  1. The title says it all, besides that I'm trying to create a custom race that is both playable and as a follower(s). I've got the textures needed as well as the meshes, but my skills are lacking in this field. What all do I need to do to get my custom race into Skyrim and how to actually make them playable, be a follower, found in the wilds, as well as HDT physics, body type ect. And if someone would like to help make it, I'm all for it.
  2. In response to post #64261786. #64263106 is also a reply to the same post. It was pretty easy to figure it out when I found out Vortex and NMM can work in tandem. I like it. I like it a lot. lol
  3. I think I may have figured out what Vortex does. Me thinks any changes you make to NMM is changed in Vorted, and vice versa. Maybe I can give Vortex another chance. Wouldn't be the first time I've used two programs to help each other. XD
  4. The "built in LOOT" destroyed my load order and deleted a few plugins and mods that were required for other mods to work. Because of it, I'm having to manually go through and fix what Vortex broke. Everything was fine up until I download the mod manager and hit the import mods from NMM. To me, Vortex just wasn't ready to be released, even as a beta. THANKFULLY, I figured out how to group mods together using nmm and using the install dates as a reference on what goes where.
  5. Exactly. That was one of the other programs it got rid of. FNIS had to be redownloaded as well as LOOT.
  6. I'm agreeing with you there. I tried giving Vortex a chance, but because of it, I'm having to redo every mod I had. Vortex destroyed my load order, deleted plugins some mods require to run, and even went and deleted some mods themselves. They should have just kept with NMM. And I have to agree even more: Vortex is difficult to use, even being a veteran modder.
  7. For a mod organizer that is "supposed" to make things easier, it sure does hate organizing mods that are imported. -_-
  8. XD I forgot how they acted at the start of it.
  9. As I said, they are trying to make us change over. I'm going to go ahead and make the change, whilst backing up my NMM files just to be safe. Better safe then sorry in this case.
  10. In response to post #64251591. By the looks of things, they may be trying to force users to switch to a new mod manager like they did with how the site used to look.
  11. I want to try the new mod manager, but I'm actually very confused on it. Will it overwrite NMM or can I keep both while I learn how to use Vortex?
  12. I'm on my own opinion here, the new layout seems fine, to an extent. To me, and probably other users(though I cannot speak for them) find it difficult to find our way around the new layout. I saw a comment on this thread, not sure who posted it, saying why not do it like Youtube and allow users to use the old layout instead of the new layout if they'd like? Sure, the speed up gained from the new layout is nice and all, and I like that aspect of it since the older layout is a little slow for me and the new layout is much faster, but I can't navigate on the new layout too well. It may come in time I'm able to, and there may be a time I will start using the new layout, but I like the old layout much much better since I am able to find my way around much better. However, if I can find a video explaining how to navigate, then I'll switch after watching it.
  13. I'm not upset with this change, but I can understand the importance of this transition. In fact, I am eager to see what you guys turn up in the long run. Keep up the good work guys behind the scenes! :D
  14. I know some of you had to of thought about it, or at least have seen a map of all of Tamriel. High Hrothgar could be a volcano in its own right. I can give some proof that should help you understand what I mean. Looking at a map of Tamriel, place your finger on the mountain of High Hrothgar and trace a line straight to the volcano of Vvardenfell, or The Red Mountain. Believe it or not, but both line up. If that doesn't peak your interest, then here is another. Geysers almost always form over magma chambers. The heat causes the water to boil and burst up. Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park sits on top of a magma chamber. In Skyrim, geysers can be found in The Rift. Still not convinced? The Aetherium Wars quest only proves my theory even more. The Aetherium Forge sits directly in The Rift. Not only that, The main Chamber of the Forge is inside of a massive magma chamber. I want to read your opinions on this. So comment away with your own theories.
