  1. It is sadly not possible to make a brand new animation in skyrim, as it was in oblivion. You could however replace an animation. But i think that the best way is to wait, dont know if you have seen the footage from the new dlc called "Dragonborn". In this expansion they have added spears, which would work perfectly with a lance, also it gives the modders a brand new animationset to play with. But if you are hellbent on making a new animation here is a a very good tutorial for you to read: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15238
  2. a lot of good mods listed here and i got some more :) These I could never play without: Skyrim Redone http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286 This one is genious, it adds a lot of perks, changes to combat, ai, leveling and so much more. And it comes in a very nice modular package which help you costumize it for you ultimate skyrim experience. Personally i use the whole package :) I cant recommend this enough! TK Dodge http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20923 A must have for fun combat, also kinda necessary for the rough combat system in Skyrim Redone. Also it is no immersion breaker because the dodge animation is vanilla skyrim and look very realistic, no fancy ninja moves here! And when you see that hugh orc coming charging at you with a twohanded warhammer and you make a nice sidestep in the last moment you will be very very happy and kinda proud of your fast reflexes. Haha stupid orc wasting all that stamina for nothing. As for ENB i use Project Matso http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25451 It is freaking beautiful, so good looking I want it applied IRL. I made some minor tweaks and run this on my laptop with 2K texture +40-50 other mods and have a stable 25-30 fps. The sunglare is amazing, nice vibrant colours that aint to cartoonish. The finally i got some more tips for you. Usually i like to costumize my modlist for my present character. Playing a dualwielding rouge without Dual Wield Parrying ? Impossible. Playing a mage without Apocalypse Spells ? Not nearly as fun. Bashing my way though skyrim as a fighter without Immersive Armors ? Why look boring when you dont have to? Well anyways hope you check out these fantastic mods and dont forget to endorse the modmakers for there hard work.
  3. Wow this looks its gonna be really nice, espacially like the cloth collar and leather straps, and only armor on one arm also looks badass :) And yes animated shield are possible, if you take a look at this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14060 The creator of this states: "I posting this for this reason too, so far I've seen mods that add animated weapons(may already exist but I have not found it), so if someone wants to animate their weapons, can take a look the nif files, and copy the transformation nodes" Good luck with this awesomeness!
  4. The guys from CD project red truly made a great job with the art and your retex of it looks great! I really like the mask, reminds me of dr.doom. Also i like the fact that there are mismatched gloves, one hand for wielding a weapon and one for casting spells :) Hope to see more witcher armors in skyrim, as the only vanilla skyrims armor that looks decent is the iron armor, rest looks kinda crappy compared to the witcher.
  5. I strongly recommend you to use BOSS, if you are not familiar with it its a very simple program that automaticly places your mods in a recommended load order. You can find it here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6 Also i really think you should have a look at this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9286 This mod is imho the most balanced overhaul out there today, because its covers areas from magic, to combat, perks, smithing well it touches almost every aspect in the game as a package, the gameplay experience gets very balanced and also conflict free and dosent clutter up your mod list so much. Personally i only run this mod together with some eyecandy and ui mods and it has proven to be the f-ing awsome :) Well anyways, as i stated earlier use BOSS for sorting out the mods and you should be good to go
  6. Check out the perk trees on Skyrim Redone, it is something over the ordinary.
  7. If you guys just follow the steps in this tutorial it wont be any problems http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15238 Read the "pro" variant. And instead of using the original hkxcmd use this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17109 Much simpler and have a nice ui. Works perfectly, just remember to put skeleton in "outfolder" when u are converting .hkx to .kf. When you are done editing your animation use the havok plugin in 3ds max to export them to .hkx. Piece of cake. All necessary links to plugins are provided in the tutorial i mentioned.
  8. Do you mean that you cant select any files under "Data" in the Skyrim Launcher? If that is your problem you just have to add this line to SkyrimPres.ini (found under c:/user/Documents/My Games/Skyrim) bEnableFileSelection=1 Add this line underneath [Launcher] and everything should be fine :)
  9. Did you get it to work? If so it would be very nice if you could describe your workflow and perhaps linking the post where someone explained how to create first person animations :)
  10. This problem could be non-existant if the creators of the translated mods just used the tag feature, ie check that it is in a foreign langugage and NOT english. Sadly though you cant use the tag feature when browsing "latest mods". Perhaps enabling this feature combined with a more strict moderating that forces uploaders to add correct language in mod desciption could be a pretty simple solution? Also, can i report all these mods that has faulty language description? I am most happy to do so, all these non english mods have slowly driven me to rrrrrrage!
  11. Yeah i feel the same way, it is really really annoying with all these translated mods cluttering the mod lists, even if i use the tag feature and check "english" i still get all these translation, it is so f*****ing irritating, why cant ppl just learn english? :wallbash:
  12. Ahh finally this is being made, i never really like the vanilla system and being an old d&d geek this mod is going to be the most essential mod of them all (yeah even better than nude mods) in my future skyrum endeavours. I am not that familliar with papyrus, dont even know if that is the language you are going to use to construct this mod but will it be possible to make it customizable, as Oblivion XP was, simply by editing the data in an .ini file? Anyways i wish you the best of luck and am really looking forward to enjoy your work.
