  1. Adrynn Indarys, Bal Isra A smile crossed Adrynn's lips as he made his way up the small hill to the gate of Bal Isra. I'm home, though not for long . . ., Adrynn thought to himself, sighing mentally. His duties to House Redoran had him going from Vivec to Gnisis and anywhere in between, depending on what exactly he was doing. He glanced back to see Edward trudging along behind him. The other man had barely spoken a word since they left Ald-Ruhn, though it didn't surprise him at all. Edward seemed to be the kind of man who kept to himself unless there was something he needed, or so it appeared to Adrynn. Footsteps in front of him broke his train of though. Glancing up, Adrynn saw a Dunmer in Chitin armor walking toward him and Edward. "Ah, Viras. Good to see you," Adrynn said, nodding to the Hetman of Indarys Manor. "Adrynn. Glad to see your trip to Ald-Ruhn was . . . productive," Viras said, glancing at Edward, who still had his hood up. Adrynn followed Viras' eyes and nodded. "Indeed, Viras. This is Edward Wildeve. He wishes to join the garrison of Indarys Manor and find some work." "Very well," Viras said, turning back to Adrynn. "Were you able to talk to the Archmaster about those patrols? Those bandit attacks are getting more and more frequent. I'm tired of taking in poor and hungry people." Viras's eyes glanced over to Edward. Adrynn's face became stone. "Yes, Viras. He said he'd get the request pushed through. You can expect more patrols by the end of the week." "Very good, Adrynn," Viras said, nodding to the other Dunmer as he turned away and headed toward the Manor Services hut. Adrynn turned back to Edward. "Please forgive him. He's a hard man, and has seen more than most. He doesn't really mean what he said." Adrynn strode toward the large shell of the manor and opened the door. "Come, Edward. Let's get something to eat. I'm sure the men have something prepared by now," Adrynn said, beaconing with a long fingered hand and a smile on his lips.
  2. @WFK: . . . What? ;D
  3. Ban LordWushin for not banning everyone.
  4. :D Good one. That was an awesome joke. Hahahaha. Although spiders are technically arachnids, and not insects . . . :whistling: Just saying.
  5. Adrynn Indarys, Outskirts of Ald-Ruhn "By all means, Edward, let us go." Adrynn said, turning around and heading out the gates, hoping Edward would follow him. OCC: I'm probably gonna skip the walk to Bal Isra, unless Xan wants to talk about anything on the way.
  6. Well, I think we have as many members as we can. So far, the RP is moving along smoothly. :) Keep it up guys.
  7. Ban newit for making up words. :P
  8. Adrynn grinned as he shook Edward's hand. Well, this is a rare occurrence, Adrynn thought to himself. It wasn't every day that a sword wielding human asked him for work in the middle of a dying ash storm. He ran his sharp crimson eyes over the other man, noticing the tired, lean face and messy hair, but what really struck him was what was inside Edward's eyes. Determination, strength, and something else. Something he couldn't pinpoint at that moment, yet it felt as familiar to him as his own skin. I'll find out later, Adrynn thought, mentally shrugging. "You overheard correctly, Edward. I do run a stronghold. A House Redoran one, to be exact. It's about two miles north-northeast of the city, halfway between here and the small town of Maar Gan. I'm headed there now, if you wish to come. We can discuss your work-related woes when we get there," Adrynn said, smiling slightly. Glancing back at Edward, a thought occurred to him. Perhaps this man could be a good addition to House Redoran. Even more so if he is stationed at Bal Isra.
  9. Well, you could ignore the main quest like I do and play all kinds of quest mods. ;)
  10. You are trying to run two different versions of OOO at once. I suggest unnistalling OOO, then getting OOO 1.33, and the 1.34 beta. That should solve your issues. ;)
  11. Adrynn Indarys, Outskirts of Ald-Ruhn Adrynn was just passing between the twin guard towers of the main gate of Ald-Ruhn when a voice rang out behind him. Stopping, he spun around and peered through the ash, trying to find who had called out. He noticed a cloak bound figure and recognized him as the same man from the Mage's Guild. Wondering why he had been hailed by the man, Adrynn made his way to where he stood, noticing the sword on the man's shoulder. Hoping that he wasn't going to be attacked in broad daylight unarmed, Adrynn greeted the other man. "Hello, stranger. My name is Adrynn Indarys, how may I help you?" Adrynn said, holding out a hand.
