there were 2 youtubers I followed for setting up an external SSD games / steam folder so I can update (confirm) when needed via my notebook (I have to use an internet cafe). Linus and Gopher's vids were the two guides I followed.The Mod Instal guide says you can install it into the steam folder on the external (found the vid called >Mod Organizer 1 - Installation and Setup< and then you use SKSE to launch skyrim. Its worked fine right up untill I deared to do a mods update manually. Seems to have lost its link to the SAVED folder and I need to find the Link Button to reunite it. I'm still slowly learning to use MO after changing from NMM. I like it more than NMM UPDATE: don't know if this is right but deleted the duplicate under the skyrim>skyrim folder as this didn't seem right and did a search for SAVES and found it under Skyrim>ModOrganizer>Defaults> and cut paste the saves I found on the C drive. Works so far, talk about a stab in the dark to fix it, touch wood. lol will update later if I don't forget

I have discovered "Mods" Folder is duplicated , 1 is under ..... steam apps > common > skyrim > skyrim > Mod Organizer > Mods > (list of 30 folders). Then the 2nd folder is under .....common > skyrim > Mod Organizer > (same 30 folders listed). Is this suppose to be like this or is something screwed up? Thanks fo any help. Ps I have one other problem , Mod Organiser can't find either when I RUN Skyrim via SKSE :(

I run Skyrim off an external SSD so I can fetch updates via my notebook. I have Mod Organiser and LOOT to look after things, I have been playing SR from my notebook OK and even managed to add a few mods (yes I'm a noob) Problem I discovered is my Saved Games are not on the SSD. I Plugged the SSD into my gaming PC (no internet connection) to find only the "New Game" option available. OK so I have found the saved games under "c:\users\<profile>\Documents\My Games\SkyRim" can someone tell me how to copy this to the SSD so I can run the last saved game from my external drive from either computer Thanks for any help

I am attempting to put Skyrim onto external SSD for speed amoungst other reasons, plus I am a noob at ModManager as well which isn't helping. AND FRIDAY it's the Weekend, Winter time here and Wraining anyway .... 1st attempt to run this game from an external drive but have not got past PLAY, OPTIONS, DATA FILES, TECH SUPPORT, EXIT screen. after Runing Skyrim thru <<Skyrim Launcher>> thru Mod Manager. Everything in Skyrim is weird but when I backed out of a cave in the "sneak" position and re-entered, I somehow slipped into the basement and found myself looking up at the cave floor at my followers and enemies, Was the ultimate sneak mode but I have not been able to reproduce the move.
