1. Hey everyone :smile:

    Would any1 happen to know the .cut / .cub name of Bella's kissing cut-scene?

    Though I am not completely sure if the files are possible to separate from the main files without building a new set of .cut / .cub cut-scenes from scratch :confused:

    With best regards

  2. Hey every1 just a quick post for adding the new "Pretty Dwarf Female" (author adriangi) to the NBaio override config (author Altorian+).

    First of you need to change the "OverrideConfig".

    In the OverrideConfig go the section 4 = <Section_4 Name="Dwarf Female">

    Here remove the part that reads:

    <Key_0 Name="Body Model" DefaultValue="NB Big Breast" OriginalFile="df_arm_nud_0.msh">

    <Value_0 Value="NB Big Breast" OptionsFile="(NB100)df_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    </Key_0>

    And replace it with the following (You should be able to copy-past this section):

    <Key_0 Name="Body Model" DefaultValue="NB Big Breast" OriginalFile="df_arm_nud_0.msh">

    <Value_0 Value="NB Big Breast" OptionsFile="(NB100)df_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_1 Value="RL Big Dwarf Boobs" OptionsFile="(RL DF Big Boobs)df_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_2 Value="RL Medium Dwarf Boobs" OptionsFile="(RL DF Medium Boobs)df_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_3 Value="RL Small Dwarf Boobs" OptionsFile="(RL DF Small Boobs)df_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    </Key_0>

    <Key_1 Name="Hand Size Model" DefaultValue="NB Big Hand Size" OriginalFile="df_glv_nud_0.msh">

    <Value_0 Value="NB Big Hand Size" OptionsFile="(NB100)df_glv_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_1 Value="RL Dwarf Female Hand" OptionsFile="(RL DF Hand)df_glv_nud_0.msh" />

    </Key_1>

    <Key_2 Name="Leg Model" DefaultValue="NB Leg" OriginalFile="df_boo_nud_0.msh">

    <Value_0 Value="NB Leg" OptionsFile="(NB100)df_boo_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_1 Value="RL Dwarf Female Leg" OptionsFile="(RL DF Legs)df_boo_nud_0.msh" />

    </Key_2>

    Remember to change key name of the "<Key_1" section to "<Key_3" (Remember there is a "key" number in the beginning and end of each key section i.e. in this case starts with "<Key_1" and ends with "<Key_1" BOTH needs to be changed to "<Key_3")

    And hit SAVE, the OverrideConfig is now done :thumbsup:

    Now for the files.

    Go to the NBaio "Default / Dwarf Female" folder and make a copy of the 3 files named:

    df_arm_nud_0

    df_boo_nud_0

    df_glv_nud_0

    And place them in the "Variants / DF" folder.

    Here you need to rename them by adding "(NB100)" in front of their name.

    They should look like this when done:

    (NB100)df_arm_nud_0

    (NB100)df_boo_nud_0

    (NB100)df_glv_nud_0

    There might already be a file in the folder with the name "(NB100)df_arm_nud_0", if so then just remove the one you added.

    Now go to the "Pretty Dwarf Female" folder and rename the files inside, the result should look like this:

    (RL DF Big Boobs)df_arm_nud_0

    (RL DF Medium Boobs)df_arm_nud_0

    (RL DF Small Boobs)df_arm_nud_0

    (RL DF Hand)df_glv_nud_0

    (RL DF Legs)df_boo_nud_0

    Which files to name what should be pretty obvious hehe :biggrin:

    Once you have renamed the files remove them from their folders and place them in the "Variants / DF" folder.

    Rebuild the "override" file and you should be good to go :thumbsup:

    Should I have made any mistakes in the guide feel free to add comments here to help me and others correct them :smile:

    With best regards

  3. Could anyone possibly make the hairstyles as shown on the 3 images?

    I particularly would love to have the "Angi01" hairstyle, if possible with the loose strains of hair in the front included.

    The "Angi01" is the classic Tomb Raider hairstyle, which I am sure it will be possible to find several more pictures to use as reference.

    I really hope someone will be able to create this since it have been an all time favourite tuff chick hairstyle of mine, which also other actresses like the ever hot Michelle Rodriguez have been known to use.

