Heya... okay, first you can't use OJO and POCO at the same time as one will overwrite the other... ... and you shouldn't use them in combination with DETAILED NORMALS (in my opinion, Detailed Normals is best if you have to run low res otherwise I find it makes things look too much like chewed gum, but that's me) since the author of OJO and POCO went through great trouble to make his own suitable normals (which I think are better anyway). If you want total in-game control of your game's colors, brightness, contrast, power of all the lights and tint : IMAGINATOR If you want to add real-time depth-of-field (like an autofocus camera) : DYNAVISION2 If you want to add a little grain/grit : CINEMATECH If you want to control ALL of the above : DIRECTORS CHAIR (it's awesome). To use it you'll need MCM : MOD CONFIGURATION MENU I personally recommend ELECTRO-CITY (because I made it and I like it), which adds more light sources throughout the game world. If you want MORE KILLIN': WARZONES - MISANTHROPY PURE (adds, big fights and new cities/areas... again, I made it, but I dig it... if your computer can handle it, give it a shot). A WORLD OF PAIN (I had nothing to do with it, but it's great) INCREASED WASTELAND SPAWNS (love it) MONSTER MOD (also known as MoMod it seems, adds more variety to the monsters) I also like MODIFIED COMBAT VALUES v2 for a tad more challenge. More THINKIN'/KILLIN' QUEST MODS: TALES FROM THE BURNING SANDS NEW VEGAS BOUNTIES I & II WEATHER: Hands down you want NEVADA SKIES - URWLIFIED Tweaking your system: No contest, you want FNV CONFIGATOR (spelling error intentional apparently). INVENTORY CONTROL : BIS INVENTORY SORTING (Brumbek's INventory Sorting) TIMESCALE ADJUSTING : IMP'S TIMESCALE ADJUSTER Some cool new Trees and Foliage: VURT'S WASTELAND FOLIAGE something or other... search for Vurt I'm sure I'm missing some stuff (and I omitted that which was mentioned above, although in all honestly, I do not use too many weapon or clothing mods all that much), but this oughta get you started. You should go to the NEVADA SKIES page and nab NEVADA SKIES UWRLified and the NIGHT DARKENER. http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35998 The one I included in ECITY will work with NSKIES-URWLifed (it's mostly for people who are using Vanilla or Fellout at this point), but you get better control with the NIGHT DARKENER. Also remember to keep NSKIES pretty close to the bottom of your load order so other mods don't overwrite the custom CLIMATE setting. The reason ECITY-DARKERNIGHTS doesn't work so well with NSKIES ORIGINAL is because the author created his own WEATHER settings and I long ago 'tabled' the NSKIES compatibility patch for DARKER NIGHTS because it just added to the confusion once UWRLIFIED was released.   7. Oh THANKS! I appreciate the input. I d/led that plugin and reverted to Max2009 Thing is, I'm still having the same/similar troubles. I get marker errors or blank boxes. Is there an "idiot's" walkthrough available somewhere? Or, would you care to write one up? hahah... there are a number of options in the exporter. Also, should I have relinked any textures to DDS files? I appreciate any insight you'd care to offer. David
  8. Heya. I'm usually a fairly self-sufficient guy, but man, I'm going nuts trying to get a .3DS model to successfully convert to a .NIF. I have tried it with 3DSTUDIOMAX 2011 and the NIF 64-bit plugin. I have tried it with BLENDER and the appropriate NIF plugs. I've tried opening an OBJ in NIFSKOPE. The closest I've ever come was getting a blank box the approximate size of the model to import into GECK and what appeared to be a series of textures listed... that was from 3DSTUDIOMAX Now, then, I figured I'm overlooking something simple and stupid... so maybe some fresh eyes on this would be good. I've read a bunch of tutorials and followed them to the letter (I thought). It should be simple, no? I'm just trying to bring in some new ARCHITECTURE models... So... ANYONE with any ideas/experience willing to offer up some advice will be rewarded by becoming an NPC in one of my mods ;) Hahah... whoopie! Thanks David
