i love the site, makes the series so much more interesting when I have things like Tundra Defense. I dont know how to make a site and for you to put together one so accessible and visually appealing is pretty rad. However, if I may be so bold. I wish you could do I small article on MERP. PLease. The guys theyre said you all knew eachother, if so, dont let theyre baby be eaten by wolves. Sick hyperbole but in a sense true. They spent over 5 years making a dope mod for us to use, and they are gettin shut down. You know what, I never thought of it like this. Nintendo, tho not my favorite company, has been the only corporation loyal to there fans. When I was a little guy, I remember playing Zelda:The Orcarina of Time, which was the best game I have ever at the time. I think the way they produce games, which are still true to the lore, game play and story telling type of the Zelda franchise. Thats the kinda thing I wish Bethesda would have done. You dont see Nintendo totally changing the setup of there games, even after the 11 years since Zelad came to N64, that was so long ago. I mean, there still pumping out Mario, and the fans love it. I prefer a more in depth game, where you do get emotionally involved with the characters. Like Morrowind, when Vivec reveals that he did have a part to play in the death of Nerevar, I was shocked to say the least, than when he gives you the option to kill him, thats the type of choices would like to have seen in Oblivion. I think, that if somebody has the courage to take this to Todd Howard, (I REALLY want to myself, but dont know how to) I think taht the next installment of ES will be the best yet. But to discuss the topic of where things are going, we can never know. However we can make an educated guess. Judging by the previous progress in the gaming industries, I think the console will dominate for a couple more years here, than I am positive the PC will make a comeback. After the smoke clears from the console wars, the people will see how the price for a geforce 8800 has gone down, ( in years to come) And I mean, how much better can graphics get, really? I mean, we've reached almost photo realism. I dont want that, I want a real lookin game, but not one where I Sh*t my pants its so real. So I think when ps4 or the xbox 1080 come out, Im gonna say, screw it, I have a powerful computer, (for my generation, call me a future oldschool) And I'll love it, theres so much more a pc can do for you. Im probably totally off, I know I am, but thats what I'll probably do, I'll have my geforce 8800gtx, a duo processor, 3 gigs a ram, 200 gig hard drive, and be happy with my specs, and enjoy the freedom of pc games. Sure, I'll buy a new console down the road, but the more things change, the more they stay the same you know. J=This is just like when the N64 came out and shocked everyone. Well here we go again is all I can say. My kids when I'm old are gonna laugh at my generations consoles, as I did to pong. All we can do, Is strap in, and enjoy the ride guys. As for as where is the ES gonna go. I think if there next game doesnt appeal more the old fans from the daggerfell and morrowind generations, thatn there gonna eithr lose alot a money, or start building up a new fan base. Cause I'm not going down with the ship, even though I've been on it for so long. One day, Im gonna grad from a tech school, and make my own games, and then we'll see wg=hats what Todd. I a, a fan, I know what I want, I know what the people want, and if they cant give it to us...I will try with every fibre of my being. People have always said gaming is a waste of time. Well no, its not. Its an escape. People do heroine to get away, well I got to Vvardenfell to escape. No one can find you when your in a place they cant even dream. Thats the magic of games. THey are like a drug to me, Im addicted. Its my escape from the stress of Afganistan, politics, tax and all that garbage. Its not a game to me, its a lifestyle. People think you cant learn anything with ga,es. No, you learn alot, you learn to problem solve, and in some cases be more merciful. Sorry for going on so long, If you've read all this, I hope Ive inspired you to keep on playing, and if life gets you down, just remeber, theres a framiliar place we can all go, see you in Tamriel...... (DAMN I wish it was online!) One thing I forgaot o mention above, I love you gusy for being the fans that make it all worth it. I know this is gonna sound dramatic. But think of all the people out there who feel that same as you, Dark0ne, all of us here in the community. We are all alike in an amazing way. We are a small nation ourselves, one thats deep underground, but at least we exist, and we have a voice which can be heard by all our peers. I love you guys for sharing your thoughts and opinions with me, and for hangin in there with me, lets have some patience and see where this goes. Our voices will be heard. So lets not hate each other, lets not call each other down ( no one has here yet, thank you) Lets all admit that we have a common intrest. And that is what makes us all brothers in a way. We all