  1. YESSSS!!! I fixed it. I finally found the problem. It wasn't the enb and it wasn't anything that I thought would be the problem. It turns out that the shadow pc has a display adapter property that can change the refresh rate of the display. Now I had this set to the refresh rate of my monitor but that was the wrong setting to have. You need to set the display adapter property to the highest that shadow offers which is 144hz even though that refresh rate isn't supported by your monitor tv etc it still needs to be selected. This caused the problem with oblivion. I just started using shadow and I only have one other game installed which is Star Citizen. This will take care of any lag problems if you are using the shadow pc. This deserves a danciing banna.
  2. Ok. I've narrowed down the problem to one file. It's the d3d9.dll file from ENB that's causing it not to work. like I said it will work if I uncheck disable fullscreen optimizations but I need that checked. still searching.
  3. I'm still trying to figure it out. I've tried messing with setting in Nvidia control panel but nothing worked. I believe this is a specific problem on the ENB side because no matter what setting I use for the game or for Nvidia nothing will work to get the ENB workinng as I have to have disable full screen optimizations checked. I don't think there is an ENB setting that will do it for me. I'll be on here hoping for suggestions but I'm going to look in ENB forums for help too.
  4. I've been searching google and trying to find out an answer to this problem and I need help. I'll walk you through the process of what I've done. First I have a shadow PC from shadow that I'm using. I have shadow up and running, installed correctly. There is a thing with shadow but as I've come to understand is that in order for oblivion or most games to run fluidly is I have to disable fullscreen optimizations in properties under the exe in this case Oblivion.exe right click to properties and check disable full screen optimizations. The game won't stutter/have screen response lag if I do this. I can have many mods installed and I have no problem. The problem I run into is when I use an ENB. If I use an ENB or oblivion reloaded with the disable full screen optimizations checked the game won't even start. I have to uncheck or enable full screen optimizations in order for the game to run with an ENB I have tried going into the registry and disable fullscreen optimizations system wide but it won't work for the program unless I check it. I currently have only the ENB installed and the game won't work if I click disable full screen optimizations but I need that checked. How can I get the ENB working with that checked? Thanks for your help.
  5. No problems from me. I always make an exception in Ad-block for Nexus so as to let the ads run. I even pay for premium as the download speeds are so worth it. The work that you guys do is astounding. Keep up the good work and have a safe holiday ahead. Game on! Best, Spoony
  6. Yes. I spoke with Arthmoor. It could be a false positive. But it could be that xEdit hasn't taken into account changes. I only questioned it because none of my other mods have errors when xEdit checks for them.
  7. I downloaded again both manually and through NMM. Both times the same error came up. The file still has an error. Changing the edit without knowing what goes there can mesh things up even more. Even if I think what goes there based on the other patches and do that it could potentially be wrong. I'll keep searching. Perhaps go to Redwater Den to see if there is a glitch.
  8. I am getting this error for USLEEP in TES5edit: [00:18] DLC1RedwaterDenLocation "Redwater Den" [LCTN:02004D6F] [00:18] LCTN \ ACEP - Actor Cell Enable Point \ #6 \ Ref -> Found a PLYR reference, expected: ACHR,PARW,PBAR,PBEA,PCON,PFLA,PGRE,PHZD,PMIS,REFR What is the fix? To further look into it I activated the Unofficial patch for just skyrim and just dawnguard. I looked into DLC1 Redwater Den in TES5edit and was checking for the error. I think there is something really screwed up there which is in (Actor Cell Enable Point\ #6.) that line is totally different from dawnguard.esm and unofficial dawnguard patch.esp I found this which is not in the other patches. [REFR:000CE5FA] (places TreasBanditChest "Chest" [CONT:0003AC21] in GRUP Cell Temporary Children of POIFallForest05 [CELL:0000BC34] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] at 33,-19)) [Player 00000014] In this particular section it goes from #0 - #8 The legendary patch has all 0 - 8 with data under ACEP The other patches only have 0 -7 filled with data I don't want to ignore the error. Also the error comes up in Merge Plugin which is where I noticed errors in the first place but it was confirmed in TES5edit.
  9. Before this fresh install I had a lot of mods installed (that now aren't) most importantly ones that fixed bugs and crashes etc as well as optimized textures and more bugs and patches. These errors weren't there on my previous install with mods activated. when you open CK and just load the main Skyrim.esm does it take into account any mods you have installed. If not then I'm puzzled on why there are so many errors as I haven't had them before. And it's ok. No one has to download the file if you don't think you can trust it but I promise there is nothing on it that will harm anyones computer. It's just a copy of the editor ini in the skyrim folder.
