  1. thanks for the replies. I have disabled a few. i think one of my problems was too many weapon mods with the LVL List injector quests, my most recent being DeadPoll2099's Assault Carbine. Great mod, wish I didnt have to disable it but the CTDs did stop after disabling it. after that, went through my mods and disabled ones I didnt need. Thankfully, with my experiences from FO3/FNV I got into the habit of saving every few minutes because of the occasional oddball crash.
  2. Been having alot of CTDs lately. like today, kept crashing every time I got near the random encounter near The Slog. Recently installed Deadlier Deathclaws prior to that, then disabled it and stopped crashing there. However I went into Saugus Ironworks and it kept crashing after a few seconds of entering the cell. Then just a few minutes ago, Sunshine Tidings was under attack, dealt with the attackers and it crashed again. I cannot figure out the reason behind this. I'm really hoping its not NAC or True Grass, I really like these mods and dont wanna give em up. My load order is below, if anyone can take a look and see a problem, that'd be great.   3. Ok, had a problem a couple days ago. I was doing the Nuclear Option (Minutemen) quest and at the point after I plant the fusion pulse charge, teleported back to the relay room and Sturges tells me to talk to the kid synth. I was not able to interact with the kid and when I tried to talk to Sturges he kept saying "you didnt even talk to the kid, you're not gonna leave him here, are you?". Now I know that conversation is supposed to have dialogue options but they never came up, Sturges kept going back to the terminal and I was never able to talk to the kid. I don't know what caused this problem, I even reloaded a save before entering the reactor room and it still did it. I did have Sturges assigned to the 'Northland Diggers' Wastleland Garage job (motorcycle) at the time, i dont know if that had anything to do with it. I ended up scrapping the whole thing and started a new game, wasn't happy with how I did things anyway. -This is my current load order if it'll help.   4. ok, I've been using Rebuilt Home Plate for a while. I started a new game a couple days ago, havent purchased home plate yet but decided to open CK and replace the floors. I replaced all the floors on ground level with vault floors 'vltfloor01'. here's the issue, I did material swap for the floors; overseer office (wood) for the smaller area (where the workshop station is) and the school for the larger area. the problem i'm having is the school part, i try to place objects down and they clip through the floor and are highlighted red but the other part, overseer swap works fine, I can place objects on those floors. I dont understand the problem, I didnt have this problem with the default Rebuilt floors and the floors i replaced were all the same floor piece so i'm not understanding the issue here. Can anyone help me understand this, please?
  5. Ok, had an issue the other day with my hotkeys; favorites keys as well as 'Q' (switch POV/Enter Workshop) stopped working for an unknown reason. Thankfully, I noticed they weren't working fairly quickly and was able to load an autosave (entering interior cell, Park Street Station), before the problem occurred and was able to prevent it from happening, although I'm not sure exactly how it happened in the first place. I had just recruited Cait from the Combat Zone. I should note that I NEVER travel with companions, I've always been better by myself so I usually don't bother with them other than telling them to chill at a settlement, like Cait for example. But, this time I figured 'what the hell, she can tag along while I go rescue Valentine from the Vault.' We go into Park Street Station, (hotkeys still working to that point), we go down the stairs to where the first group of Triggermen are, shoot em up and then I'm scrounging around for loot and scrap, Cait's yapping about stupid crap and then after a couple minutes I notice my hotkeys/favorites keys stopped working before we headed to the next area. Anyway, just giving the circumstances of what happened, like I said before, I was able to load the autosave from entering the cell and the hotkeys didn't disable again but I'm not sure how it happened, I couldn't even switch between POVs, although I could still open containers and open doors but was unable to use favorites keys or the switch POV key. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is there a solution in case it happens again?
  6. this worked perfectly, saved me alot of time. now my guard settlers are properly equipped: full combat armor and Morita rifles, Marine armor for castle guards. but like SMB92 said, it makes ya feel a little guilty that its free, but anytime i've done things like this i just deduct the caps value from inventory to try and balance it out. thanks again for this
  7. yea, i wasnt quite sure how it would work either. and honestly, since i'd be getting the duplicate not costing resources or caps it wouldnt be the same. what would be great is a mod that adds a certain hotkey command to the weapon/armor workbench that allows you pick an object, copy mods to same types and show you a total for how much resources used and then execute. or atleast like a container that duplicates them for a caps fee, or something