  4. Hey all.

    This is a compilation of my personal advises posted in the "DAO-Modmanager" mod "Comments" section.

    Some ppl have found some of these tips very useful, so you might too.

    All the "comments" have been copy pasted in to this post without any editing so there might be small fractions of text with no relevance to the advise itself, so just ignore them.

    All names have been deleted and replaced with "XXXXX" to not implement anyone else in this post.

    Anyway I hope you find any useful tips here that, if not solving your problems, might give you an idea on how to do it.

    @ XXXXX

    This might have to do with the downloader, I have the same problem sometimes, to fix it just type in ".dazip" after the mod name when you save the download to your computer, however you must be sure that the mod actually is a .dazip file, cause if not then it can bug the modmanager.

    Side note: Should you by mistake bug your modmanager in this way, the only way to fix it is to go to the dazip folder and delete the file manually from there, the mod window on the modmanager itself might appear as completely blank, as if no mods are added, this is however only a visually bug and the installed mods will reappear as soon as the faulty mod is removed from the folder, so don't freak out if this happens hehe.

    Also in case ppl haven't noticed this, the open area at the bottom half of the modmanager can be used to manage all installed and not installed mods, both .dazip and .override, I can highly recommend starting by adding all the mods you want to install to this window first and then install them from there.

    Furthermore this will also make it easier to uninstall and reinstall your mods, cause when you uninstall the mods they will still be available from this window instead of you having to get them from an external folder if you want to reinstall the mod again at a later point.

    @ With install problems

    Massive files like the "Natural Bodies All in One" mod can take a really long time to install, for those with "Windows" you might even get a "Not responding" warning in the top bar of the window, just ignore this, this is just a faulty error message on Microsoft's side, in this case it simply just means that you can't interact with the window and NOT that the program is crashed.

    For slow computers the installing of mods like "NBaio" might even take as long as 30 seconds, but until you get a "pop-up" saying "DAO-Modmanager has stopped working" the program is STILL working and in the progress of installing.

    I'd advise you not to work with anything else on your computer while mods like these are installing, cause if an install takes too long to finish, it will "Time-out" and the install will be cancelled by your computer.

    Other types of crashes might only just require you to close the DAO-Modmanager and start it up again.

    Anyway I hope this advise will help some (if not all) of you to get over this hurtle :0)

    @ XXXX

    Actually it's quite simple to make the overrides yourself, I only ever use this manager to add mods to the game and never the bla/bla/bla/core/override way.

    The process is simple:

    01 - Click on the "Override Creator"

    02 - Then click on "New Override Packet"

    03 - Type in whatever name you want or simply copy paste the mod name into the title space and hit "OK" (ofc)

    04 - You'll now have several options for adding "Version" / "GameVersion" / "Publisher" and so on, these are NOT in any way required to be fill out, so just leave them blank for now. At this point you need to make sure you click on the folder in the "folder-path-window" (Bottom left corner) which has the name that you just created for the override (!WARNING! make sure it's the folder at the very bottom of the folder-tree and not the one that branches out from "Modules").

    05 - Now drag all the files from the mod you want to create an override for, into the window with the lines (Bottom right window). If the mod you want to add has several folders within the main mod folder, do NOT extract the files themselves into the window without the folder, instead add the entire folders as they are, otherwise there might occur errors in the mod.

    06 - Now just click the "Create Override Packet" at the top of the mod window and wait till the manager has finished building the override, for small mods this will most likely be an instant process, but larger ones might take a few seconds. You can easily see when it is done processing the packet, if you are not sure then just keep an eye on the "New Override Packet", "Edit Override Packet" titles, they will be turned active once the packet has been completed :)

    07 - Now go to the "Mods" section of the modmanager and your new override should be displayed in the bottom window of the modmanager. From here you can either "right-click" on the mod and select "Install" or simply drag it from there to the "Installed Overrides" window and vola! your mod is installed :)

    The best part of this manager is that if you for one reason or another want to uninstall the mod, you will not lose the override when uninstalling it, it will instead return to the bottom window and be available to be installed again at a later time should you so desire ^^

    @ XXXXX

    Okay I'm not completely sure what XXXXX's answer to you, it's been awhile since I last used my German, but I think I got the basics of what was said hehe.

