Rage was originally designed to work with low,middle and high technologized computers. It was meant as an intelligent cross-over game for consoles,iPad and computers. But programming such an uber-software is difficult. Afaik Rage is NOT shipped out with id studio tools and modding software. Rage for 32bit systems is an early shot for x-mas... I was not surprised if Dark0ne waits for the upcoming 64bit version which will be done 2012. This version will be shipped out with id studio... In the beta version of Rage id studio was too slow on 32bit and it was too easy to hack into id softwares computer system... Rage 64bit wont have such problems..

And Carmack regrets cross-over computing for Rage.... Many bugs Rage has atm are a result in cross-over programming he tried out in "Rage". It is not the perfect game for the computer nor a perfect game for console but it is still great in its own way... Hopefully all bugs ingame will be terminated after a while...

Of course RAGE would be worth a nexus page. But Dark One is the only person responsible for a wise decision in this case. EFI is an important part of your system: Extensive Firmware Interface is the next generation thing and will be supported by many mainboards and be an essentail part of the chipset... EDIT: EFI is not very popular and was formerly for apple products only. MSI is the only company which provides EFI mainboards for computers...

No chance for a second Broken Steel DLC.... Obsidian is responsible for all three DLCs and they are only planning 3-4 DLCs so far... 1. "Sierra Madre" 2. "Area 51" and an unknown 3rd or fourth DLC.... But Bethesda have to force Obsidian to do a "Broken Steel" DLC but this is hardly possible... Maybe it would be a reason for Obsidian to cancel their plans to do any further DLC... -------------------- If Obsidian refuses to do a DLC like Broken Steel there wont be such a DLC... -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Definitely... Rumours claim they are planning a DLC around the area of "Nellis Air Force Base".... In the Underground is Area 51...after installing the new DLC... Area 51 is not available without this DLC... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont know what Obsidian is planning but I hope its more complicated than MZ was... ------------------------- Its for sure you have to kill a lot of Aliens... -----------------------------------------------------

Sorry to say it but Dead Money does NOT expand the ending and make F:NV an open world game... It is like "The Pitt" in a closed section and you can only leave the landmark after completing the DLC... And it WILL be released for PC afterwards... I believe they want the dlc to be tested by gamers and the reason for NOT providing the DLC for the PC version is to have a "true" impression about the DLC... PC gamers are able to fix bugs and if they have a bugfixed DLC most of them are satisfied. XBOx gamers dont have such an option and give Obsidian and Bethesda a "real" feedback... Pc gamers usually are not expected to give harsh answers... But some of them are honest and say if a game or a DLC is disappointing....

Yes its Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.... "Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption" is based on the pen & paper RPG "Vampire: Dark Ages" and its a game with a medieval setting.... The classical setting for V :TM is the present in an alternate timeline... It takes place in the nineties... The problem of this game are the bugs and the uninteresting setting if you dont go for the Middle-Age... I did not understand the change of the setting... At the end of the game you are acting in the late nineties but it makes no difference.. All in all its pretty liveless... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I dont really prefer this setting but I could understand if some people like it... All in all the game was not my cup of tea... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I prefer "Bloodlines" which takes place in the year 2003... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everybody talks about Gehenna and Doomsday... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was really impressed when I talked to Kain and did not know if it was really Kain or a Malkavian who believes he is Kain... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Both games are commercials for the pen & paper games...but Bloodlines was funny, lively and in a better state... And you really knew Gehenna was yet to come and this world as we knew it would end.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have an XBox you are able to play the DLC "Dead Money".... You have to search for a mystical place called Sierra Madre.... “The Sierra Madre is a mythical place in the wastes, with travelers all risking their lives to find it. Only one man truly “found” it – and lived. After the fall of HELIOS One, Father Elijah of the Brotherhood of Steel set out to find new weapons to eradicate NCR. And in the process he found the Sierra Madre. The Courier is lured to the Sierra Madre by a faint radio broadcast advertising the gala grand opening.” It does not expand FO:NV to an open-world game but it expands the story similiar to The Pitt... And similiar to TP you are not able to leave this place until you have finished the DLC....

My Top 4: 1. Oblivion (with mods) 2. Fallout 3 (with mods) 3. Bloodlines (patched) 4 Fallout New Vegas (patched and with mods) Bloodlines is not playable without the unofficial patch but it is a great last gift of Troika games.... I dont like V: The Masquerade so its not in the list and the story is not catching me..... I dont know if Rage will top all these games but it seems to be a great idea... So either FO4 or Rage will top all these games.....

Ubisofts DRM is a bad example for the gaming industry... But the thoughts behind are great. Cloud computing is the future and it can be a gift for the modding community... John Carmack thinks about using it for Tech 5. Normally its impossible to mod a game with the Tech 5 engine but with cloud computing its possible. Cloud computing gives you the possibility to get access to a server farm and use thousands of Terrabytes and a CPU with several Teraflops.... Normally nobody has such a system at home... ------------------------------------------------- Steam is a chance and not necessary a threat

Yes they wont use Gamebryo for FO 4.... The ZeniMaxMedia Studios ( Bethesda Softworks is owned by ZMM) have bought id software (DOOM 4) and Rage is the last game with id tech 5 engine...
