I tried to load and and play with your list after reading a little bit about each mod, first impression in excellent, I have one problem with Deadly Dragons, when I fast travel to small settlements to do a quest, dragon usually attack, usually not a big problem, now they kill the objectives of my quest, in one case a dragon killed the mercenaries that closed a mine and I was asked to talk to them and try to make them leave the place, well, they are all dead now, in the second case, a dragon killed the parent I needed to talk with about his little daughter, well, I did those quests again without fast traveling off fear of dragons. Have you encountered similar cases where the "Deadly Dragons" just killed important NPCs?
  2. For balance, I'll recommend the opposite. Don't be afraid to use Steam. It has been working well for me. Plus, some of my favorite mods are on Steam but not on Nexus! Some examples please? Always interested in new mods.
  3. The easiest way IMHO is using a spell that transforms iron ore (only ore) to silver ore, and silver ore to gold ore. actually silver is better because of the many jewelery crafting options, and then selling them. what is the spell and where to get it:

Thanks guys, @Maul, you are right, talking with Maul adds the entry "Become a full member..." @gsmanners , I've done it before but never checked to see if all entries were checked for a successful quest, only now I've noticed that many optional and non optional entries are left unchecked although the quest ends fine, about your suggestion collecting all but one stone before talking to Vex, I'll do it this round. There is actually a solution to the entry "Become a full member in the thieves guild" added right after talking to maul. If after completing "Taking Care of Business" you talk to Mercer Frey, who gives you the follow up quest "Loud and Clear " and welcomes you to the guild as a member - NEVER talk to Vex right away , if you do, the line "Become a full member in the thieves guild" will never go away, you should first talk to the girl who gives you the full armor set (forgot her name), then the entry is cleared, you are a full member, then go and speak to Vex about the unusual stone. Thanks all of you guys
  5. Hi, I'm playing Sryrim for the second time, first time had too many bugged journal entries, and still I can't avoid them. The quest: No Stone Unturned is given by Vex, the first entry for it is "Become a full member of the Thieves Guild" but you can only talk to Vex after you become a full member. First step - "A Chance Arrangement", it happens in the town's square and grants you the entry to the guild location, second step - "Taking Care of Business", then you get to talk to Mercer Frey, who gives you the follow up quest "Loud and Clear " and welcomes you to the guild as a member. Then and only then will Vex talk to me but I'm already a guild member so the entry "Become a full member of the Thieves Guild" in the quest given by Vex remains unchecked. I've Goggled the subject and many people have the same problem, even ending all related quests an becoming a Master doesn't resolve the unchecked entry. Can anyone who had the entry "Become a full member of the Thieves Guild" in the "No Stone Unturned" quest checked as completed help me please? Many thanks in advance.
  6. Hi, maybe some console expert can help me, I need to delete a journal entry regarding "Taste of death". I've finished the quest but "Speak to brother Verulus about the Hall of the Dead" is still in the journal, although i did it at the time. I've tried: CompleteAllObjectives DA11intro and CompleteAllObjectives DA11, no luck. SetStage DA11intro <n> and SetStage DA11 <n> with all possible stage numbers and no luck. Is there a console command that can force such a deletion of an entry from the journal? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hello, I've completed Taste of death, went through all the stages and yet "Speak to brother Verulus about the Hall of the Dead" remains in the journal under Miscellaneous quests. I need help to remove the entry please, I tried using the console with the quest ID - <DA11intro> for part one and <DA11> for the main part that follows but Nada! Thanks.

Hi, I know that many bounty quests need the use of a console command to bring them to completion, I'm stuck with a bounty note from Raerek which says: Kill the leader of the Dragon Bridge Lookout, On the map the location is already marked as cleared, probably from some earlier bounty note, when I reach the place it's empty, only two tents, no leader and no band. How do I remove it as completed, I know I need the quest ID and some lines in the console, any help please? Thanks. Edit: Found the quest ID to be - BQ02 then in the console: CompleteAllObjectives BQ02 Problem solved, got the sound and the headline saying mission completed.

  11. Thanks, now I understand why they say "INPUT -ALT+TAB may cause some game instability with some hardware configurations and is not advised." in the text file that came with update 1.1 to TES Skyrim.
  12. If I run the game like that, it will not run NVSE. Besides, I use Fake Fullscreen. Active Mod Files: Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I wanted, a neat text file to work with as a reference. One question please, I see a lot of players use what you call "a fake full screen" which is a windowed mode but with no borders, what are the benefits from that? I even found in skyrimnexus that one of the first mods is a borderless windowed mod.
  13. Have you tried going directly to the game folder under steam\steamapps\common and launch falloutNVlauncher.exe directly? About the house in Goodsprings a quote from AWOP docs: "A World Of Pain Location Guide [Contains Minor Spoilers]: 2x Abandoned Goodsprings Shacks Located in Goodsprings, look out for the long dark brown shacks. One belongs to the local gun shop owner Frankie and you will lose karma if you take his stuff. " The local gun shop owner (also created by AWOP) sells you the house. Last but not least, many thanks for reproducing the Knights of the Nine a la wasteland stile. Can you please post your "Active Mod Files:" in a text file format? Thanks Edit: why do some lines like 41 or 5B consist of grouped mods with the ++ sign, why not put then in seperate numbered lines?
  14. Thanks, I'm reading through your list, much to learn from, one question though, isn't a merged patch good enough for small conflicts? I know nothing about GECK but I know how to do a merged patch with FNVedit .

  17. Hello all, I'm a big fan of FOOK and Project Nevada and some more mods. I'd like using them both since they both are very very good. Any advice from people who use them both in a game, I don't mind having duplicate weapons, I'll only carry what I like but there is WMX and WME for both FOOK and PN, how does one get along with both of them in the best manner? I also like Weapon Retexture Project, so I'll have to play with Fook's No Loose Files if I want to use WRP, right? Thanks a lot for any help.

Thanks for helping, turned of skin and scrolling is a breeze again, about changing the download method, I've changed to 'separate page', from that page the download process is normal, but it's not a separate page, it replaces the current page, and after the download starts I need to click back to return to my previous page, but hitting the return initiates a new download, so I've to hit several fast 'back' to return to my previous page and sometimes it returns way too back, so the solution is to Ctrl+mouse click on the file I wish to download so I get a really separate download page.

Congrats on the face lift, I'm using IE8, all the problems mentioned above, I got them, the worst are: downloading requires to go through the process twice to get the Save option, scrolling in particular and navigating in general are slow and seems very "heavy" on the PC. Will using IE9 solve the above mentioned problems? (I kind of hate it's download manager though). About this forum, found out just now, the first line in the reply windows cannot be accessed by some spell checkers and Babylon, so I started my reply from line 2.
  21. Thanks, For example, I've played a mod that uses all the vanilla weapons but with their names changed and some new stats. Everything else is unchanged. None of them shows up in Grunts perks list, so I learning how to add them manually, maybe because the Grunt perk is introduced by Honest Hearts?

  23. Hi, I find myself playing with different mods that introduce new or modified weapons without listing those weapons to an appropriate perk list. I need help on how to make a small patch whose purpose is to add orphan weapons to the appropriate perk list like Demolition Expert Run ‘n Gun, Cowboy, Grunt and so on. Browsing throughout the different tutorials for FNVEdit I found nothing on how to ad a weapon to a perk list, and making a new patch or mod that will do the job.
