Yeah I would too, it would make sense for them to remake the game in the newest engine, perhaps as a 'full-length DLC' which gives an extra campaign on the main menu. After all, the original games already have their fans. They would buy it, in droves I reckon, and the newer guys like me would add sales because for me the original games are intriguing, but I'm not prepared to sit through a 16-bit turn based adventure. I need to have my 3D engine, with it's multiple camera views and such. And as gopher said, they should be able to re-use speech, storyline, ambient music etc. A lot of the work was done years ago, and to be honest it's probably a missed opportunity from a business perspective.
