I love the idea of Riverview house, I quite like quaint, simple homes, instead of some of the houses with the massive amount of extra features you can find on some Oblivion ones.

Another helpful pointer would be here: cs.elderscrolls.com You could spend the month leading up to Skyrim playing around in the Oblivion CS just to see how things turned out.

This would be entirely feasible. It would just require an immense amount of work, to recreate the models from Oblivion, due to the fact Bethesda don't allow porting of their models between games (as the Morroblivion team discovered). I would be interested on working on a mod such as this, after I completed my Skyrim Mod which is currently in planning. :D

The Nord Wars of Independence A mod for TES: V Skyrim... DURH DUN! TUMBLR HAS ARRIVED. UPDATES EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS REGARDING THE MOD. D: Please be aware this mod is now cancelled. I realised it was pointless in working on a mod like this when the main storyline of Skyrim is a civil war. Maybe in the future, once I complete my newly planned mod series it will be released. Either way, I'll keep in mind my plans for this mod, and maybe, one day, complete them. Right, I've barely ever delivered on my mod ideas for Oblivion, but, I'm determined to get this mod through. I love the idea so much. :D Basically, this is a Quest-Chain in Skyrim during which you have the chance to liberate Skyrim from the Imperial Empire, so simply, make it it's own nation. This mod will feature hours of gameplay, including new armours, npc's, voiced dialouge, weapons and of course areas. Before anybody goes "But Skyrim isn't out yet. Nah, nah, nah". I'm currently planning the mod on what Bethesda have released so far; e.g. the maps, videos, gameplay information etc. Key: text in this colour means the information will be updated more when Skyrim is released. text in this colour means the information will be changed in the near future. text in the colour means that the information will probably not be changed. text in this colour means that the information may be removed. Storyline The storyline of the mod is kinda based around the Scottish Wars of Independence, but not entirely. The people of Skyrim want to be free from the clutches of the Imperial Empire. They want their own nation, with it's own rulers. You are a farmer, from a village on a mountain range. Your family is dead, and you live alone, in your hut. The village people see you as the Chief, and follow your orders to the letter. After your wife and children were killed by the Imperial Legion (as you can see in the intro video that will be featured with the mod), you have a thirst for revenge. The Imperial's have been holding your people in their clutches for too long. Bitter feelings are growing between the Nord's and their rules. It's not long before the rebellion begins. You start by attacking small garrisons with a band of men, but in time you and your band of men take entire cities, and defeat armies. You'll end as the saviour of Skyrim, or you will be betrayed by the Nobles, and executed by the Imperial's. You must use your mind and wits to work out whether or not decisions will play on your side, or help the Imperial's side. Mechanics The mod will run as some form of total conversion, with you being forced to make a new save before playing, and the new save taking you into a different start location. The mod will feature piles of new weapons, items, armours, and food. As well as fully featured voice acting, possibly, by the folks at TESAlliance and anyone else who cares to help out. I'm trying to keep the mod as lore friendly as possible, so if you notice any flaws with anything I announce (lore-wise), then please get in touch. I will be using custom music, which will either be made by people from the TES community, or from other online music creators. Idea Where did I get this idea from? Well a few different factors influenced it: Me being Scottish.Watching Braveheart.My love of modding.From these 3 factors this ideal was born. Whether or not I carry it through is yet to be seen. I can however promise regular updates regarding it, most of which can be found on my Tumblr, which I'll update every couple of days, with screenshots and other goodies. :D I'll provide a link once I make it, >.> Contact & Help ! I will also need authors for the in-game books, and artists to make the loading screens and logo's that will be used throughout the mod. Or if you can help in any other way, (e.g. scripting, ideas, lore-errors), then aslo send a PM. :D All those who help in any way, shape or form, will have their name listed in the Credits, which will run before the vanilla game's credits, in a pretty cool way I'm still inventing more idea's for. ;D

