  1. Hey there. I'm currently experiencing the same issue on my end, and genuinely have no idea what is causing it. It's jarring as all hell, but I have found some things that appear related to this occurring. For one, it only happens with the weather preset: "Clearest". You can change the weather of the world by the console command "fw [enter series of numbers and letters]" EX: "fw 001D670E" for the Clearest weather setting which will cause the flickering. Inversely, if you set your weather to only the "clear" setting, which is "fw 0002B52A" the flickering will disappear. This seems to me like the mesh/texture of that weather preset itself is broken or corrupted somehow.
  2. Because you're wanting a laptop, there's quite a few limitations, but it's not hopeless! Sad thing about laptops is that there's minimal customization, plus you can't really buy all the parts and put it together yourself which saves you some big cash moneys. I personally haven't really dealt with laptops for gaming that much, so I can only give you some minor advice on what to grab based on specs and past experiences. Because you're modding, (and i don't know to what extent/how much you will mod your game) I'd say your pick for a laptop is pretty solid so far. You might have to sacrifice some graphic quality, or frames for some of the games you'll want to run though. I did find this lil' beauty: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Tracer-15_200_Gaming_Laptop That laptop i posted seems very fair in what it can handle, and it's price. It has a card that can run a lil' bit more than your current pick, and has a very nice amount of space. Sorry if the extra $35.00 is a little inconvenient, but i figured it was a really nice buy for the price.
  3. Hello Everyone! I'm very VERY new to modding Skyrim, but not new to modding as whole. I recently decided that it'd be incredibly fun to start putting out mods for such a Dynamic game that focus on the aspect of immersion. So, I thought to myself, "Time control is pretty sweet, no?" and thus here I am attempting to make a mod that lets you slow down time. Basically, this is what i'm attempting to do: 1. cast spell, slow time, add screen effect. 2. recast to resume normal time, remove screen effect. That's literally it lol, anyone have any ideas? Any help would be immensely appreciated, and i'd really love to continue working into modding. The effect isn't remaining on though, because it doesn't understand the toggle function. Anyone have a work around?
  4. The Mod author mentions that after installation, it is best to start up Skyrim via the actual launcher (through steam or the TESV.exe in "data" folders.) This is simply to let the mod process into the game before use, and to compile all its folders and options. Once all is loaded, and your mods are processed, you can exit the game launcher and then start the game up through SKSE. Let me know if this works for you, because it did for me.
