  1. It was weird because installing them named the folders like my filenames..but some renamed in Vortext itself. But I just renamed the few that were wrong and all is well now. Thanks :smile: Still a bit confused as to why like 300 files import into Vortex with my custom file name but the other 100 don't..very odd. This is with renaming and putting mods in the mods folder then starting Vortex. See below how bottom half are named the way I named them and top are named after the mod or something. https://imgur.com/LqDA1lU
  2. Am I missing something here? Coming from NMM and MO I could always just drop and drop my load order. In Vortex I can only use sort and then create manual rules. Is it not possible to completely control the entire load order by drag and drop? Thanks in advance. New to Vortex.
  3. The iss Problem with t his is I have 400 mods I already renamed in Windows...now when I installed them Vortex renamed them all to mod name. An option to KEEP filename would be nice. It imported them in Vortex fine from the folders with my filenames, but as soon as I click install, it renames them. (Sorry for necro, didn't feel a new topic was required for same issue)
  4. I renamed all my 400 mods the way I want them to appear in mod manager. There are about 1/4th that are showing the official mod name (which is sometimes trash) Is there a way to prevent this behavior..I want it to ONLY USE MY MODS FILENAME. Why does it use my filenames on 3/4th of them but not the other 1/4th? Thanks in advance.
  5. I want to actually decrease the size of subtitles, maybe modify the font/colors and move them down to be less obtrusive. Is there such a mod? I couldn't find one. In the past I would just make my own mods, as far as Witcher 3 goes I have not made any mods so I dunno how it works. Might be time to learn.
  6. Good I thought I was the only one. Building a little thing takes an hour when it should take 15 mins, due to having to makeshift items to fill gaps and work out unlevel ground and when you almost fit something but it overlapped, etc.
  7. No one else has this problem? I am so frustrated with building. I think I am a perfectionist too much. So in a kitchen in a house when I can't place a cabinet that matches the non removeable ones..I OCD out. Hah. Sorry for quick bump, I am venting.
  8. I find the overlap restrictions to make it very hard sometimes to build nice bases. We need a toggle snapping on/off and also to be able to build over other objects. Sometimes you need to put a fence or wall right next to another object but can't because of overlap...just as an example. I hope this is something that can be toggled!

  12. Yeah not sure whay Bethesda never fixed this...always have to mod it out which is annoying.
  13. Maybe this cannot be done without the modkit.. It would be nice (albeit unrealistic) if workbench storage was shared across the world. This means if I am by location a and need to drop off loot there without having to fast travel back to locatoin b which is my home base. I don't like to fast travel so rather just have the universal junk storage. This also is better than feeling forced to just add junk items to my game. Anyone agree? Edit: This was supposed to be in Mod Request...sorry about that can mod please move.
  14. I have not played FO3 since original release on consoles, and a friend got my back into it. So I installed the mods he recommended and I use Mod Organizer and LOOT, and FO3EDIT and Merged Patches to sort things out. What is happening is that sometimes..not always and more rare, enemies just walk in place and kind of bounce around the screen oddly. They cannot be killed when they are glitching, either with normal fire, VATS, or even grenades. I seem to remember a mod having said something about a combat bug and if it happened the mod couldn't be used but I cannot recall the mod. I'll try to make a proper mod list and post it but its large so need to work on that, was hoping someone might now of the bug off hand - thanks in advance.
  15. ENB is definitely a big hit..I Just can't play without ENB. I actually use ENB and Injector. The ENB fixes day times from looking oversaturated/contrasted/drab (can't even explain it..it's the Bloom in the ENB that fixes it)
  16. In the same boat as you. Good rig and with that many mods I get 30 in some random places but average 45-60 but even then the 60 doesn't feel smooth. Randomly removing half the mods always improves FPS. It's just a matter of bogging down..too many mods + ENB...it's going to happen on any rig... Using just the mods in STEP + my lighting and ENB stuff, I can run fairly decent but once I add another 100 of my own mods...forget it. Did you use the STEP guide or LOOT/BOSS or WB or anything..that surely helps..but mostly that helps with CTD not FPS. Also did you use lots of 2k-4k textures?? Have you used Texture Optimizer or DDSopt? (Looking at your mod list, you have many/most of the same mods I have..I know some like Expanded Cities..it killed my FPS..literally a 15 FPS drop in Riverwood with that mod on... mods are that way..and the more you add the more bogged Skyrim gets. What's funny is using JUST the STEP mods with ENB and lighting mods..and the game still looks great...it's just a matter of...."But I have this great rig I should be able to run all the mods I want" ..but as we can tell that is just not possible) Do you have bogged down feeling? Like 45-55 FPS for me feels real clunky the more mods I have..even 60 FPS doesn't react as quick as it did when I had less mods installed. Hard to explain..
  17. I have just finished STEP and then installing all the mods I want. I still get 45-60 FPS with 200+ mods including all of STEP + Climates + ENB + ELE + ELFX and tons of textures and other mods.. however I can feel that it doesn't feel as smooth (even at 60 fps) as it didnt earlier in my install process. I want to eliminate performance heavy hitting mods so am trying to research what does it the most. Obviously tons of texture mods..but what about scripted mods and/or all the mods that add MCM menus..I have like 15 MCM menus in my game. With just STEP installed I still get 45-60 FPS (with ENB) depending on weather and location of course..but when its 50-60 it feels lighting fast and smooth so I know it's in some of the mods I added, or it's bogging down with too many. For reference I don't use any uGrids or many ini tweaks at all and here is my system: i7 4790k GTX 780 ASUS Maxiumus VII Hero Z97 2x Samsung 840 Evo SSD 250gb Hyper 212 Cooler Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz
  18. This blows my mind, because for me the premiums don't even work..I was getting about 300kb/s on normal, upgrade to prem and it was about 1Mb/s (which still is horrible) and it dropped to 150kb/s which is where it stayed.
  19. Aye..not sure why they left that out. Earlier I did use Skyedit and it seems to work fine..but I am still trying to find a way to do it in the CK just for peace of mind. Messing with macro programs right now but it's still tedius that way.
  20. Of all the modders out there noone knows this? I know I did this before in FOMM, but I have been told using FOMM for mods can cause issues....but am dumbfounded that there is no batch edit in the CK. Why?

Long ago I made some weight changes of my own on some items and I know with the editor (the Fallout what) that we all used before the CK allowed you to batch edit (select multiple items and edit all at once a value like weight) but in the CK this doesn't seem to work. Is there a way I am missing or do I have to use old editor? Thanks in advance..I tried searching but no luck.

  24. teklanika, Thanks for the great post, I am going over it now and see if i can make this work. Appreciate it =) Both of you. Edit: I read your post and that is perfect for replacing all armors in game..but I wanted to create a "custom" item just for my char to wear so that it didn't effect all NPC's wearing that armor as well. Specifically I want to take the Elven Helm and make it appear as a Hood (probably the Psijic Order one), but custom so that it didn't change all helms in game.
  25. Thanks for this :) I will look into it. I was using Skyedit, as it lays things out MUCH better, however it is not fully functional yet. When usingTESNIP I got lost..since things are sorta all jumbled up. Your post helps, thank you.