agree that this game wasnt what we hoped. So for the better for us all, lets make Todd hear us, and lets do it respectably. Lets let him know we are passionate about the games, they are more than fabricated discs to us. They mean something, they have the power to raise us up and touch our hearts. You are a gamer, no sir, you get a life, we like our games the way they have been for the last ten years, dont come into our house and say it sucks. You sir, are an n'wah. Man, I hate how almost everybody I know, see and chat with in the forums is totally anti 360. I mean come on, It's a damn fine system, maybe not as visually stunning as ps3, although, some games for the 360 do make the ps3 look like sh*t, For example, Mass Effect, look up the screens on IGN, the graphics are amazing, like really better than anything I've seen the ps3 put out. Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is, why hate something, so amazing. I've had mine now for about 4 months, and I have had NO issues at all thus far. For all the peopke who have had their 360 break, or overheat, hear me now. It's a next generation console ok, (well now current) And it needs to be treated as one. It need to be in an open space, away from any dust, and for god's sake guys, don't stand it up if you have pets or small children, it will fall, accident happen. And yes, it's a very powerful piece of technology, so it gets hot. VERY HOT, believe me, DO NOT play it for more than 6 hours. I don't know how you could, just don't, the manual says 12, well, better safe than sorry. Anyways, sorry for dragging on, but I am a HUGE xbox fan, have some pride in our nation, I'm canadian, but I consider North America my country. I know, it's a continent. But yeah, I will rather to pay money to my own lands manufacturers and be f****** proud that I'm not spending my money on a Japanese company. Microsoft is NOT an enemy, they have made an amazing system, and it seems we haven't even seen the full potential of it yet. (Again, please take a boo at Mass Effect at IGN and some vids.) I'm on your sides guys, I am a PC gamer, but I have to stress, consoles can be a great thing, not the ps3. Where else do you get games like Halo 3, Gears of War, GTA 5, Mass Effect, Too Human, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Two Worlds and the game with the most advanced physics to date, Star Wars the Force Unleashed. Its almost as if bethesda and other game companies are forming a "Trust" with Microsoft. They're making they're games specifically for microsoft. I am tired of companies making deals with microsoft and endorsing they're product every where. i am not angry but rather passinate about my opinion over microsoft. All in all, if you don't like xbox and play the pc or other consoles, your in trouble becuase most games these days are designed for xbox 360. A perfect example of this was oblivion in its vanilla form and as mustardman wisely pointed out again, was mostly intended for the xbox 360. I don't want games to be designed for one sytem or another but rather universally for all systems like they were in the old days ( :( Gosh I miss those happy years with my playstion, dang you Xbox 360, Dang you!). Ok guys, this should cap off the topic. Oblivion is a good game, it is. Morrowind is a Fantasmic game. (Yeah, I made it up) THats it thats all, but thats how devs learn. They put outta game they think th people will love, and hopefully they will hear the uproar in the community and see that they did please the console fanboys, congrats, its not hard. But they didnt please the passionate fans. I have oblivion on PC and XBOX, I dont suggest anybody really dis vanilla however till you've played console. There are some things, some, not many, that do beat pc. Number one, the affordability, number two, the comfortable and simpilized controls, the non buggy scripts, I have never had a bug on console, at least with my later version, baught it yesterday. And it also easier to just kick back, chill and enjoy the amazing visuals, on pc, the LOD looked like shat on vanilla, even with a top notch comp, no way around it, but on the console, its tottally beauty, a little soupy, but way better than pc. Dont ask why, thats how I see it when I compare both vanilla, thats key, no mods. Yes there are definitly mods, or just SI expansion, better than any mod. The reason console has better visuals, is simple. The game was made for console, its 100% made for the hardware in ps3's and the box. With our pc's, there too much room for erroer, be it bad configuration or low ram. Its that simple as far as graphics go, the box is better, unless you have an 8800 gtx, that will blow the box and ps3 outta the water for sure, I guarantee it. Anyways, I hate to say this you guys, but it looks like since the development of next gen console, pc's a a dieng breed.(I HATE IT) But sadly, the console are cheaper, easier to make for the public as far as compatibility, and lets face it, they are becoming amazingly powerful. I am a PC owner, and love them over any console, but you can call me a double face gamer, I love both.

I couldnt agree more, Bethesda is becoming more and more like a Microsoft or a Bungie type of company, making there games for the larger group of mainstrem, and if I dare say, *kittie kittie* gamers. Its all about the money to them now, WHY??? Morrowind wasnt about the money, it was about making a game they were passionate about, and it showed with how detailed the world was. All the mods we hade to pay for, like horse armor, and all the others, should have been included in the game. Imagine if Halo3 comes out, and a month later they want us to pay for the last level. I know its not the same, but its just as much a piss off. Why arent they more loyal to their die hard fans, and thank god that we exist, or else we wouldve abondened the series all together. I mean, I love the series, I love the lore, I love the races, I love it all. I cant get enough of Tamriel dammit. But with the early release of Oblivion, the games seems really half assed. Im very passionate about this topic, as its been plaguing me for a while. When Morrowind first came out, I could only get mediocre game frame rates, as most of us did, but dammit we played it just as hard. When Oblivion first came out (before I upgraded my system) I played it hard anyways despite my poor frames rates, but when I discovered how different the game was, I gave up man. I couldnt bear it. The game is so wrong in so many aspects to me. If I was the dev of the game, none of this would have to be said. It would have been the exact same games as morrowind, only enhanced graphics, combat and AI. And I could have developed this game, I can script model and mod. So yeah, I know this was a bit of rant, but it has to be said. I beleive Four Worlds is gonna be way better than Oblivion. Check it out, Its gonna be what we all want. You know, before I wrap yhis up, I really want someone to make a TC for Oblivion. DL the mod of Solsthem remade, and Remake Morrowind, Its all there, It just needs to be decorated and scripted. I could do it, but Ive lost so much faith with Bethesda, I cant do it. If someone who was skilled enough could do this, I think it would blow the actual Oblivion out of the water. I dont mean just make Vvardenfell, but make ai changes, get rid of the *kittie kittie* ass compass, (If you cant follow directions, see yah) and actually make a game that the REAL Elder Scrolls fans want. I am speaking for all the real ES fans out there right now. Something has to be done...Mayby its being done...;)

8) 8) 8) You are 100% correct. i give you kudos. Anyways as mustardboy said, oblivion was more focused on action and graphics while morrowind was more focused on free roaming and variety. Since i prefer variety over graphics, I prefer morrowind. I mean the inconssitincies in oblivion were enormous. I dont know abot you people but it seemed bethesda was playing on popular pop culture in oblivion and ripped off lord of the rings in numerous aspects. for example, the imperial city was supposed to be something like venice but in the game was made to look like minas tirith. Also cyrodil was supposed to be a jungle while in the game it was something more like medevil europe. The worst however was the leveled scripting where everyone leveled up with you. This was on bethesda part bowing down to the console junkies who wanted a quick and easy game without a lot of hard detail. In rpg's I want it where my character is like a god at the end of the game. Not when im level 100 and Im struggling against a level 100 wolf. NNow the reason why bethesda did this was simple. To more open their game up to a wider aduience who in general get confused with detail and game length. All in all, i lost respect for bethesda for not staying loyal to their fan community and giving in to the mass audience's opinion. Also perhaps since consoles dont have a great deal of memory, oblivion was cut back on detail so it could function normally on the consoles without overloading its memory. Thats so true and I really hope that someone from this forum will copy paste this and email it to the boys at besthesda softworks so that The Elder Scrolls: Rise of Akivir(LOL I hope so!) I have to say that Oblivion is garbage compared to Morrowind. I love Morrowind, not because the graphics, obviosly, but because of the world, and the feeling of accomplishment from quests. There is a certain atmosphere, a certain presence in Vvardenfell that you dont get with Oblivion. The devs at Bethesda need to take a long hard look at the previuos games in the series, than look at Oblivion and say, hmmm, where did we lose our ways. I mean every single person whose played Morrowind for more than 80-150 hours, as I have, will agree. Morrowind is more immersive, and vastly better as far as roleplaying and replayability goes, or even you can use the same character forever and prbably never be bored. Yes, Oblivion has waaaaay better graphics I admit it, I wount take that from them, but It had so much potential, to be the best game ever, period. And it was wasted, I am willing to bet my life, that if they remade Morrowind, with Oblivion look and combat system, people would flat out stop playing Oblivion and burn the damn game. Please guys, I love the game, but I hate it also. No flaming, you know Im right.

Not really funny, but a testament to the many ways to die in oblivion. Anyways, i was rummaging around a cave, looking for black bows, and little did I know, the deeper I ventured, that it was in fact a bear den. So outta the shadows a HUGE brown bear lunges at me swinging, "SWEET MELINDA" It scared the crap outta me. Anyways, I remembered a large pool of water near the entrance and double back to dive deep in. I had on my Blackmarsh Helm Luckily (Breathe Water) So I waited him out hoping he would drown. I was hiding behind some roots and the giant bear got tangled in them and drown while trying to fight out of it, it was sad, but I laughted because he died and I lived. HAHA...
