  1. You mean like placing a beacon that show up on your compass and can be seen from space? . . . The game has that already.
  2. BTW, It's not necessary to have the real file in it's proper folder. The GECK just needs a with the correct name. Meaning, if you create a new record that points to an existing vanilla resource, there's no need to extract it from BSA, just make a dummy text file with the right name in the right place and point the GECK to it (just don't forget to delete it later).
  3. The BSA archive contains 'flags' that inform the game which file types are packed inside. This is a bug in FnvMM, it isn't set to recognize these file types. In OGG's case, it hasn't been used before in FO3 and the BSA tool FnvMM hasn't been updated since. about LOD... where ARE the lod files in FNV?
  4. Just click on your PC or any NPC in the console and enter [setScale #.#] .
  5. But you don't need even to load FalloutNV.esm to edit these fields. just making the changes in the 'Open' dialog then closing it with [X] is enough.
  6. It seems lots of modders, new ones at least, aren't really aware of the space dedicated in the plugin file for entering the Author's name and a short description (the one in the plugin loading dialog). It very simple to use, you don't even have to click 'OK' make it stick it's that easy. and everyone likes to sign their name on their creation. right? Perhaps this is just my personal little quest for order, but putting "Version: #.#" and maybe a one-line description (or more) of what's it all about would go some way to make users (and me) just a tiny bit happier.
  7. In the weapon properties, 'Art and Sound' tab, lowest left corner (Or in 'Flags 2' in FNVEdit). there's 'Has night vision' checkbox. .
  8. nifskope is only for manipulating model properties, and some cut and paste options. for real model editing you need blender (or other 3D-editing apps).
  9. Well, after much digging... I found Open All Areas. this does just the thing!! (but unfortunately, doesn't give access to Ostagar).
  10. What the title says... Is there any way to reopen the map areas after main quest?
  11. yep, It's very much a memory leak issue. over-loading the hardware results consistent symptoms, which isn't the case here.
  12. I have a similar problem. In random dialogs and cut-scenes the game will gradually slow down until it grinds down to a frame per minute (!), if I manage to fast-click through the dialog before the game slows down too much, the game will resume to normal FPS. It has nothing to do with high-rez textures, the same models and textures are present on-screen doing game-play with no problems.
  13. The way I do it is to have a mage with several "freeze" spells. that is: paralyze, CoC, petrify, paralyze rune, etc... (you should have at least 2). try to keep one dragon immobilized and concentrate on the other.
  14. I'd recommend some mods that make minor tweaks without changing it, the original game is excellent. Advanced Tactics is great, it makes the tactics better without changing how they work. Endgame Dialogue Fixes, bug fixes is always good. White teeth... yellow teeth is bad for you.
  15. it's not where but when, in what stage of the overall plot you are. Edit: after trying the SelectParty command, I don't see any of additional effects (like getting the "secret character and extra achievement) mentioned in the wiki, so perhaps it has been changed...
  16. how safe is that mod? the wiki says that using 'runscript selectparty' can cause problems, does the mod avoid those problems?
  17. I'd love to see a tweak to allow party selection in Denerim market. there's absolutely no reason not too, since you can travel directly to the camp from the market... disallowing it is just a time consuming oversight.
  18. when I did that Alister helped me kill Leliana and stayed (he didn't like though).
  19. This is a known problem, there is a detailed page for troubleshooting it.
  20. except for RP reasons, there's no need to play the entire game again. you can go back to a save right before the event and choose the blood mage option, it will then be open to all characters in all saves.
  21. Right to the moment they get their skull cracked open 8) . check this one out.
  22. This tutorial is a quick and dirty way to add a custom item to your inventory.
  23. I'm talking about Return to Ostagar DLC... and how useless a DLC's content is if you have nothing to do with it once you acquire it.
  24. the post finale save is supposed to be, chronologically, before the final battle (denerim should still be fine). but besides that, the coming "Return to ostagar" is said to have a new armor. if when finishing it I'm stuck again with nowhere to go... what's the point :wallbash: .
  25. I think it's ridiculous that I'm locked out of all locations except the DLC after the final battle. Why can't I leave some board quests for after the battle?? even worse, if you don't "discover and unlock" Cadash thaig before the final battle you can't access it at all.
