  1. It appears to be related to the INI files, as deleting them all and regenerating them worked, but I lose my movement again if I use BethINI Pie to change anything.
  2. Same problem if I run it without SKSE, and I reset my configurations as well. I'll try recreating them from scratch.
  3. Okay, a bit more info; this isn't a controller issue, it's something Skyrim itself is doing, because WASD doesn't work either. I unhooked my controller and reverted to keyboard controls and I still can't move in third person. Also, my Y-axis in third person hardly moves at all, though X-axis is fine.
  4. Okay, this is an issue that seems to pop up every time I try to get a modded 1170 game working. Everything works except that I can't move in third person. The left stick doesn't do anything at all. It's not an old controlmap file; I've deleted them. It's not even a mod; I've turned everything off except the Unofficial Patches and Alternate Perspective. I reinstalled the whole game multiple times, and it seems to persist. I cleared out my Steam controller settings and made sure it's set to Gamepad. I have no idea what the problem is. I can use the Left Stick to move in first person and in the menus, but the second I switch to third person, nothing.

From what I've read, the heart of the Anniversary Edition is still SSE, and most of the "upgrades" are actually implemented the way the CC stuff was (finishing stuff was apparently one of the CC items they didn't release, and there's more). Of course, if they bump the version number of SSE up, that'll break mods until the Address Library is updated... I think this is going to be like the final version of Oblivion they released; everything in one bundle, whether you want it all or not. My question is: are they going to fix the CC content, or are they just going to release it as it is? Because the CC content seriously borks save games right now; it's why I stopped using it.

  8. Okay, I have no idea what's going on here. Randomly, the game will CTD out of nowhere, generally if I fast travel to a populated area. Every single log from NetScriptFramework looks like the attached file.   10. Yeah, I have some green diagnostic text on the bottom right of my screen, listing off initialtime, FPS and so on. I don't know what's causing it, so I don't know how to get rid of it. Anyone else have this problem?

  14. Okay, I'm going to be short and sweet. A few months ago, I put up this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26007 It works, but it's hard to follow. Would it be a site rule violation if I just uploaded the fixed mod? Or maybe even just the working mod files, still requiring the download of the original mod to get things working? I don't want to violate any rules, but I'm also getting somewhat sick of people leaving me "I can't figure this out" messages...
  15. I've noticed that since I finished my new load order, any quest that involves a brawl seems to be broken. For example, the quest with Mikael the Bard; I accept the brawl with him, I punch him out so he goes into the winded animation, and then I talk to him to continue the quest... And he says the first part of his after brawl dialogue, the dialogue gets cut off like I pressed the Cancel button, and then when I talk to him again, he acts like we didn't brawl and the game gives me the brawl option again. I wasn't able to fight Uthgerd to try and recruit her as a follower, because the same thing happened. And I realized it's a bug and not something else when I was doing the Forsworn Conspiracy and had to kill and rob the guard sent to rough me up in order to keep the quest going, because no matter how many times I beat him in a brawl, he kept insulting me and then initiating a new one, preventing the quest from moving on. Also, and I don't know if this is related or not, but I've also had situations where a dialogue tree just randomly ends, like I pressed the button to end it manually... Except I didn't. I haven't had this happen during a quest yet, but it does suck to be listening to a character giving story information and having it cut off partway through. And it's consistent; if it happens, it'll happen at the same point every time. I'll gladly post my mod list if it's necessary, but I don't use any unusual or "out-there" mods; it's basically the Nordic Skyrim list.

  17. I used xEdit to convert the version with the changes into a simple patch over the original ESM, but it still doesn't appear to be working right. Now the races show up, but the events don't seem to be starting and it's like the patch isn't even being loaded. I can't even find the quests in the console to run them manually. I switched on Papyrus, but there's nothing in the logs I can see to help figure this out, and I don't know where to go next.
  18. Okay, here's an odd one. I took a series of races that already existed (specifically, Bagserk's Berserk races), added the Proxy names and created the quests and the scripts to make them RaceCompatible... And now none of the races show up when I'm asked to select a race. Only the vanilla races show up. I 7zipped up what I have and uploaded it to my Dropbox: https://www.dropbox....k Races.7z?dl=0 . The "berserkraces_old.esm" is before I made any changes; it's just been saved in the Creation Kit so it's compatible with SSE. Can someone who's more familiar with this side of Skyrim modding let me know what I've done wrong? I'm sure I've done something wrong (well, that's kind of obvious; if I did this right, it would be working, and it's not), but I'm not sure what to do to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong.
  19. I managed to figure out what the problem was, and I'm going to post it here so that if anyone runs into this they know what to do and how to fix it. I use a utility called SteamTool to move some of my Steam games that require it from my 4 TB hard drive to my 512 GB SSD, for speed purposes; Skyrim Special Edition happens to be one of those games. If you're also doing this (or using hard links or symlinks to move game directories to other possible places), make sure that Mod Organizer is pointing to the main Steam folder (in my case, the one on the 4 TB hard drive), NOT the backup folder. If Mod Organizer is watching the backup folder and utilities run expecting to access the main Steam folder, then the USVFS won't work and you'll end up with the problem I did here.
  20. Okay, running a quick double-check through all of my utilities, Wrye Bash and SSEEdit are picking up the mods through MO2. LOOT, Mator Smash, Merge Plugins and SSELODGen are not, for some reason.
  21. Yep, description says it all. If I open Wyre Bash through MO2, I see all the installed mods. SSEEdit, same thing. But open LOOT... and I get the mods installed into the Data folder. I checked the logs for MO2, and I can see the filesystem hooks seem to be working correctly, but LOOT just doesn't seem to be listening. USVFS log:
  22. Yeah, the above basically covers it. I can't seem to use ENB (or ENBoost by itself), because when I run Skyrim with it, the game doesn't produce any sound at all. I can confirm that when the ENB is removed, the sound returns, so it's not a speaker problem.
  23. I figured out the problem. It was with my Padstarr configuration, which was causing it to shift me into and out of Vanity View when would click the right analog stick.
  24. Something strange that happened to me today; suddenly, if I switch into third person, my character won't change direction. He can walk in all four directions and I can swivel the camera, but no matter where the camera is facing, all four directions are based on what direction he was facing when I was in first person, and I can't change it without switching back to first person. Not sure what's going on here. My current mod list:
