Normaly it should work with AM2+, or let me say in other words;
i've never heard till now that it doesn't work on a AM2+ motherboard.
My current system is MSI DKA 790GX-Platinum(MS 7550) with DDR2-1066, and it runs fine.
But it's right - bios upgrade has to be done otherwise the CPU runs with 800MHz instead of 3400MHz and it's the same with RAM.
The maximum of 1066 is only possible if the mainboard, recognizes 965 correctly and as AM3-CPU, otherwise you'll have DDR2-800

For those who are so vehemently for the software-industry - i don't care about such things;
ethically too unimportant and useless to think about.
I've got 2 Windows7 Pro(32bit&64bit) and i've paid 140€ for each, but even if i knew that my neighbour uses illegal software - i won't call their hotline.
The red line to cross to betray someone lies for me beyond the crime-potential of software-piracy it's simply not enough.
-
I understand your intention to this request, but either way it is very questionable if members denounce other members. My point of view is that the issue 'piracy' should be left only in the task pane of the staff.
-
i don't think so cause - members with 0 Kudos have some of the dots too.
i think it's the thing with posting : more posting = more dots ;)

tz tz ;). i better go now. wish you a good night
-
that's not really important - ram-settings will increase performance only slightly
but could make your system instable or worse case - you've to reset your bios
-
as always in computer-things - normaly it should work.
after you've install the driver, then you have to restart your computer of course.
in case you've already installed the driver from the disc and several times later you want to install newer driver then just do it.
a restart is necessary
-
the drivers are on the disc (included with your card)
if you need newer one, then just go to the homepage of ATI and download the latest driver
-
hm k - vista is not really my cup of tea - but however
i think it will boot till you see the desktop and then, it will ask you for the driver - just install your vista-driver and it should work.
your power supply could be strong enough. 400w are "recommend"
-
are you using windows-xp or windows7 ?
-
i hope i've understood right.
if you know the thing with F2 then it's ok :)
-
normaly it should - but if not you have to enter the bios.
if you start your computer you have to press F1 or F2 or DEL (depends on your Bios)
there you can change the settings - but careful - it's better to change the things i've told you.
changing ram-setting or cpu-settings could make your pc freeze or something like that
-
don't worry - it's not an important thing.
normaly it works without changing the bios-settings.
just install your card and it should run fine - the only difference is that booting takes a little bit longer - (some seconds more)
-
you're welcome :).cu
i've forgotten to say : you maybe have to change your bios-setting. your current system starts with the internal graphics-card.
if you install the new one then you'll perhaps have to change the pci-express card to be the first video-device (this prevent the
bios to look first for the internal-card and then to look for your new card- this will decrease the time for booting).
my suggestion is (if bios doesn't change the settings automatically)
1. change pci-express to 1 video-device
2. diable internal graphics-card
So, i think that was it :).bye
-
nothing else.
so. i hope it was helpful for you.
i've never written so much a day ;)
-
no - only if you want to play games in higher resolution and better quality
my 4670 has two dvi-interfaces - you may need an adapter (don't know the english word sorry)
don't worry - it won't cost much and if i think right... the adapter is included (with your graphics-card)
-
as i've said - best way is (at least) to buy the graphics-card as new-ware
if you buy 2'nd hand maybe the previous owner had overclocked the graphics-card and that could damaged the hardware
-
it's the same gpu but maybe another speed-set or something like that
look at "http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/" - perhaps you'll find there answers
-
i'll think about :)
but not for the near future
-
i've never tried oblivion - my abilities in modding are equals zero ;).
-
sure - as i was younger, i've learned this stuff myself too. good luck! :)
-
hm i don't have a better idea i'm sorry
