  1. Deleting my "Hud" file in the Interface-folder worked for me as well. Thank you.
  2. I guess it just feels good to be able to play Skyrim super-modded and have no troubles... God the headaches I went through because I love this game. I hope then next TES game or even the next Fallout is built with a better game system. I guess the next thing would be to actually make a Mod of my own =P but CK seems.... a little rough. Speaking of that I'm glad you came to this forum as I'm going to check out those guides on your sig.
  3. After years of modding, breaking my game and losing countless character saves, I have become one of "them" guys. I play skyrim with the max amount of plugins (255) An ENB (I switch from project/SS/K/RV), I have one character with 300+ hours, another with 94+ hours and another with 45+ hours... with a grand total of 8 CTDs (yes I log them when they happen for stability purposes). This isnt a brag thread, but its to show poeple that you can go nuts with Skyrim modding with everything you want and still have a super stable game... IDK how many people can also call themselves Mod-Wizards when it comes to skyrim... this is truly a skill well earned. If anyone has any questions regarding pretty much anything modding just let me know. Or share your modding experiences with Skyrim!
  4. I also had started a game as a Bandit... ALL bandits were friendly towards me as well. If its truley not supposed to be like this it may be a bug.
  5. Yes, what ripple said. Also: Open the console with the button behind 1 ("~") and type: player.modav dragonsouls X (X number of souls you want to add) and just give yourself the soul if need be.
  6. Are you using a lot of high-res 2k-4k textures? I have a pretty big mod list (150 active plugins) and would have a lot of CTDs and errors in general when I was using 2k-4k textures myself due to the 3.1GB VRAM limit. I used Optimizer Textures and resized them all (except the water textures) to 1k... and my Skyrim became very stable in both exterior and interior cells. Can't really even notice a difference unless you walk right up on the texture. But besides that my mod-list has been thoroughly checked for compatibility. Just a suggestion. also: Or you could just open the command menu with "~" and type in "showracemenu". But that wont help with your level though. Also: I've found that the best way to mod-test personally is to DL a clean save (after Helgen preferably) then do the following: start command line with "~" and type the following commands: -tgm = godmode (just incase) -tcl = toggle collision (can fly and go through walls) -player.setav speedmult 1500 (super fast speed while moving) Doing this will help you to run through cells around the map (inside and out) and test to see if you get any crashes and/or errors. You can also put this into the command line "coc xxlocationxx" For example: coc whiterun Will teleport you to Whiterun's location. Hope these help.
  7. Hmm... As far as the save game crash, unless its related to a missing/required mod then the only thing I can think of is maybe the save could be corrupt. And as far as gamebooster, I just recently built a monster gaming rig, the gamebooster just shuts down uneeded processes because skyrim can CTD simply just by programs switching variables and whatnot during gameplay (think anti-virus/spyware programs and updates for example), though I realize it may not help everyone... I certaintly don't have the save game CTD. I too had massive mod issues resulting in CTDs and it seemed hopeless really, but where theres a will theres a way... its just a matter of finding the way. And in a game as big as Skyrim the variables are massive as to what causes CTD for different people. But if your having save game issues with vanilla Skyrim then I'm really not too sure. Sorry I couldn't be of more help... all I know is what worked for me - fresh vanilla install of skyrim, all dlc install, hd texture pack, official/unofficial patches including hd texture patch --- then full S.T.E.P. install to the T --- then a few extra mods that are well known. I dunno if your familiar with STEP, but its a 3-6 hour process depending if you have the mods on your system already. That is all I could recommend. Good luck to you! If I come across some useful info I will share it ASAP.
  8. Hi! Make sure you are also cleaning your mods via TES5Edit, a tutorial can be found at http://www.creationkit.com/TES5Edit_Mod_Cleaning_Tutorial . I like using WyreBash along with BOSS for sorting my load-order making sure everything loads as it should. Also make sure you don't deactivate any mods while loading a save that you used it on... The save will be looking for the deactivated mod and things can get buggy. I have the latest S.T.E.P. installed with a few extra mods as well (around 90 mods), and my game would CTD very often, sometimes randomly... sometimes when entering a new cell or fast traveling. I HIGHLY recommend downloading and installing "Razor IOBIT Gamebooster", it basicly shuts down all uneeded processes so Skyrim can run smoother. Since I started using gamebooster, my game is very stable and only CTDs every once in a great while. Skyrim is just a buggy game, and I'v learned you gotta do everything you can to make sure it has the smoothest running atmosphere possible. I also didn't look at your mod list, I'm not sure which mods are incompatible or have alot of bugs but try and limit mods that use heavy scripts. I hope this helps!
  9. Yes I am using Fallout mod manager (FoMM), and I also make sure I click the validation tab =( im gonna try and mess with it.
  10. Hi, I have Fallout 3 GotY edition, and have several weapon-adding Mods ie; Alexscorpion's, Tactical WM, Built for the future etc.. and notice when I equip one of these "mod" weapons, the skin is strange, and it even shifts from one skin to a totally different one when i move, in other words im having texture problems. I also use FoMM and make sure to load them in correct order, im just not sure how to fix this. I'm wondering if its b/c I have FO3 GoTY or if its something else, any help is appreciated. -Oh, and all the skins on these different weapons have the same skin, lol.
  11. Ok, Im new to fallout 3 mods, but not fallout 3 (had it on xbox originally), and have come acrossed something strange with any type of weapon mod, ie: Alexscorpions, Tactical weapons mod, etc... The weapon skins look strange, and when in 3rd person view, the skin actually shifts as my movement shifts. I know how to properly install mods and am aware of the "load order" stuff, but am unsure how to fix this prob. Also, I am running Fallout 3 GotY, dont know if that has anyhting to do with it at all. I also run FOMM, and when I check the load order listings, it says that these type pf mods (see above) "dont exist in current load order" or somthing similar to that. Any help is appreciated. -TY