  9. ok, one of my pet peeves for FO4 is when I want to outfit my guard settlers with weapons and armor I like to equip them right; good armor, decent weapons. however, when I want to do alot of the same weapons or armor with the same modifications, it takes a long damn time, and gets real tedious and time consuming. what I'm wondering is, is there a way to take a modded weapon or armor and copy/paste those modifications to another weapon/armor of the same type?
  10. ok, i finally got around to taking a screenshot of the issue i have, everytime i catch fire, i was fighting the forged when i took it, it flares up in front of me and cant see anything, even with the asbestos armor lining. anyone else have this problem?
  11. is there a mod available similar to Fallout 4's 'Settlement Garage Sale' or Skyrim's 'Bag of Trash'? pick up a lot of junk sometimes, be nice to have something like Garage Sale; drop it into a container, come back and collect your caps.. or septims. anyway, be nice to have something like that

  13. I dont think I ever saw anything for the original Skyrim, but one thing that always bugged me about Hearthfire is having to repeat the dialogue at the lumber mills for only 20 sawn logs. its annoying I wish we had extra dialogue options to purchase more per click
  14. Which is probably the reason why it's load order never affected me negatively. Building mods should be pretty high on the list. Ideally right beloiw the DLCs. the only settlement affecting mods I have are the Rebuilt series, so hopefully it wont affect it too much

  17. I would be extremely careful with Red Rocket as well as Sanctuary. Both locations have initial quests tied to them and many mod attempts at restoring Sanctuary messed up the Codsworth quest right at the start. At Red Rocket, as you already said, Dogmeat might be an issue. I would also say, if you want to do it entirely for yourself, rather start as normal, but use Scrap Everything, which also gives you the advantage of storing the debris as building materials which you will need sooner rather than later. does Scrap Everything scrap the gas station too? I've been using Spring Cleaning (which hasnt been updated since january) doesn't scrap the gas station, thats the main thing I want to get rid of
  18. ok, considering starting a new game but before I do I'm thinking of using the CK of clearing Red Rocket (Sanctuary) of everything; debris, trash, unnecessary stuff, but mainly the gas station itself. I know, it wont be 'Red Rocket' anymore after doing so but the reason I want to do that is because I want a settlement for myself but close enough to Sanctuary and want to be able to build a player home/retreat just for me, kinda like Skyrim Hearthfire houses, with maybe just a few settlers, like a housecarl almost. Anyway, the point of this topic is I'm asking if anyone has done this but had issues with it, mainly with meeting dogmeat/molerats, any quest problems or other issues. Just want to know before I get into it... Thank you in advance for feedback Edit: To be on the safe side, if I do make this mod, I'm probably gonna keep it inactive until after I meet dogmeat to avoid any issues like that
  19. I have been thinking of purchasing Nuka World and/or Vault-Tec DLCs and was wondering if there's anything I should know like serious bugs/issues with either one of them before I get them.   20. damn, i didnt even notice that... i've been building from the SKE menu so hopefully disabling the extras wont cause issues. i dont know if this is the cause of the problem but atleast it help somewhere. thanks for pointing that out :thumbsup:
  21. I've been getting a lot CTDs for a while, been really irritating. Happens mostly outside/exterior cells and when leaving an interior cell to go outside it just crashes for no apparent reason. For a while I thought it might be the Vivid Weathers mod but then I ran the game with it completely uninstalled and it still happened. It'd be nice if there was a crash analyzer program or something but from what I heard a while back its not possible because its too complicated.   22. yea, this seems to be a new problem to me too and cant see a damn thing and I had the asbestos lining in my armor too. i recently uninstalled Automatron (waste of a DLC IMO and got irritated w/ robot attacks and rust devils popping up everywhere), so I dont know if that had anything to do with it Doubt it, I don't recall this being a problem before, and I've had Automatron active since the release. Sorry you didn't like it.......actually probably my favorite, if just for the fun of building wacky looking robots and turning Cogsworth into death on wheels. haha, i did enjoy the robot building aspect, turned Codsworth into like one of the HK's from Terminator. i've just done a few playthroughs and the quest itself got old after a couple times. but in any case, i didnt think Automatron was the cause, but atleast I can rule it out
