  1. Couple words from a long time lurker who stayed far out of the heat. This is a small win among a world of gaming rife with betrayal and the "it's just business" aspect. I'd celebrate for now but the future is uncertain with both Valve and Bethesda's true business aspirations out and about. They demonstrated how easily they can take a huge fan-base community of modder's and players who were once self sustaining and happily coexisting and turn them against each other like wild animals. If anything this was a fire drill that went totally wrong and the collateral damage will take a while to repair. My personal feelings is Nexus should request a full on apology for the waves of damage and the witch hunting this caused the community. At the same time the community has to reflect on their actions toward each other in the uncertain moment and move forward to tighten the bonds that held us together in the first place.
  2. The rules have always been fair and continue to be fair, you cant please everyone and you shouldn't have to, keep up the great work Moderators. :)
  3. This is awesome, I played the hell out of mount and blade: warband and only got to conquer 60% of the map, the AI map wise can be dumb as hell and unhelpful so I end up doing most of the work myself before getting tired and moving onto another game, definitely looking into this!
  4. Just figured this one would probably get picked up by someone, she looked damn good in the movie in it so yeah, if someone is up to the challenge knock yourself out. http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/20900000/Your-Highness-Photo-natalie-portman-20980287-500-750.jpg http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/20100000/Your-Highness-natalie-portman-20152202-1024-683.jpg
  5. instead of having the characters hands outstretched looking like they are gonna go #2 while crouched(unarmed) someone should make an animation to have them kneel (or take a knee and palm the ground) when not moving and weapons away. gives them more of a prowling look, like they are observing the situation before drawing their weapon.
  6. It randomly came to me that each Jarl has a pretty awesome long hall, what they don't have is a court fool, dancing and being annoying, maybe getting drunk on mead, putting on some kind of performance, Having one in each Long Hall would be pretty sick, even better is if each had re textured Cicero's armor in the colors of their city. I don't know, it just sounded like a pretty cool idea, drop your ideas on it if you like and maybe someone wants to undertake it :D
  7. on two hand weapons it may be because the lower hand is not attached to the sword like the upper hands grip, but when I look closely it seems as if the lower hand is not gripping the hilt of the sword correctly and is shaking or floating around it instead, very noticeable for me especially on weapons with shorter grips, has anyone else noticed this?
  8. There were a few oblivion versions that may be ported eventually for the elven armors I think the Easterling's armor would look legit as a new breakthrough mod http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Easterlings Also the Goblin's with their Sick Trap helmets http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Goblins
  9. This was a very popular mod in Oblivion especially Golden Tyrael armor, it will eventually be ported like all the others that were Oblivion successful you may just have to wait though.
  10. I have nowhere near the skill nor the time to make it myself but the Falmer armor, specifically the Boots are lacking on npc's since they suffer from ugly feet textures(unless body mods are incorporated). But in vanilla it seems a bit ridiculous for npc's to have no boot or shoe or chitin sole on the Falmer boots, something as simple as jury rigged leather sandals would look better then bare feet. Also it would seem ridiculous for npc's to run barefoot anywhere in Skyrim or under it for that matter, it is sensible for tribal like, blind Falmer, but not for adventurers. Also the waist armor looks somewhat like a diaper just saying XD, if a determined blacksmith went out of their way to build some Falmer armor they would come up with something better as a heavy armor, something with a more parallel protective look, just as organic and alien but more worked on respected and fearsome like Daedric or Dragonbone. As crude as the armor is supposed to look it is quite vanilla neglected and deserves better for npc's and hopefully there is someone out there who agrees and may take the task underhand, if not then thanks for letting me vent on horrible vanilla textures.
  11. I just happened to notice the Skyrim Steam workshop I have not looked far into it and have no idea how long it has been active, but through this do you think the Nexus community will suffer traffic to Skyrim Nexus or will it benefit from modding becoming more used? Also it claims that fraud and dirty or offensive mods will not be hosted, will real authors have to contact steam to have a falsely posted mod removed? I just am not sure if Steam thought their workshop through as much as Nexus is worked on, If someone has mods active on it currently they may be the best person to answer these questions. thanks -Jamez
  12. I hope they take a roman look to the armor but not heavily, I liked the Imperial armor after I downloaded the WAC overhaul, had a shoulder strap for the sword and some versions looked slightly damaged, as if they had seen their share of battle. Waalx also made imperial weaponry which were awesome looking and fit right into the game. I don't want to see them running around in roman tunics or sandals or looking like Caesars legion in fallout NV. I hope they looked at Waalx's overhaul when making armor and weapons because his fit so well in I couldn't believe it was not thought of by them. As to their presence in Skyrim, I hope either they are mostly unwelcome and disliked but a small presence, maybe at some point after a main quest you witness townspeople attacking them in mobs ending their minor presence in towns (like mythic dawn supporters in Oblivion). Legion deserters making money as bandits and marauders, or even as mercenaries and sellswords. If they aren't present, there better be armor thrown in Skyrim somewhere as a reminder, although some may hate it haha. I at least expect to have a side quest from some guy living the honest life and after completion, him giving you an old suit of Blades or Imperial Watch armor from family generations ago, that would be pretty sick.