    In any case the thing you mention about the program giving you an error message that say you need to, as you said: "go forward (without doing anything after) or quit the program" I have experienced that allot myself, though I have only had it popup when I have been trying to create an override with a "Configure" option, which I have still not been able to do xD

    When you get a message like this, in most cases, there is no other way to go about this then completely removing the override and build it again from scratch.

    If you want to make completely sure it is deleted, start by uninstalling it and also "right-click-delete" it if you have it in the bottom window, BUT!, in cases like these where there is a bug involved, then before you delete it, "right-click" the mod and click on "Open folder", once the window opens just "minimize" it and return to the DAO-Modmanager window, now "right-click-delete" the mod from the manager, when this is done go to the window you opened with the "Open folder" option and double check that the override in fact has been deleted, it has to be said that I have only twice b4 actually experienced that the file didn't delete properly, but better safe than sorry :)

    But just to be safe b4 you delete the mod I have to ask: did you make sure to uninstall the mod from the "Installed Overrides" window, b4 you tried to edit it? It doesn't always cause a problem if you don't, but sometimes it can.

    @ XXXX

    What mod are you trying to build an override for?

    @ XXXXX

    As I have said b4 I am a major fan of your mod, so I am always happy to be able to help whenever I can :)

    @ XXXXX

    My "comment" at [18:37, 22 March 2010] in this mod's comment section might help explain the bug you are experiencing.

    Also my comment at [17:42, 26 March 2010] might help with a complete removal of an installed mod on the manager, it's sort of a double-check uninstalling and though that subject is in regards to the removal of overrides, the same process can be used for .dazips, but in this case when it's a bug in the window so you can't see the dazips, you need to set the options in the bottom window to "List" and "Show installed dazips", this window should be able to display the installed dazips that you can't see in the main window and from here you can delete the mods, if you don't know which one has caused the bug you might have to approach it systematically and remove them one by one and open and close the modmanager after each mod has been removed to refresh the mod window.

    Just to be clear, I don't know if the bug you are experiencing is caused by what my solution is aimed at, so it has to be used at own risk, but as you describe it, it appears to be what I have experienced myself :0)

  6. Hey m8ie.

    If you go to the "DAO-Modmanager" mod page http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=277 and search through the "Comments" section of the mod, you'll find several posts from me that have helped allot of other ppl with the creation of the override files and more for the DAO-Modmanager.

    You might need to go through a bit of pages to find all of them but they should be able to give you the help needed to get you on your way with using this great mod :smile:

  7. This guide has been made to assist Dje57 and other interested parties :smile:

    The easiest way to access the override file contents if you don't have access to any programs that will do this for you is to first install the "Natural Bodies All in One" in your DAO-Modmanager and then go to the good old:

    c:/user/(your username)/documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/override

    Find the NBaio folder and copy it to your desktop (DO NOT REMOVE THE FOLDER, ONLY USE COPY).

    Inside you'll find an .XML file called "OverrideConfig" open this file with your "Notepad" text program. For better viewing, maximize the Notepad window.

    __________

    Now all you need to do is add the text lines that will guide the program to the right textures.

    This is the text lines which must be added to the "OverrideConfig" if you want to use this guide. The text must be added between the lowest "<Value_" line but above the first "
" in each of the sections:

    At the bottom of the section named:

    <Key_0 Name="Body Model" DefaultValue="RL Artemis Medium Breast©" OriginalFile="hf_arm_nud_0.msh">

    Add the following:

    <Value_XX Value="NB Amazon Curves TypeA" OptionsFile="(NB Amazon Curves TypeA)hf_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Big Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Big v13)hf_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Huge Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Huge v13)hf_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Medium Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Medium v13)hf_arm_nud_0.msh" />

    __________

    At the bottom of the section named:

    <Key_1 Name="Hand Size Model" DefaultValue="RL Small Hand Size" OriginalFile="hf_glv_nud_0.msh">

    Add the following:

    <Value_XX Value="NB Amazon Curves TypeA" OptionsFile="(NB Amazon Curves TypeA)hf_glv_nud_0.msh" />

    __________

    At the bottom of the section named:

    <Key_2 Name="Leg Model" DefaultValue="RL Sensual Leg" OriginalFile="hf_boo_nud_0.msh">

    Add the following:

    <Value_XX Value="NB Amazon Curves TypeA" OptionsFile="(NB Amazon Curves TypeA)hf_boo_nud_0.msh" />

    __________

    At the bottom of the section named:

    <Key_3 Name="Bodys Special Texture" DefaultValue="RL Glamour sexy trim HD" OriginalFile="HF_100_d.dds">

    Add the following:

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Big Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Big v13)HF_100_d.dds" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Huge Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Huge v13)HF_100_d.dds" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Medium Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Medium v13)HF_100_d.dds" />

    __________

    At the bottom of the section named:

    <Key_4 Name="Body look Texture" DefaultValue="RL Glamour AA Body HD" OriginalFile="HF_100_n.dds">

    Add the following:

    <Value_XX Value="NB Amazon Curves TypeA" OptionsFile="(NB Amazon Curves TypeA)HF_100_n.dds" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Big Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Big v13)HF_100_n.dds" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Huge Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Huge v13)HF_100_n.dds" />

    <Value_XX Value="NB Pornstar body Medium Tits v13" OptionsFile="(Pornstar body Medium v13)HF_100_n.dds" />

    __________

    Once a section of text have been added, change the "<Value_XX" to continue the increasing numbers of the above value, i.e. if the above is <Value_12 you must change the XX to 13 and next XX to 14 and so on.

    To keep everything nice and neat, make sure to line up the added text lines in the same manner as the existing text, either by the use of "Tab" or "Space".

    When you are done with this process, save the file by using the "Save", make sure you DON'T use "Save As" since this will save the file in a .txt format and not as an .XML, which will make it useless as a program file.

    __________

    Now you need to arrange the texture files.

    First of you'll need to download J1nX's "Amazon Curves for NaturalBodies" and VHunter666's "Pornstar body v132".

    Next rename all the files from the two mods in the following way:

    Pornstar body v132

    To all the files in the folder "big tits" add: (Pornstar body Big v13) in front of the existing names

    To all the files in the folder "huge tits" add: (Pornstar body Huge v13) in front of the existing names

    To all the files in the folder "medium tits" add: (Pornstar body Medium v13) in front of the existing names

    Amazon Curves for NaturalBodies

    To all the files from this mod add: (NB Amazon Curves TypeA) in front of the existing names.

    __________

    Now you need to sort out the files, take all the .msh type files and place them inside the: NBaio/Variants/HF folder and all the rest of the files inside the: NBaio/Variants/TF folder.

    __________

    The final step is to build the override file again by using the DAO-Modmanager, in case you don't know how, or you are not sure how, just follow these quick steps.

    1st - Open DAO-Modmanager

    2nd - Click the "Override Creator" in the top of the window

    3rd - Click the "New Override Packet"

    4th - In the "Title" creation popup window paste in NBaio, or in case you want to keep the original NBaio along with the new one, add something like "NBaio - (your name)", I'd suggest keeping the "NBaio" as a part of the name to honour the original creators of the override platform.

    5th - In the bottom left corner click on the folder at the very bottom of the "Folder-tree", it should have the name you just created, make sure it's the folder at the very bottom.

    6th - Now drag the two folders and the .XML file from the "NBaio" on your desktop, to the bottom right window in the DAO-Modmanager.

    7th - Click on the "Create Override Packet" and you are done! ^^

    The override should now be available to install from the "Mods in mods Folder" window in the "Mod" section of DAO-Modmanager and you are set to go :)

    Remember you need to uninstall the NBaio you used for the desktop copy b4 installing the new one and again, do NOT delete the NBaio folder from the override folder manually, it needs to be removed by uninstalling it with DAO-Modmanager, or you will risk getting bugged if you subsequently try to remove it by using the DAO-Modmanager.

    ___________

    Advise on body set-up for the added textures with DAO-Modmanager for in-game use:

    The reason I haven't made any text for the regular "Amazon" body texture is that it is very hard to mix with the more popular body mods, so I only use the "NB Amazon" version myself.

    If you want to use the "NB Pornstar", you don't need to set all the config options to the "NB Pornstar Body" textures, some of them can be set for other optionals, but you'll get the best result if you choose the corresponding options, the same goes for "NB Amazon".