  10. Hello Everyone. I recently did a complete fresh install of Skyrim, and when I mean fresh, I mean fresh. My operating system is windows 10 in case that info is of any use. I have uninstalled steam using revo and have deleted every know possible file related to steam and all the game I have. After that was done I deleted my local AppData related to Steam, Skyrim, and the Creation Kit. I have also deleted My Games in My Documents. Every file has been deleted. I then, reinstall Steam, and then Skyrim. I also install the Creation Kit. I validate CK files and Skyrim files...twice. With a fresh install and nothing changed I run Skyrim up until the first save point. I then make the necessary edits in editor ini to allow multiple master loads. I open creation Kit and everything is good so far. When I click on file to load Data I get warnings and errors. First I just load Skyrim.esm and I get NavMesh errors when loaded I then load Skyrim.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm, Dragonborn.esm, Update.esm, and creationkitdlcfix.esp I then receive more errors, Quest, FORM, Editors, MasterFile etc. This is a link to my SkyrimEditor.ini Can anyone help me on why I am receiving these errors. On my previous install, I did not receive any errors.
  11. That makes sense. Â So it would be an activator of some kind. Â The NPC does walk to a spot and triggers the animation. Â So the shift is considered part of the animation or the activator moves them to the spot where the animation takes place. Â The idea would be to have her move to the spot where the animation is and have the activator there instead of being away from where the animation needs to take place. Â hmm. No I'm intrigued. I will do some research on how to edit activators and animation. That might have to do with editing scripts.
  12. Make sure everything is running as administrator. Don't download FNIS manually. Use the install with manager. Also make sure you have ownership of your files. There is a program called take ownership. Google it. Make sure Nexus is up to date. Make sure the game is up to date, and follow the mod instructions. It is also possible that it didn't download correctly and just needs to be done again.
  13. I do remember reading something about markers....grrr lol it does bug me though....that shift the imperial captain does... I don't understand why she sifts if she is told to go to one spot....oh well
  14. Yes!! Thank you @IsharaMeradin. I was able to find the scene, delete those two lines and save the esp to add to my load order. I don't use any other mod that edits the opening scene. I tested the game out and started a new game with just those two lines removed. The only thing you hear is: "What in Oblivion is that!" -pause- then the dragon comes down, impact the tower, then you here: "Dragon!" This is more impactful. It pauses for dramatic effect, and it doesn't introduce the poor timing of those two lines which are not needed anyway. It would take a whole lot of work to edit it further. And I'm not getting paid to do it so... Bethesda should have done so much more for this game....then again....i know...Bethesda. The only other thing wrong with the scene that I don't want to tackle is when the imperial captain shifts/ or glides a little back and to the left just before she uses her foot to push that stormcloak into position to be beheaded. I swear I have a love hate relationship with this game.
  15. For the life of me. I don't understand why Bethesda didn't have the part of the scene fixed in the first place. The lines there when the dragon appears is so off timing and balance it makes me want to throw things at the screen.
  16. I will look for that in Creation Kit. I figured it was a scene with a particular sound file attached to it. I will look for it. Actually....you wouldn't know where to find that scene in CK would you?
  17. First thing I tried was something I found on Nexus. It's called Voice File Reference Tool. I used that to find the two files that are in Skyrim - Voices.bsa that I want to remove. I just want to remove them. I don't want to try to edit them in anyway. The two lines that I listed in the first post are the ones I am trying to remove. I was able to extract the bsa file but I when I compressed it back the file size was only 3.1 MB or something close to that. My voice bsa's actual file size in the game folder is 1,424,370 KB, which is roughly 1.4 GB if I'm not mistaken. I used BSopt or whatever it's called to compress the file but I read that you need to use the archive application that's in the game folder but I don't know how to use it.
  18. I do know what scripts are sorta. I know there is a script folder in the skyrim directory. Beyond that I have no idea. I'm a noob to the max. After spending 4 hours trying to figure this out I've become lost... and hungry lol. Need to take a break but I wanted to try and reach out for help. I basically want to remove those lines from being spoken and appearing in subtitles.
  19. Hello. I want to do a simple edit of the opening scene in Skyrim. What I want to do is remove two audio files from when Alduin makes his first appearance. It's when you are at the chopping block about to be decapitated. They are lines which are misplaced and the timing is off. These are the lines: "Sentries, what do you see?" "It's in the clouds." This is for original skyrim but I'd like to do it for special edition as well. I've spent several hours looking at creation kit tutorials and I still don't know what I am doing. I have saved an esp file for me to edit in creation kit but that's about it. I have no idea how to find the files to edit so they aren't played in the game. I know what the file is in BSopt or whatever it's called and I tried looking at tutorials to unpack the Voices BSA. delete those two files and then pack it again using archive.exe but I can't get it to work. There are so many tutorials and to many things pointing me in too many different directions. If someone can help me solve this I would be very greatful. I don't plan on modding the game further, and there is just too much information for me to go through to just learn how to do one simple thing. Again if you can help me with this I will be greatfull. I know there is an opening scene overhaul but I don't like it. I just want this simple fix.
