  1. I've found the Autumn weather really brings out the West Weald. Makes it look really amazing and totally changes the feel of the area.
  2. Oooh yay! Happy snapping ;) I'm still trying to get the ultimate before and after pic. Need one that compliments the background, as well as Vanilla, and also shows off those Mikal33 tree textures which really are rippers compared to the originals ;)
  3. Hmmm. Skyrim will be hell on one hand since it looks terribly snowy and grim. On the other hand, the contrast of before and after will be pretty astounding.

Also, all those mountains will look beautiful all green. I think Scotland will be my inspiration for that one ;)

  4. I find that the Paradise weather code really makes it look ultra Autumnal.

I'm pretty pleased with those bloody LODs at last too. They're not high quality but for once I got the colours right - pretty much ^_^

  5. *Blushing*

Lovely to hear that. As beautiful as Oblivion is, I just could NOT stand those dull greens. Same old story with every game I play. Sims 2, GTA, you name it. It's all had a lush and gaudy mod.

  6. As for experience, I don't think mine counts since I understand so little of what I do. And, I'm always reliant on someone else's textures. Recolouring is pretty much my limit.
  7. Thank you :) It's a lot more fun than I every imagined. I really didn't think anyone would like my rather gaudy sense of colour.

Plus knowing that people are going to be using it made me put in so much more effort, so I get the bonus of a nicer mod for myself as well ;)

  8. In general, 17 years. Started with using hex in the Pro Action Replay 2 for the Mega Drive to recolour all the landscape of the games I played.

For the pc, I started modding about ten years ago...I think. Never really gone beyond recolouring though.

And hello to you too :)

  9. Hmm, I'll have to have a look at it :)

    *Hugs*

It's a pity getting better is entirely reliant on what we do for ourselves. Would be a nice change if it could be more external every now and then.

  10. I hope things pick up a bit for you :) Mine have a little, so that's a relief.

I'm a fairly mixed bag when it comes to books. I love just about anything by Daphne Du Maurier. Other books I enjoy are Lord of The Flies, Lolita, Jane Eyre, Verdun, The Winds of War, The Twelve Caesars, The House of The Spirits, The Complete History of Jack The Ripper. I suppose I lean towards 'dark'.

  11. As for movies;

Gladiator, The Last Of The Mohicans, The Lion In Winter, Alien, Terminator, Predator, The Armour of God 2: Operation Condor, Blood on Satan's Claw, Where Eagles Dare, The Omen (the original, of course), The Devils, The Commitments.

Again, mixed bag, leaning towards ...hmm....violence?

  12. I'm alright today. Just got up. Trying to psyche myself up for a bit of modding :) How about you?

And yes, my interests range from ...hmmm....grungy to senile? :)

  13. *Gets out the turps* This should take care of that paint. And thanks for putting a smile on my face. Definitely helped to brighten up my day :)
  14. Awww thank you Trebor :)
  15. Obviously it wouldn't be a 'realistic' style of water, but as I said, I'm not chasing realism
  16. I'm fairly new to Oblivion modding, so please excuse my lack of knowledge in this arena  I've tested out about every water modification I can find, as well as googled for oblivion.ini tweaks, etc, and I've yet to find a modification that creates a water with a surface as transparent from beneath as it is from above. At present I'm using the Advanced Water Modification, since it has the sort of clear water and vivid colour I like. However, while the surface above water is beautiful, the surface as seen from below water is murky. Same with Clear Water, Natural Water, etc etc. You name it. (I've gone through all the mods I can find as well as tried to read up as much as possible about this and haven't been able to find an answer. So I hope people realise this isn't a plea for help without having at least tried to figure things out for myself  ) Is there a reason why the surface transparency is always so murky when underwater, while from above water you can clearly see to the bottom? Is it actually possible to change? Does anyone know of any mods which REALLY make it clear? One reason I chose the Advanced Water Modification is that the surface water from above very much reminds me of the beautiful water in Farcry. But, unlike Farcy, when you're underwater you can barely see anything through the surface. I realise this is NOT the most realistic desire, but frankly I like my water impossibly perfect and clear and not realistically murky. I just want it super clear, no fog, and to be able to see up through the surface. If anyone could offer a bit of advice or point me in the direction of a mod or even offer an explanation that such a thing isn't possible, it would really be appreciated  If it can't be done, then I can give up on the idea. If it is possible, then at least I can get to work on trying to make it happen :) As yet, I'm rather stuck since I can't find documentation regarding surface transparency from BELOW. If the answer is something simple, then I can be very embarrassed for having missed it :P
