  1. Alternatively we could name it The Nexus Link. It works on two levels. First link is a synonym for nexus. Secondly it connects or "links" the users, mods, and games to each other.
  2. Okay so what does NMM2 intend to do? Catalogue, sort and maintain mods for multiple games. So why not call it The Nexus Librarian. Or The Librarian. I mean sure it reeks of Magic the Gathering but throw it on a clothes line outside for a bit and it will air out.
  3. Oh wow I assumed that initial crush would be over by now. And if I'm perfectly honest I forgot about your post mentioning SE slamming the servers. So my bad. All apologies. Thank you for the response!
  4. So what going on this time? Pygmies? A staff member owes an elder god money? Attacked by internet clowns? âI understand Nexus has limited resources but this is becoming a consistant problem lately... Can we at least get a "Hey sorry"?
  5. So I'm gonna call this a win. Sure I'll have to reinstall all the FO4 mods I use but I've had to deal with worse.
  6. I found another mod based on GITS that has the same issue. Any ideas?
  7. Hello! I recently installed the GITS armor mod and ran into a curious bug. I've already contacted the mod author but they did not know how to fix the problem, thus I turn here in hopes of fixing the issue. On any version of the mod if the character controlled by the player is female they can modify any and all options of the armor. Color, lining, and so on. However, and this is the weird part, if the character controlled by the player is male they can not modify the armor. When a piece from the set is pulled up on the workbench no options are availible for modifcation. Steps I've taken so far: Uninstalled all mods then installed only GITS. Poked at it with FO4Edit I didn't see anything obviously wrong. Poked at it with Creation Kit still didn't see anything wrong. Started changing/adding/removing things in the CK. After about 4 hours of messing with this I have no idea what is wrong. I'd really appreciate some help with this! Thank you, Cavik
  8. I've never been more pleased to be a member of this site. This is great idea and I'm happy that you are both willing and in the position to do this.
  9. In response to post #11697765. #11697911 is also a reply to the same post. So current behavior, insofar as client updates are concerned, is unchanged? Edit: Just read the post again for giggles. Last night I had assumed client updates were clumped in with mod updates. I see now. Still the idea of a scheduling system seems like a happy medium even for mod updates.
  10. Can I suggest a compromise between checking for updates every time NMM is launched and having the user do it manually? Let NMM check for updates on a schedule. It can be any sort of schedule really, after x number of starts it looks for an update, on the 15th of every month it looks for an update, or even after 2 weeks it looks for an update. All other behavior should remain the same. Ask the user if they want an update and so on. I believe this is a better solution, assuming I understand the OP. Its a nice middle ground that benefits users, we are a forgetful bunch and may not think to log in and check for updates, and it helps elevate support troubles/costs by helping users keep up to date with the latest version of NMM. Thanks for all the hard work, NMM rocks!
