I've been modelling and importing new weapons into Oblivion for quite a few years now, but I'm completely lost as to how to get the .nif file working for Skyrim. I got Nifskope running and loading skyrim nifs, but when I took a look at a weapon in skyrim in nifskope I totally got confused. Can someone write up a step by step, to making a new weapon for skyrim in nifskope for me? I'd really appreciate it. I tired the same technique for Oblivion with the new file format, but..... it seems the texturing property is something called "BSLightingShaderProperty", and I when I tired to paste that block into the mesh I imported it just threw it on the bottom of the list unlinked to the model I'm trying to get it too. Really confused... So, yea step by step if anyone could write it up?
