  1. Well, I'm not working on anything, but I have an idea for you. Adding more different voices for characters that already exist by morphing the sound files to sound a bit different, it would be a must have mod and a great service to the community. Or you could offer your services to some of the bigger mod teams, I doubt any of them would turn you down.
  2. I'm reviving this thread now, there must be more!
  3. So i need a few mod recommendations: 1) armor for a spellsword (not archmage battle armor, have that) 2) a good mod for managing item placement in shelves, racks etc. 3) a mod that adds more armor slots? 4) a mod that can hide the helmet so it looks like i don't have one while still getting stats Thank you
  4. These mods do not conflict with each other, but to be safe install Quarl's first. For better looking NPC's i would recommend: Tamriel Immersion experience - makes NPC faces look a lot more unique, a must have in my book Improved facial textures - better facial textures There are perhaps better mods for facial textures but they require body re-placers which require armor compatibility mods etc, i wouldn't recommend installing anything more than this without some basic understanding of OBMM and Wrye Bash. As for the creatures, they have pretty good textures as is, there are probably some mods out there but i haven't tested any out myself. I would recommend FCOM which is a huge gameplay changing mod, and is a must have, but its rather complicated to install and it can break your game pretty easily. Also some sites that might interest you: TOTO and FCOM
  5. Quarl's texture pack 3 redimized - replaces the vanilla textures with high-res alternatives, it's a must have Enhanced water - the name says it all really All Natural - enhances the weather system, higher res sky textures etc + it includes real lights which make the games atmosphere a whole lot better RAEVWD - Makes almost everything visible while distant Better cities or Open Better Cities - makes cities look a whole lot more realistic , the "open" version removes the loading screen when entering cities ergo making cities a part of exterior cells For more mods, visual or any other, check the list of mod lists
  6. Any mods that can help me transfer stats from one piece of armor to another?
  7. I love the "Biggs McLargehuge" style of Warhammer 40k armor...or well, Warhammer 40k in general...
  8. Wrye bash isn't a mod, its a program used for managing mods and savegames. BOSS is also a tool that sorts your mods automatically. FCOM is a mod that combines OOO, MMM, WarCry and Bob's Armory. I recommend following the instructions on the official FCOM page ( http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html ) and after you do that, run BOSS and let it sort the mods out for you.
  9. I beg to differ. I have been a mod consumer since the game was released. Except for a few pauses in which i didn't play oblivion, every time i checked there was a whole variety of new mods to choose from, armor or otherwise. Part of the old crew has left but for every one of them that leaves there are at least 5 other capable modders out there doing something.
  10. So, yesterday i saw my brother play with the voice changer on his DSi and i got an idea... Would it be possible to run some oblivion speech files trough some kind of voice altering software to make it sound different then attach them to some NPC's , ergo adding more variety to the NPC voices. I think that would result in a nice immersion-boosting mod. How hard would it be to pull this of from a technical standpoint?
  11. Seems it was a oblivion.ini problem. Deleted, ran game, crashed he first time, ran the game again, worked like a charm.
  12. Exactly what i was looking for, thanks!
  13. Can anyone give me some armor mods that don't look like they came out of a hentai cartoon? Preferably with some original model and not just a re-textured version of the original armors? Thanks.
  14. So, while i was walking around the imperial city at night i noticed that, as I got closer to a light source, things started to flicker a lot: a) lights were changing intensity (from very bright when i was far away to barley visible when i was near it) b) new light sources popping in or out depending on where i look (move a bit to the left and it turns off, come back and it's on again) c) the only places this doesn't happen in are basements, ruins and caves. I don't know how to get the mods I have in a text file so i will just write down the mods that i think could've caused this: QTP3R UOP (doubt it but it changes meshes so maybe) All Natural with real lights (tried turning off both components, problem was still there) AWLS (tried turning off, had to overwrite meshes with QTP3 since i started getting "missing mesh" when i deactivated it) Better Cities (but doubt it since i don't have it activated in imperial city) So, if anyone could provide some assistance i would be grateful. Thanks in advance.
