  1. @AnkhAscendant : By questgiver I mean someone who gives you a reward when destroying the thieves guild (and gives you the location where the thieves are hiding). The quest also starts automatically when killing Brynjolf, the same way as destroy the dark brotherhood starts by killing Astrid. Ingun Black-Briar is a good suggestion, does she have any dialogue lines involving the thieves guild? For the stones of Barenziah quest, I was thinking about creating a new NPC with vex's voice or a unique NPC with a new set of dialogue lines (need a voice actor to do this). @PaskaAnkka : The thieves guild would never end up in jail because Maven Black-Briar has their backs (unless they have a argument and the thieves are plotting to kill Maven, this won't change but I've been watching too much Breaking Bad :P , so what do I know). Besides killing them is more fun :laugh: . Unmid Snow-Shod is a good suggestion (but the problem with existing NPC's is that nobody except the original voice actor can create voice lines), but I don't know if she has dialogue lines that could be used to describe the mission + objective.
  2. @3ukalipto and all who have voted : thanks for your vote, but I need more people voting and commenting for this mod to become huge, so don't be afraid to reply and vote (this is what this forum is for). I also need voice actors (you will be credited when the mod's released ofcourse), new refreshing idea's/suggestions,... . I'm kind of desperate, I don't want to see this mod (which took a lot of effort and time on my part) disappearing between other mods/forums/threads/posts (like my other mods). I love to see this on the front page of skyrim nexus, but I need support of you guys to do this.

For question 1 of this poll, the answer will be chosen if it has more than 10 votes and represents more than 50% of the total votes. Question 2 only matters if "Create a new questgiver + questhandler for the No Stone Unturned quest before releasing this mod (need voice actors to do this)" is the most chosen answer (except ofcourse for Commander Maro).

I would like to do this but unfortunally the dialogue lines of Karliah are too restricted + the nightingales are a part of the thieves guild and Nocturnal is even the patron of the thieves guild. Karliah would never do something to displease Nocturnal by for example wiping out the thieves guild.
  5. Did a few bugfixes, I want to release this mod now but then I have to let the TGCrown (Crown of Barenziah) quest fail on the beginning of the Destroy the Thieves Guild quest. I can make an other actor who can start/finish the TGCrown quest and I can make an other questgiver (now it's still Commander Maro). But I'll let the Nexus community decide. You can cast your vote in the poll which I will set up in a few minutes. PS: A hundred posts, yeay :biggrin:

  7. I actually think that doesn't makes too much sense for her. If she destroyed the Thieves Guild she would still lose influence with the criminal scum of Skyrim, I think she'd still like to have them there so she can pull on their strings and have both the law and the lawless under her thumb. Also doing it that way makes it so that you can't destroy the thieves guild without going through the main quest. I have a level 50 character who is doing the main quest but hasn't gotten to that point. I don't want to wait that long to destroy them. I was thinking about having two questgivers, you will be able to destroy the thieves guild regardless of your progress in the Main Quest. But maybe you're right, she has a lot of influence in the thieves guild and she won't give this up so easily. An other suggestion, you will be given a letter form an anonymous person (maybe he will wear a Guy Fawkes mask :wink: ) who want to see the thieves guild gone. So you would be more of a bounty hunter then a quest slave :laugh: .
  8. I was thinking to make Maven Black-Briar the quest giver when she's a jarl (makes sense as she uses the tg to gain power and she doesn't need the tg no more if she's a jarl). What do you guys think?
  9. To be fair, you're not actually forced to join. During my first playthrough of Skyrim, I finished the MQ without ever joining the Thieves' Guild. Even though the quest markers direct you to join, you are told (by Delphine, I think) that Esbern is located in the tunnels beneath the Ratway, and nothing stops you from going down there without speaking to Brynjolf. That said, this is certainly a good idea. More freedom is never a bad thing, and helps to define your character. I'll likely download this when it becomes available. I always hated how Brynjolf sneaks up on you and tells me that I haven't done a day's work for all that gold i'm carrying, btw you can also ask Keerava for the location of Esbern.

