  1. I was trying to make some black retextures of armors. I can make the textures in gimp, no problem. However, as soon as I save them and then check out the result, the dark areas will have horrible purple squares in them. Apart from not compressing them, what can I do to prevent this from happening? I've tried patching the squares by hand, but upon saving, they seem to come back with a vengeance, having brought their friends as well, making matters only worse. I'm using gimp with DDS plugin btw. Maybe another tool will get better results?
  2. Pretty sure I'm missing a bashed patch there. You'll need Wrye Bash to get All Natural to work. And probably get a lot of your other mods running better in the process. Make sure you read the readme of All Natural and follow the install instructions carefully. Right now, the indoor weather plugin is being loaded and missing masters which will surely cause CTD's during startup. Instead it needs to be imported into the bashed patch and it will ignore those missing files and only use what you have.
  3. I have a similar issue, where after I removed Castle Wolfspike, there is now a huge and unseemly peak of LOD terrain sticking up right through the normal terrain. I've removed all files from the mod, run lodgen multiple times, even removed those cells from my LOD folder and then regenerated them, but to no avail. The ugly peak won't go away. I'm wondering if it was a bug that was always there but I never noticed until after I removed that castle. Anyone know of any other tools to try?
  4. For lighting and weather, I'd go with All Natural. It's a bit difficult to get working if you don't know bash yet, but it's the mod that got me to use bash, and now I don't know how I kept my game running without ;) All natural adds lots of weather diversity and makes indoor lighting dependant on the time of day. You can see and hear what weather it is while inside. If your system can handle it, RAEVWD will give you some great distant views. AWLS adds a lot of atmosphere to the world by lighting up windows at night and adding smoking chimneys. For levelling, I use realistic levelling, which completely removes all the hassle with using particular skills to get the right attribute bonuses. Instead, attributes progress along with your skills, leaving you free to use skills as needed and not worry about wasting levelup multipliers. It's all up to personal taste though. For races, I use COBL races, and the recent upgrade that adds eyelashes to COBL races. I also have COBL races TNR (Tamriel NPC's Revamped) mixed with some beautiful women / handsome gents which means both more diversity in hair and eye styles and prettier NPC's. Hope those suggestions are of use.
  5. This one? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34105
  6. Something like a hot files box that gives recommendations based off your download history? Download lots of skimpy outfits and that's what it'll recommend. If you're into quests or real estate, it'll show more of that. Might be nice, even though you can probably do the same for yourself with a little search. Anyway, whatever your request or suggestion is, staying polite about it is usually the more effective approach.
  7. I just got the same thing from Kaspersky. Not sure if it means there's an active threat or just a reported bad URL but the URL is the exact same as in your pic.
  8. I say sue whoever provides the ads. It's their fault for not checking their content, I assume you have no control over what specific ads show up. Let them sort it out with whoever gave them the malicious ad. I believe it's their job to check the ads before adding them to their list. That includes malware as well as bad flash video that eats up lots of processor time even on new systems, or ads that make loads of noise without warning. One of those nearly gave me a heart attack the other day because it was way louder than anything I had running. They should put some care into their product.
