+1 for this idea. The ammo change bound to 2 seems so obtrusive. COrrup, do you mean use the mouse wheel for weapon select? Because I think that would solve a lot of problems, as well.

First off; hello. Long time nexus user, but this is my first request post. Curious to know how hard it would be to add some sort of "hardcore mode" bars to the HUD. Specifically, a FOD (hunger) and H2O (thirst) bar. Just enough to prevent the need to keep checking the Pip-Boy constantly to see how hungry/thirsty you are. In actuality, just a simple number in the corner of the screen for each would be enough. Thoughts? Thanks.