  11. It bothered me that you can destroy the Dark Brotherhood but not the thieves guild. Well now I was so fed up with this that I've decided to make my own "Destroy the Thieves Guild" quest. I've made a lot of progress (Made Brynjolf non-essential and non-invulnerable, made the thieves guild members non-essential, added (not so great, you will never be able to do this without new voice acting) duplicated and edited guard dialogue lines when you've completed Destroy Thieves Guild quest, copied most of the stuff from the DBDestroy quest). But there are still a few things that needs to be done : - Make the Thieves guild members attack you on sight when you have killed Brynjolf. (I've tried anything but with no result) - Spare Galathil (she attacks you if you attack any of the thieves guild members, she is still essential but I've to disable her manually if I want to kill the others), as players may want to change their appearance after this quest. - Fail the No Stone Unturned quest or make a new actor which can start/finish this quest. What I may consider to add in the future : - A new questgiver (now it's still commander Maro). Need voice actors for this. (Mjoll as questgiver in the final version) - Any suggestions except for those that are listed in the list (may be updated) below. The following ideas will not be possible as they interfere with the normal gameplay of Skyrim (aka break lore): - Possibility for the player to kill Maven Black-Briar as she's needed for the main quest "Season Unending". (included in version 1.1) Ideas/suggestions and feedback are welcome. You can't make Maven Blackbriar non-essential because you will have no Jarl when finishing the main quest "Season Unending" where you have to negotiate the transfer of Riften against the transfer of Markarth. Do you mean wiping out the Thieves Guild will make you one step closer for becoming thane (let it count for the five people you will have to help)? I don't know if the Destroy the Dark Brotherhood quest does this. Edit : All members of the Thieves Guild in the cistern added except for Garthar and Ravyn Imyan (they won't show up before quest TG01). Now I need to find a way to add the player as enemy to the Thieves Guild faction. I've tried the following lines (with the correct filled in properties): ThievesGuildFaction.SetPlayerEnemy() ThievesGuildFaction.SetEnemy(PlayerFaction) Alias_(a thieves guild member)Alias.GetActorRef.AddtoFaction(TGAttackPlayerFaction) I've copied the DBAttackPlayerFaction and changed the name to TGAttackPlayerFaction. Ofcourse you will have to replace (a thieves guild member) in this line with eg. VexAlias, DirgeAlias,... . I even have tried to enable "track crime" in the TGAttackPlayerFaction with the AttackOnSight box checked but with no result.
  14. Nevermind I've found the pAstridScript. Now I need to deal with the Invulnerable Brynjolf and the non-hostile Thieves Guild members. Edit : Found a way to make Brynjolf non-essential and non-invulnerable, I now only have to fix the problem of the non-hostile Thieves Guild members. I will find a way to make the secret wardrobe accessible by the player when starting the "Destroy the Thieves Guild" quest so you can wipe out the thieves guild members in the cistern as well.
  15. Well, i'm working on a mod which introduces a quest similar to the Destroy the Dark Brotherhood but for the thieves guild. All is going well (if I use the console to start the quest) but there are a few things that I can't seem to fix: On the death of astrid the Destroy the Dark Brotherhood quest is started, but I can't find the line responsible for this (I've checked every DB02 quest, the actorbase of Astrid and ofcourse the DBDestroy quest itself but with no results). I've tried to let the quest start by using Event OnDeath, OnKill and even the condition GetDeadCount but they don't seem to work on Brynjolf (but it does work on other thieves guild members). Brynjolf doesn't seem to accept any changes to his invulnerability and essential state, I've copied the lines at the end of TG00 (pBrynjolf.SetInvulnerable(false)), unchecked the invulnerable and essential boxes in his actorbase but with no result. Ofcourse I've defined the necessary properties at the beginning/end of the script and filled the properties with the correct values. I've made a TGAttackPlayerFaction (duplicated the DBAttackPlayerFaction) with the player as enemy with the thieves guild members filled in the faction list (after a certain stage in the quest) but when reaching this stage the thieves guild members won't become hostile until I attack them. Fixed partially I need help with these minor issues. Future plans are : Create a individual actor (with maybe voice acting) as quest giver (now it's Commander Maro), include the thieves members in the cistern as well, add a random guard dialogue line after completing this quest similar to the one from the Dark Brotherhood. When finished I will release this mod on SkyrimNexus and those who've helped me will be included in the credits.
  16. I've tried the console command once but it seems no matter how many Aetherium Crest you have, the game only allows you to forge one item. If you have more than one Aetherium Crest the Aetherium forge wouldn't even display the items you could normally create. And after using the Aetherium forge (even if you managed to get another Aetherium Crest), you will get the same result. Maybe this could be solved by editing the script of the quest. A simpler way of doing this is to make a chest with all the items you can create in it or to make these items craftable at a normal forge.

  19. The creator of AEOR - Arrow and Explosive Ordnance Repository mod has a Striker Mini-crossbow and Stinger Mini-crossbow build in his mod but he hasn't any model with textures yet. I don't if this mod is legit but the creator has made some other mods (mostly retextures, such as the tom349 fist retexture) as well (so we know the creator is at least real). So he ask if anyone has a model laying around. This is where you come in, if your model and textures where to be combined with his scripting, we finally could have a crossbow mod. It would be cool if you could donate (in exchange of a mentioning in the mod's credits ofcourse) the crossbow model to him and he could do the importing (but someone else has to do the scripting part). I'm only suggesting, you could contact Palderon and ask if he could do something with your model.
  20. Love the model and the textures, it's lore-friendly. I would love to see this mod become reality, but I can't help you with that. I noticed that there is a crossbow mod "survivalist crossbow" on Fallout NV, and I was wondering if we could use the animations of this mod as it is based on the same animation engine Havok (I think, don't shoot me if I'm wrong :tongue: ). For importing i think you can ask the fella who made the Dwemer Rifle mod, because a gun in my opinion resembles a crossbow. The most difficult part is to write a script for adding the crossbow bolts to the skyrim engine (unless someone has figured out how to add a ammo system to Dwemer Rifle). Edit : Did you download the maya plugin for skyrim importing/exporting. It's only available for the latest version (maya 2012).
