  1. Hm, got it working after a few tries, and I'm not that impressed. I lose about 20 FPS on the Whiterun steps at a quality improvement that's hard to see. Sure, some things look better - but just not THAT much better.
  2. I sincerely hope you and your family are OK!
  3. It's definitely Dead Money.esm. I tested it without WME, and it still crashes. However, as simply removing it from the Bashed Patch generation and checking it later solves the problem, it's not that severe. I'm sure a new Wrye Flash version will fix it, it was already requested on the official forums.
  4. If using Steam, you always run the game through the launcher, right? The launcher is buggy and changes you Fallout.ini file back to the Fallout_default.ini included in the game directory. Modify the Fallout_default.ini, and all should work well.
  5. Hi, everyone, here's something strange, maybe the experienced modders have an explanation: I downloaded Dead Money on Tuesday and immediately made a Bashed Patch with Wrye Flash NV to integrate it into my growing mod list. I usually import everything into the patch. Well, the game crashes on startup. Bad to hear, eh? Especially since you need Wrye Flash for nVamp. So I experimented a bit and came up with the following: If I disable Dead Money.esm and WME - Dead Money.esp, don't mark them as mergeable, build the patch and reenable them - everything starts up just fine! What the heck? I don't think not having Dead Money.esm in the patch will break anything, but it's strange nonetheless. Any explanations or ideas? As this MIGHT happen to all the nVamp users, we maybe should check into it. 6. I read something about part of the Community Bugfix Compilation Patch using the same scripts as Dead Money. Maybe you should have a look at that, e. g. remove the Patch and see if this error persists.
  7. I have to correct myself: It's probably a missing ESM/ ESP that is needed by one of your mods. When starting FO3Edit, it will try to load your mods. If it fails, you'll get a message telling you that some mod is missing something. You can then check that mod's requirements in FOMM.
  8. Have you tried sorting this with BOSS? It's integrated in FOMM. When exactly is the game crashing? If it happens right on startup, it's probably the load order. You also might try to run FO3Edit on your mods - it points out problems in your load order without CTD.

The unseleceted ESPs are merged into the bashed patch. I followed Wrye's tutorial to teh letter. During patch generation, I selected everything. Now when I start a new game with the patch activated, the game ALWAYS crashes when transferring from the GOAT scene to thhe scene where Amata wakes you up and the actual game begins. When I uncheck the patch, this doesn't happen. It's an issue of savegame corruption during startup, as savegames started with the patch crash even if it is inactive. The easiest solution would be to deactivate the patch during startup and reactivate it after the crash. But as I don't know what else might get corrupted, I thought I'd ask for help. Do any of you have an idea what's wrong with the patch? Best regards, Thyrandor
  10. For me, it helped to put CASM last in my load order.
  11. Well, I only use MMM, but I had the exact same problem with the invisibkle super mutants. I managed to fix it by manually isntalling MMM. I had used the FOMOD version before. All teh super mutants are visible with the manual install. Maybe some meshes got mixed up in the FOMOD version.
