  1. Sounds very good, but programming unique quests to no less then five clans... this is going to take months, isn't it?
  2. Have you tested it with a normally created char? There might be something hardcoded which only applies to that... let's call him "standard coc charakter", which is not applied to a normally created char.
  3. I like the idea of replacing the food that is lying around everywhere by "old" versions. I mean, food in an Ancient Nord dungeon, lying there for days, weeks, years or whatever... no cheese should "survive" that (animals should come and eat it in less than one day in reality). Could you even make food to spoil (I'm not sure if it's the correct english word for it) when it's in you inventory for too long? Oh, and caravans walking arround Skyrim to transport food which get attacked by bandits and in a few cases dragons! That would add much realism.

  5. Well it's not a bug I think. Daggers are more for stealthy (marksman) charakters, not for big warriors, so they benefit from Marksman. Looks ok to me (Not saying a mod to change this is bad, because optionals are never bad.)
  6. @Mansh00ter: You should have a sig or an avatar with a reference to this big mod prject so that everyone sees at first glance that it's you, the mod author who has posted something.

  8. Could you please make normal melee attacks make the hit person stumble? This way it's no more button mashing but you would have to step away from enemys, block even normal blows effectivly and so on.

  11. A spell able to do that would be really hard to do, maybe impossible (as far as I know). But some kind of patcher writen in Java (saw that with a customizable light-mod) to change some values would be great. To make damage depend on lightlevel is not a good as long as you can not only take the sun's light into account. Getting damaged by bright magic or other bright lights would not kill the player, but the atmosphere. IF there is a way to make only the lightlevel of the sun count, this would be the best way offcourse, but as far as I know it's not possible in the engine (Correct me if I'm wrong, you know much better than I). "you get a visible indicator something is wrong, by being on fire for a few moments, and then your health meter is dropping." Do I get it right that you burn? This would be very lore-unfriendly. Seeing something burn brightly, stepping into the shadow and stop burning without having any wounds... Would you talk to him normally or flee from him?

  13. Sounds great with the stealth check every second and the possibility to have an army. Somewhere else here I read about the idea to be able to drink from sumbling enemies in fight. So we could drink from sleeping, "pickpocket" blood when out of fight and be able to drink from stumbling enemies in fight. That would be great because: Many possibilities + more "realism" = more fun. I would like much more damage out in the sun, a vampire should not see the sun anymore (when lvl 1 maybe you can survive dawn and sunset a few secounds but after 2-5 seconds *pew* a pile of ashes.) To make it possible to get new quests, could you make the NPC sleeping time shorter so that they stay outside where they give you quests for the first 1-2 houres of night? As far as I know you would not need to change every single npc but "simply" change the default templates they use.

  15. This sounds verry great and the best is: It's not only ideas but you have allready realized some of the ideas. I thought about making a Vampire Mod myself but I am new to modding so I would need months or years to do something as good as your mod will be. When you release your final mod (or parts of it for us to play-test), could you please describe a few things (not only what you have done but in a very short way how you have done it)? This way everyone could modify little things (more time slow on bow zoom, a different speed mult. or whatever) themselves and don't bother you with "Could you please make a version with x and y?" But to the mod itself: I think that drinking blood infight is very important, because only drinking from sleeping people feels kind of... old (like in the very old Dracula movies). And your idea to make "detect life" turn on when hungry is great and much better then a hungry-bar over the health bar or wherever. It's more realistic to feel the hunger (detect life turns of if you want it or not) instead of just seeing a bar that fills up.
  16. Thanks for even uploading the source files. I read in forums that many people tried this and didn't succeed, you finally did! ^^ But where to find you vampire mod? In the Nexus when I look for you mod there are 6, but non of them is a vampire mod.
  17. I think something like that can be done, but it definately takes some time to do this (may be the reason there is nothing like this until now), especially if you want it to be a butten ingame, not a bat file or whatever.
  18. Hello, I'm just working myself through Bethesda's modding tutorials and wondering how I could translate the names of the for example newly created NPCs into German. Of course, I could just use German names in the editor, but I want to do it the "clean" way: Everything in english and translate it so that just people using Skyrim in German will see the German version and no English user is wondering what strange names I used. Later, if I do some better mods, and I want to upload, it would be strange to upload German things. So I search for a way to do it in English and translate it just for myself (and every German user who wants to get the translation too). How could I do that? So it's not only about translating NPCs of course but about Items, Perks and everything.
  19. But you have to preview the things one after another, right? So it's not really different from dragging it into the render window and delete it if you don't like it. An image gallery with everything would be nice. On one image there should be all pieces of a certain category like there is in the tutorial for the CK.
  20. @ sirxazor: Same problem for me with archive.exe. I heared about problem with FO3Archive when used with Skyrim, so I tried BSAOpt and it's very good. So if you run into problems with your programm give it a try. @ David Brasher: BSAOpt ist a good and easy to use programm and a this is a good tutorial. Thank you very much!
  21. I use Skyrim on German too. Clicking "Cancel" on loadup is the best solution for me. Sometimes CK crashes on loadup and you have to terminate the process, start the CK again but then it works... most times. So don't change your ini as described, just use "cancel" once and all error messages are gone.
  22. Thanks for your answer, but I can't get it to work properly. So I start the programm, File->Open->HighResTexturePack01.bsa Then I use "check all items" and click textures and then I click "Export selected". But nothing happens. And when I try "Save as" the programm stops working. What am I doing wrong?
  23. Hello, I want to unpack the official HD textures to use them as the base and some community mods to overwrite parts of them. So I need to unpack the official textures. How can I do that?

I want to use the official HD package as the new base and overwrite it with the Skyrim HD 2K's texture pack (not everything will be overwriten so Skyrim should look nicer than with only vanilla+2K pack). But if I just install the 2K package and load the official texture pack's esp/bsa, the 2K pack will be overwriten as far as I know. How can I unpack the official bsa and use it as a normal texture mod like 2K's? I use many texture mods, so packing the 2K pack into a esp would not solve the problem and would be a pain in the *** because of the updates of the modder's texture packs.
  25. Thanks for your Replys. I'm so dumb, forgot about normal map and so on and thought only about the "picture file" of the texture.