  13. You forgot the most important skill of them all to pwn those stupid monsters; Shieldbash. Waaaay to overpowered in vanilla, as soon as this glorius skill is aquired all problems are byegons! Combined with the sprinting shield park and a decent onehander it will make you an unstoppable killingmachine. Forget shouts, fancy pancy magic, dogshape, dragonsummoning and everything else, well you may acctually have to level a lot of "unnecessary" (but funny) skills just to get an challenging experience on master. Thank god for all the mods that bring back danger to skyrim, without them the replay value would be close to zero.
  14. I really suggest that you try Duke Patricks Heavy Weapon Combat. If you ever used any of his mods for Oblivion you would know that this guy is combat realism come to life. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9886 Information about the mod can be found here: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1139-duke-patricks-heavy-weapons-combat/
  15. I have an idea about this. 1. Make wigs of the hairstyles that you want in the game. 2. Assign the wigs to one of the new bodyparts that bethesda has made for us. Also it would be great if it is possible to make them non-lootable, for immersions sake, if you dont want to be a scalphunter that is :) 3. Go in to the ck and make all the npc bold and equip them with a wig of your choosing. Shoudnt be an impossible task, or am i wrong?
  16. Very very nice job good sir, i have always been a bit of a hairfreak when it comes to TES games and i must say that your creations are some of the best work i have seen. There has been a lot of hairmodels with great meshes but few have your level of texturing. I am definatly going to use these in all future Skyrim gaming. (I am one of those crazy fockers that actually sit down and remake all the npc:s in the CK when i find a new beautymod, I seriously need help :wallbash: .) And i also think that it could be a good idea to make wigs out of these to avoid clipping, I wouldnt want that beautiful hair ruined by a bulky armor or quiver. I am sure if you ask some of the veteran TES modder like Apachii, he/she could help you in making these hairstyles into wigs. Also if you feel that it would be unrealistic that you must craft them, perhaps just adding them to some vendors, the sissys who sells clothes sure could deal some wigs also? My dream is that someday, in a land faraway all the people is equipt with a wig that is nonlootable and invisible in the looting list so there would be no more of that horrible clipping, but i leave that dream for another thread... Anyways good luck to you and be sure that here is one that will endorse you as soon as your creations hit the nexus.
  17. Yes bring attributes back! The system being used today with just being able to choose whether to increase health stamina and magicka is no fun att all, i want to be able to increase my strength so i can deal more damage and increase my carrying capacity or my willpower to increase magicka regen and stamina. And speed for my swift retreat ofcourse..... What i do think could be really nice with bringing attributes back is that you can put prerequisites on the perks, example: if want the dual flurry perk you must have 50 agility and 65 speed and so on, what you guys think of that idea? Also i really want to have prerequisites on weapons, a char with 20 in strenght just can wield a twohanded greatsword, welcome back after a few pushups. Is this really that hard to do? I mean you already got the choise to increase on of the three "attibutes" you got when leveling up.
  18. If you want a more challenging (and fun) combat experience you should check out Duke Patriks mod, Heavy Weapon Combat. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9886 This guy is a GENIUS when it comes to making combat more challenging and realistic, maybe it has something to do with his 30years experience of real swordfighting combat. His mods for Oblivion was absoluty amazing and I am sure that his Skyrim creations will be just as good. Together with PISE it sure will make Skyrim a more harsh experience. But i do get what you mean about Skyrim beeing kinda flat, that is the direction that Bethesda has chosen for some strange reason, maybe thay try to satisfy everyone but when doing so they end up with a product without orginality and flavour. Thank god for all the modders making this a more colorful and challenging experience. Personally i want more of an Darksouls feel in the game, where even a goblin can destroy you if not being careful, a place that will really scare you when you realise that you had sneaked to far into the dungeon and awoken the beast that slumbered within. Where you have to pick you fights very carefully and plan every move before getting in to action. Where you actually must flee sometimes, or atleast find some way to avoid the problem. And i am not talking about just gulping down an potion of invisiblilty and strolling past my enemys with i smirk smile. This is NOT present in the joke that is called Kingdoms of Amalur, i was really excited when i learned of this game but after 100+ hours playing i was sad to find out that is was just as repetetive and boring like most vanilla rpgs made these days. Sure it was nice to see beautiful fighting animations they created with all its flashy combos, but after a while even that became boring. It would be a great game if they enabled multiplayer, it sure looks, feels and plays like a multiplayer game but running around in that world solo, is like playing an mmo on an empty server.
  19. Skyrim Xp ftw! Or maybe dodging, that would be awsome.
  20. I just had great idea for a mod, just wanted to check with the community if you guys think that this is possible or even if u think that its a stupid/good idea. All opinions/suggestions are more than welcome. Well the idea is to make a sword that can be used with both 1H and 2H grip, like if you want to use it as a 1hander you simply use the left mousebutton and to use it like a 2hander you use the right mousebutton. Parrying can be achived with holding down both mousebuttons like in the dualwield block mod. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9247 if the author is kind enough to share his script with me, maybe he even want to help me ^^. I dont have much experience as a scripter but i do have a lot of time on my hands, and dont belive that the scripts necessary to achieve this would be that complicated, am i wrong? I think that a sword of this kind can be really fun to fight with because of the wide variety of possible attacks and used with duke patriks Heavy Weapons Combat (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9886) it would really improve the combat experience. When used like a onehander its fast but deal light damage and vice versa when used a twohander. Anyone who want to help me with this or even complety steal my idea are more than welcome.
