my Voltage Stabilizer. It would appear that my stabilizer has become faulty and wasn't providing my computer with enough power when running games, causing it to lock up.

Nothing in my PC is going over 50 degrees, I make sure to monitor that, and as I said, changes to the mods list, even slight changes, seem to fix and/or cause the freeze. General mods list is in the first post. As for my PC specs, Windows 7 64 bit, GTX 970, Intel Core i7-4770K CPU, with 16 GB of ram. Running at 1080p as I see no real need to downscale from higher resolutions.

Aaaaand now its happening again when loading up my save game. What the actual hell..

Hey guys, I'm experiencing an issue I haven't really encountered before. I've been preparing to do a vampire run in the game and so put together a Vortex mod profile for it, however when I load the game up and hit new game, the moment I reach character creation (which is using alternate start and RaceMenu) it freezes. Not just the game, but my entire PC freezes. Alt tabbing and CTRL + ALT + DEL does nothing, the only way to get out of it is to turn my PC off via the power button. Now, I was terrified at this because I figured it sounded like a hardware issue. But upon loading up a second profile that only has the unofficial patch and FNIS, it ran no problem through the games default character creator, no hiccups anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I will include this profiles mod order via a txt file taken using nexus mod manager, and of course can provide any info if asked, regarding my computer. In case it helps, i'm running Windows 7 64 bit, GTX 970. This exact computer has played Skyrim SE no real issue since it came out, this is the first time i've ever seen this happen (CTDs occur occasionally of course, but never a total PC freeze). EDIT: I've narrowed it down guys. Since it always froze when it reached RaceMenu I figured something in character creation must be causing it. I uninstalled ApachiiSkyHair and SaLa hair but kept KS Hairdos installed and loaded it up and experienced no freeze, so either SaLa Hair or Apachii is causing the freeze. The weird part is that in the past my computer was able to load all three without issue.

Odd bug, game acting like I'm walking in water
jaitsu replied to jaitsu's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Loading any previous save, even before completing the college, has it still occurring. Starting a new game does not, so until I can figure out the problem I guess i'm abandoning that character. Unfortunate, it was a really good one. -
Odd bug, game acting like I'm walking in water
jaitsu replied to jaitsu's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Unfortunately not. I attempted to test if that would work by fast traveling to whiterun from winterhold and the bug continued. I also attempted saving and reloading and even then, no luck. -
So after completing the college of winterhold faction quest and handing Ancano his annoying elf ass, I went up to check out the arch-mage quarters briefly. After doing so, I have no discovered that no matter where I go or what I do, the game thinks i'm walking in shallow water. In other words, every step I take no matter where I go in skyrim is accompanied by a splash animation at my characters feet and the sound of splashing as I walk. Some google searching has shown that some people get this if their frames are going above 60, but I have v-sync enabled and use steam to monitor my framerate constantly so I know I don't go over 60, and as said previously, it wasn't happening before I completed the college of winterhold and became arch-mage. Has anyone else experienced this?

Your Chance to Rant about Entitled Mod Users for FO4
jaitsu replied to Fkemman11's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I think its really unfair to act as if its just mod users that are the problem honestly. There are plenty of asshats of course, but i've also seen a lot of mod authors that act like absolute jerks as well. Plenty of them snapping at people for providing the slightest criticism or asking the most reasonable question. Its a problem on both sides of the fence from what i've seen. -
I have one simple question i'd love for bethesda to answer at some point. When the Creation Club launches, how much Bethesda made new content will be on it at release? Not mod creator made, not content made by some other team, but content made by bethesda themselves? I feel that if they aren't going to lead by example and support the system themselves at the start, they give me and others no reason to trust they have any good intentions with this system.

