  1. Thought just crossed my mind of how sweet its gonna be when CK comes out and someone makes a wave survival mod. All the mechanics the game needs are already there. Build your own base from the preset locations, or possible use included new modded settlement locations. Random attacks that could probably be scripted to one big attack each day. You, your defenses, and your settlers fight for survival. In the off time, you scavenge the surrounding area for medical and building supplies. Hordes of super mutants, or deathclaws, or ghouls, or raiders, or gunners, or behemoths, or everything at once. Boss waves with legendary enemies that give special loot (they already do, but something more suited for this). Hell, maybe the grand finale boss could be Liberty Prime. Tis gonna be sweet ya'll.
  2. What the title says. I've made a mod for myself that has absolutely lethal radiation storms that never end if you don't have the proper protection. Gas masks and hazmat suits have had a ginormous buff to rad resistance (otherwise you'd die in seconds), but it kinda sucks that you can't replace filters or have them break. These mechanics would be fun because then you'd have to keep looking for new gas masks instead of using the same one the whole game.
  3. I second this. At least in Fallout 3 if you moved your character in circles the item would rotate horizontally. And then to get the vertical angle you wanted you just had to hold it by what side would logically be the heaviest...or....for items that weren't like that...just find the center of gravity for it. In Fallout 4, it doesn't matter where you grab it, the item stays still, and you move around the item instead of it moving around you. Sucks.
  4. I'm making an .esp file to make caps into military grade rounds like from Metro 2033. Everything works great except for one problem... The bottlecaps (military grade rounds) use the 308 bullet model I pointed it to, but it also uses the model of a box of ammo. Can someone suggest to me how to get it to only use the bullet model and not the box? What I'm saying is that using something like "player.placeatme f", it spawns both a box and a bullet...but they're both counted as the same item. If I pick up the bullet, the box disappears. If I pick up the box, the bullet disappears. Image included.
  5. I'm trying to add a "gas mask filter" item for a mod that functions like radaway. I think the Buffout bottle has a good model for a gas mask filter. My question is, when in FO4Edit and I create a whole new entry for the gas mask filter, I was going to point the model direction to the already-existing buffout.nif. Doing this though, how to use the new textures for the gas mask filter item, instead of replace the texture of the Buffout bottle?
  6. I just started my first mod not even 2 hours ago. I edited the radiation resistance of gas masks to 4000. This is to make it cooperate will with the weather always set to rad storms that do 100 damage per strike. I'd like to know how to make items destructible though, or if that won't be possible till GECK. I was going to use this feature as a way to "replace filters", or to make it interesting so that you have to keep a stock of gas masks instead of justusing the same one the whole game. I was hoping to find a health point attribute to the power armor pieces in FO4Edit which I would copy over to the gas masks, but there seems to be no such thing. There is a small section with "destructible" but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone know a thing or two?
  7. I agree. And the postman hat? Please, that's obviously a police officer's cap. Silly Bethesda.
  8. Would it be possible to make the weather set to always be a rad storm, and that all npcs spawned with equipped gas masks? Also to boost rad resistance of gas masks since they don't do much. Could be a good balance since they're not too hard to find, but wouldn't be op like power armor of course. I'm just doing an in-depth exploration of the glowing sea for the first time, and I'm loving stumbling upon half-standing buildings that you can enter to escape the ferocious storm outside. I thought it would be awesome if the whole game world was like that...but you'd need the gas masks when outside or you'd always be dying of radiation.
  9. I didn't change my password for this site because there is nothing of value, but I did change my password for my email account and other sites that have my debit card info, also Facebook. Thanks to you, I discovered that I haven't changed some passwords in over 2 years! Definitely gave them an update and upgrade.
  10. Just a request if anyone could make the institute packaged food to look like an MRE container. Edit: First post to Nexus forums. Just read the rules. Apologies for the "one liner", but I don't really know how else to make a request for this.