    Any config choice that doesn't have a "Pornstar" or "Amazon" option can often be set to anything you want from those categories, but again, if you want a safe result select a "NB" option whereever possible in those categories.

    ___________

    Should any1 discover any flaws in my description of the process please let me know so I can correct it :)

    Also should any1 have any further advise with regards to the matters in question please feel free to add them :wink:

  9. Hey every1.

    I assume it's no long a news that the new expansion will be arriving soon :thumbsup: and as most other ppl I am annoyed :verymad: that I can't find a website that can inform me about which webshops offer what "Pre-order" bonuses, since this sometime varies from shop to shop, so I thought I'd start this thread.

    If any1 have any information on special offers provided by webshops with regards to the DAO Awakening expansion, please add them to this thread :thanks:

  10. Yea that was kind of the same thing I meant :yes: , a sub-forum is really all I was looking for. The Nexus forum / website have a very large fan base with allot of already established users, with names we all recognize in both the "comment" and "forum" sections of the website, so adding a ME2 forum here would make it possible for all of us to chat with the ppl we already know within a forum we already like and trust, just a thought :smile:

  11. Hey guys and gals.

    Will Nexus be making a Mass Effect 2 website? or adleast a forum section for it?

  12. Hey guys and gals.

    I know this have been requested b4 but it is still a request that is desperately needed :( , some1 said that there was some sort of game-conflict that made this hard to do for some reason :confused: . But might this be possible to work around if you create an in-game item that can be activated to scale him? was thinking of something like the Appearance Shifter created by author Yonline, where you get a crystal or something, in your backpack that you can then activate to scale him up by fixed scales, like 10% / 20% and so on.

    If any1 could take a look at this, it would mean allot to allot of ppl :thumbsup:

  13. Shale is a "she"???

    And don't really get the "she didn't fit in the game engine " in what way is that to be understood?, when there are allot of other creatures in the game that are way bigger.

  16. Yea that's the one I tried out, but without any luck. Tried the manually install guide too, but at the end of the guide the information you get isn't very detailed in what info to put where so not sure I even did it right, even though I tried out some different ways of doing it.

    But thx anyway :)

    Hey guys and girls.

    Could any1 by chance point me in the right direction to somewhere you can read or get help on getting the DAtoolset to work? (Have alrdy tried the one from EA / Bioware)

    My brain is at this point almost overflowing by ideas for DAO mod'ings, so it is really annoying that I can't get them "down on paper" sort of speak. I have tried and tried to get the DAtoolset up and running but keep getting the "unable to connect to the database" no matter what I do http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/wallbash.gif

    Plezz HELP! b4 my head explodes http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/wacko.gif

  18. Hey guys and gals.

    Any1 know how to change a standard armor so it gets the shape and look of a body morph (underwear mod)?

    I have already tried just changing the names where the end part of the names are the same, but the result is still showing the basic armor shape, just with a less attractive color xD

    I have an armor like the normal Dalish armor which is build from the following files:

    hf_arm_lgt_0.msh

    hf_arm_lgtb_0.mmh

    hf_arm_lgtb_0.phy

    pf_arm_lgtb.mao

    pf_arm_lgtb_0d.dds

    pf_arm_lgtb_0n.dds

    pf_arm_lgtb_0s.dds

    pf_arm_lgtb_0t.dds

    But the body morph I want it to look like only have the following files:

    hf_arm_nud_0.msh

    hf_arm_nuda_0d.dds

    hf_arm_nuda_0n.dds

    hf_arm_nuda_0s.dds

    hf_arm_nuda_0t.dds

    Is it then even possible to make the morph?

    And if so, then how do I do it?

  19. I would say yes, they released a toolset so intend people to use it. Many of the mods hosted here can probably be found on the Bioware mod site to.

    Cool thanks :thanks: , had kinda come to that conclusion myself but just wanted to be sure :smile:

  20. Hey guys and gals.

    I am relatively new to using mods for DAO and have a hard time figuring out :blink: if modding of the degree that you can download from Dragon Age Nexus and other websites is officially accepted by Bioware :thumbsup: , or is it considered as "hacks" :down: ?

    Can any one tell me?

    Best regards and :thanks: in advance