The Carleto Project development thread. logs, blogs, screenshots, and regular updates. all here. Not many people will remember the Mod me and Beerto were working on a while back, it wasn't exactly very big in the community. >.> However, because Skyrims coming out soon, I've decided to finish what I started. The Carleto Project will be released within the next 2 months. Now, it's just me, Oblivion, a rusty Construction Set, and a whole pile of ideas. Read about it below. What the *fluff* is the Carleto Project?? TCP – The Carleto Project is a "small" total conversion for TES IV: Oblivion. It's "small" because it still uses a lot of features from the original game, but's just set in another world, with new races, etc. Here's some history on the project, this may get boring! " It's around June 2010, I've discovered modding in Oblivion! I instantly get engrossed, and decide to make my own city mod! I work on it for around a month, until I hit a snag. I have no ideas for quests, >.>. So, I make a post on the Nexus Forums, and sure as thunder a guy props up. Oli was his name, he offers to write the storyline for the mod. Naturally I accept, then he disappears from MSN, and doesn't get in contact. Before this however, he introduces me to another modder, who's also working on a mod. This guys name is Thorbjørn, we work on the mod for months, and months, and months, until we decided to give it up. We went to work on another mod, then switched to Minecraft. It's pretty sweet. Howeverr, more recently, I've decided I want to finish what I started, and I'm gonna finish TCP. There's gonna be regular updates from now on, and I'll be as active as I can. " Logs <br style="mso-special-character:line-break"> 23/09/11 - Fresh Install of Oblivion. Old file. Damn you corruptions! It doesn't correspond to this page; 12/11/10 - The Market Area in the city is done. It's quite small but needed a lot of work to give it the effect I wanted. (: Screenies some time soon :D 30/10/10 - Work slowed over the past 6 days. We needed a break, and did some smal other mods ^^ But, Im getting back to TCP again :D 24/10/10 - We're still as alive as ever, but your gonna have less updates here for a while. >.< The CS and GIMP is taking up most of my time on the moda atm ^^ 22/10/10 - Carleto isnt the only place in this new planet. Theres A LOT more. We've made brand new lore, and planned brand new places. IN TCP you can only access a little bit of one of the other countries. Kinda like a teaser for the follow up mods we might be making :P 17/10/10 - The New Carleto City has 74 HOUsES! Thats not including our sexy new castle. ^^ I'll put up some pics soon :D 17/10/10 - FORGET ABOUT THE CITY THAT YOU'VE SEEN UP UNTIL NOW! Now its completely revampled, into a tightly packed medievil-themed town. Tight alleyways, perefect for murdering people :P. The lower class district is gone aswell now! Some pics will be up soon, but believe me, you would not want to live in this city! The streets are filled with urine and human faeces. Beggers crawl the steets, guards are scarce and brawls are common. 16/10/10 - Pictures of the Stone Harbour Bathing House are up. ^^ 15/10/10 - Our new two webstores are under work. One is a clothing store and the other a download store. We hope you like them when you see them. All money earned from this, goes straight into our funds and onto getting our own Website Domain Name and better programmes for modeling and other modding things ^^ The website is under work, and will be under a sub domain name until we have sufficient funds. You will also be able to donate to the mod, if you so wish. :D Once again all money goes to a domain name and programmes. 15/10/10 - Map of the largest prison in Carleto is up :D Also, a few more pics are up; A few of the city, and the lower class district of it. Also, you can see the newly textured cathedral. The circular building with the letters "G L" on the door is The Great Library. A giant dungeon, which one you have finished you unlock the secrets of Space. And get the ability to go to Tamriel. The dungeon is filled with riddles and puzzles, and is guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours all by itself. The Chest in the tall grass is one of the many hidden treasures hidden around Carleto. Chests which are filled with gems, gold and artifacts. The Bravil style houses is the lower class district. All of the houses have unique exteriors and interiors. This area is not nearly finished, and is not even nearly cluttered to the full extent it will be. And the pictures with the farmhouses in it is; a small village made by Beerto. With a brand new styled blacksmith, and it is beautiful. 12/10/10 - We now have some of the most epic music ever! You'll love it when we release the next beta! :D 12/10/10 - Iv got rid of all blue roofs! All buildings are no longer blue at all. Still not textured interiors though >.< Screenies up later in the day! :D 11/10/10 - New Screenies Up! The Stone Harbour and The Enterance to The Underground City! :O 10/10/10 - New screenies going to be up tonight. Some of a large dungeon that heats the city... :S And a stone harbour (might be tommorow) 9/10/10 - 2 Brand New - never before seen undergound mines built. And a massive new underground section is being worked on. Your gonna love it! (: 7/10/10 - New trailer is up, YouTube decided to wreck the music and make it all crackly >.< Sorry about that :( But it gives a basic idea of some of the locations in the mod. 6/10/10 - New main storyline sorted out. No hints for you yet though ;) And video of the new character gen area coming up soon. Also a new trailer, will be along. :D 6/10/10 - Now 20 new races! :O More update on this coming soon with more details. 3/10/10 - There's now 9 different dwarven races! Fir enough 7 of them are the same with different beards. ^^ Pic's uploading right now! All of this is thanks to 'Beards SDK by Joel Huenink' Here's the names: City Dwarves (5 Beard colours and 2 long beards. These dwarves are the most common dwarves in Carleto. The majority, but not the most respected.) Ancient Dwarves (Magical and Mystical Dwarves, Long Grey Beards. The most wisest, and best respected of all races. They are not skilled in much, except magic.) Country Dwarves (Live out in the Countryside and have no beards just Itallian Syle moustaches. Most often affiliated with The Evil Gods of Chaos! Dun Dun Dun. ;p Also, they are skilled in blades and archery, and are a lot thinner than the other dwarven races. Making them perfect for sneaking around with. Country Dwarves are not respected as much as other races) Also, only 3 vanilla races still exist entirley. All of them except the Elven Races have been given new names, because it's set in a different planet fron Oblivion. 02/10/10 - We now have another person working on the mod; Beerto - Already he has helped with loads, and has came up with some great plans. Currently, we are working on the main storylines locations and its story. More updates coming today. 01/10/10 - Thanks to a lot of help, scripting and work, you can now start in Carleto, when you start a new game. Now, I don't want to give too much away but here's the basics of what happens and why this happens; We decided to make it that you started in Carleto because, it's in a complete different world from Tamriel. Yes, we've created a whole new planet, but of course, you can only access a small portion of that. Due to the fact, that making a whole new planet in Oblivion would frankly take a lot more time than any modder has to spare. So, you can currently only access the country of Carleto. You will start on a long journey, diving into the history of an ancient coutry. You will be the only person able, to stop Carleto from being, destroyed... This has happened because the actual buildings of Bravil have been placed in a specific location, but the Unique Landscapes mod, has made the place where it's built "un-grounded"(? - is that even a real word) :P Are you sure you've got the latest patch? -