Well good news, I think I found the cause. For anyone else who may experience this, the mod "Spiderwick Manor" causes it.
-
Nope, none that I can think of.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of an odd problem here and I'm wondering if anyone else might've seen this and know what the cause would be. In the Rift, certain ground textures are black (but not without detail) and the leaf textures on it are blue and transparent. I don't recall seeing this ever before so I'm fairly certain It's not a default texture that i've just been ignoring, but I cannot for the life of me think of what mod might be causing it. http://i.imgur.com/mqZQj4Q.png My load order, taken from my plugins.txt in local app data: *Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp *Campfire.esm *ApachiiHair.esm *ApachiiHairFemales.esm *ApachiiHairMales.esm *RSkyrimChildren.esm *ClimatesOfTamriel.esm *Cutting Room Floor.esp *dD-No Spinning Death Animation Merged.esp *VioLens SE.esp *NB-Scars.esp *BijinAIO_SSE-3.1.1-SV.esp Bijin Warmaidens.esp *PrvtIRoyalArmory.esp Bijin NPCs.esp Bijin Wives.esp Serana.esp Valerica.esp *InigoPerkPointGiver.esp *CLARALUX - SSE.esp *VioLens SE - Book Menu.esp *ClimatesOfTamriel-Dungeons-Darker.esp *Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp *Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp *Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp *Sacrosanct - Vampires of Skyrim.esp *Better Vampires.esp *PrvtI_HeavyArmory.esp *Ars Metallica.esp *50 More Perk Points.esp *Whistle.esp *Point The Way.esp *Run For Your Lives.esp *Inigo.esp *Spiderwick Manor.esp *Recorder Follower Base.esp *iNeed.esp *The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp *WetandCold.esp *RSChildren - Complete.esp *RSChildren_PatchUSSEP.esp *ClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-L2.esp *No NPC Greetings.esp *Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp *BVandSacrosanct_Patch.esp *FNIS.esp *FNISspells.esp *XPMSSE.esp *When Vampires Attack.esp *Moonlight Tales Special Edition.esp *KS Hairdo's.esp *Luna_GoV.esp *Volkihar Knight.esp *Volkihar Knight - Better Vampires Patch.esp *Volkihar Knight - Light Armor Option.esp *icepenguinworldmapclassic.esp *Zikoru Swords.esp *ISD_Dragonspear.esp *Mani Follower.esp *Faction Crossbows.esp *Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp *RealisticWaterTwo.esp *Realistic Water Two - iNeed.esp

Just realized this is probably more suitable for the mod troubleshooting section. My bad, sorry guys.

In response to post #39731875. #39738850, #39743505 are all replies on the same post. Yeah, exactly. The thieves need to be dealt with, and dealt with harshly at that, and Bethesda needs to stop screwing around and figure that out. But the people that are using this to jump on a console or Bethesda hate-wagon are in fact making things harder on all sides. Muddying the waters, so to speak.
-
Well put. People on both sides, both PC and console, are going to have to do some growing up now with things suddenly moving forward like this. I won't defend Bethesda on how they've handled the situation of course, but it seems quite clear a lot of people are using it as an excuse to try and start some kind of new hardware war.
-
Funny thing i'm noticing, the people whining about people whining about mods being disabled are being far more obnoxious than the people upset by the disabled mods in the first place.

In response to post #36113280. #36113495 is also a reply to the same post. So in other words, ellsdragon, "WHAAA WHAAA WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE PLAY THE SAME AS ME I FEEL LIKE I HAVE THE RIGHT TO PASS JUDGEMENT BECAUSE PEOPLE USE SOMETHING I DON"T WAAAAHHAAHAAHAHA" Pull your head from your ass.

Hey guys. So my question is this, would it be possible, of not now then when the creation kit is released, to create a mod that changes the battle music, but only when the player is in power armor? So for instance you go in to a fight while not in power armor, it plays the normal music. However if you go in to the same battle while in power armor, it instead plays a custom track, such as, say, black sabbaths Iron Man?

Not even a day has passed, we have one single trailer, and people are already throwing temper tantrums about it. Hate dum, y u exist..
-
Hey guys, I think i've only ever really posted one thing on these forums before so this is more or less my first aloha. so... yo. Anyway, I'm just getting in to modding and am trying to do something simple, create a modified version of the armor and weapons from the skyrim trailer (IE steel sword, studded armor, etc.) From here on i'll use the sword as my example but I think i'm getting the problem with all modified equipment. Anyway using the creation kit I created a new sword using the steel sword, but edited the damage to be a bit higher than the damage for the daedric sword (IE daedric is listed at 14, my steel sword, the sword of dovahkiin, is listed at 16) however when I go in game to test it, the damage is still far below that of a daedric sword (i .additem'd both a daedric sword and the sword of dovahkiin to compare damage, and the sword of dovahkiin was dealing 18, just one above a regular steel sword, whereas the daedric sword was dealing 31). Now like I said, I'm quite new to this and there are probably a million things I don't know or fail to understand. Do the swords have different scaling dependent on their material type? could it be PerMa (which I have installed due to it being awesome) causing it? Could Beelzebub just really enjoy messing with me? All three? Who knows, you decide. (bad joke ahoy!) Anyway, really hoping someone knows what i'm doing wrong and can kindly tell me how stupid i'm being and point me in the right direction. Thanks guys! EDIT: Well I tried loading up the game without PerMa loaded and found that the damage was as it was supposed to be compared to the daedric sword, so it's definitely PerMa that's causing the huge weapon power difference. Now if only I could figure out how to fix that.. EDIT X2: Well, managed to figure it out by screwing around some more with PerMa's XML files. My mod is working as intended now, sorry to waste everyones time. My bad!

Trying to find the cause of odd texture issue of whiterun
jaitsu replied to jaitsu's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well, I'm planning upgrading my GTX 650 Ti to something a bit stronger after christmas, so hopefully i can see a change occur. Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it. Havent made any ini changes yet since my last clean install. It truly is an odd bug, especially since its happening in my most stable install in ages.