Just open up the CS and go through every NPC and see if they have essential clicked. >.> Although, I do agree with Hickory. There is a reason why they are essential, and it would screw up your game. However, if you don't want to do quests then go ahead and make your mod / get someone to do it for you. Personally, I really don't see why you wouldn't want to do quests? But, everyone to themselves. :P

Well, I've just been set back a bit, I've uninstalled Oblivion, cause it makes my PC crash on Start Up. I'll install it on my Laptop and do the mods on that though, so there might be a small delay in how long it takes for each chapter to be released. Also, I've got another scenario I'm including, howver, this one is going to be the main start, and by far the biggest one. The player starts off as Lord/Leader/Mayor of a small village, (which consists of a few huts), and he can purchase upgrades for it and turn it into a much larger, and well developed settlement. -

Quick heads up, I'm going to Re-Install Oblivion, and get to work on these. :) They're gonna be released in a set of mods which will each have its own nexus page. :) -
Just noticed this thread again, sorry that I never went and did the mod, I've stopped doing Oblivion modding, hopefully, someone will see the thread and do the Mod for you, :)

We're not dying out, we're just having a break until Skyrim comes out, :) Well, presonally, I've stopped with Oblivion modding, and gone onto Fallout, but there is still a lot of activity on Oblivion just now. :)