  12. Adrynn Indarys, Ald-Ruhn Adrynn stepped out of the Skar, closing the creaking door and throwing a thick scarf around his face to filter the fine ash as it rained down in a thick storm. He strode down the street quickly, covering his eyes with a long fingered hand so he could see where he was going, though he knew the city like the back of his hand. He went down the steps and to the right, headed for the large shell that held the Mage's Guild. Opening the door, he stepped inside quickly, shaking off the ash and pulling the scarf down from his face. As his eyes adjusted quickly to the dim interior, he noticed a distinct flash of steel. Looking to his right, he saw a beautifully crafted blade laid on the nearby table. Stepping closer to examine the sword, Adrynn noticed a cloaked figure sitting in the chair to his right. Figuring to whom the sword belonged to, Adrynn nodded in greeting to the man and headed downstairs. Sweeping his eyes across the large room, Adrynn noticed many members of the Mage's Guild at work, some mixing potions, others with a nose deep in a book, and a couple praying at the Imperial Cult Shrine. "Adrynn! There you are, you devil of a Dunmer!" a thin, over worked female voice rang out. "Edwinna! Still at work, I see . . ." Adrynn said, a grin spreading over his face as he embraced the demure little Breton woman. "You bet your grey hide I am!" she said with a mischievous twinkle in her brown eyes. "Now where have you been? I sent you out to get that scroll two weeks ago!" "I've been busy, Edwinna. I have a stronghold to run and a House to serve as well. You seem to keep forgetting that, my little friend," Adrynn said, winking at Edwinna. The little Breton put her hands on her hips and looked up at the tall Dunmer, admiring the strong facial features and the deep crimson eyes he had. "I haven't forgotten one bit. But you need to keep your studies up if you want to advance any further in the Guild, Adrynn. You have such potential." "I know, I know . . . That is why I brought you this," Adrynn said, handing Edwinna a scroll and some gold. "It's what you sent me to get. And the change from what you gave me to get it." Edwinna's eyes lit up as she unrolled the parchment and read what it said. "Thank you Adrynn!" "It's no problem. Now, if you will excuse me, I must be heading out," Adrynn said. "I have some House business to attend to." "Oh, no problem, dear. Go right on ahead," Edwinna said, giving the tall Dunmer another hug before turning away and reading the scroll he had brought her. Shaking his head with a grin, Adrynn headed upstairs, then out the door, wrapping the scarf around his face as he shut the door.

  14. Alrighty, I'm still waiting on a couple char sheets, but I'd like for everyone to introduce your character at some point.

  16. Adrynn Indarys, Ald-Ruhn, Redoran Council Chambers Adrynn awoke, sitting up sharply, his dark ash gray skin covered in a fine bead of sweat. He threw the thick crimson covers off of him and swung his legs off the bed and held his head in his long fingered hands. The dream was still fresh in his mind, teasing him with things of darkness and nightmares. He took a few deep breaths and tried to clear the images from his mind. "It's only a dream, Adrynn, it's only a dream. It doesn't mean anything," he told himself, still reliving the horrors of it. Shaking the memory of the dream from his head, he stood up and stretched, hearing his joints pop. With that done, he reached into the nearby closet and pulled out his change of clothes and got dressed quickly, his nimble fingers fastening the buttons to his shirt with quick ease. After he pulled on his black leather boots, he grabbed the small stack of parchment and a small journal that lay on the desk beside the bed and made his way out of the spare room of the Council Hostel and into the Redoran Council Hall itself, seeing the Counselors of House Redoran around the table to his right, all in deep discussion. He made his way over to them and watched one in a deep red robe detach from the others and make his way to where Adrynn stood. "Ah, Adrynn. Excellent, you're awake," Archmaster Athyn Sarethi said, a smile gracing his weathered face as he embraced Adrynn. "I trust all of your needs were met?" Athyn said with a twinkle in his eye. "Yes, Archmaster, they were. Thank you," Adrynn said, a smile coming to his lips as well. Athyn Sarethi had been Archmaster of House Redoran for two years now, ever since the Nerevarine had come to Vvardenfell and claimed his right as Hortator of House Redoran. In the struggle to fulfill the Prophecies, the Nerevarine had to defeat the former Archmaster, Bolvyn Venim in a duel in the Arena in Vivec. Needless to say, Venim didn't win. Since the Nerevarine had disappeared as quickly as he had appeared, Athyn Sarethi was chosen to lead House Redoran. "Well, now, Adrynn. What brings you to Ald-Ruhn from Bal Isra?" Athyn asked, wrapping an arm around Adrynn's shoulders and leading him off away from the other Counselors. "This," Adrynn said, handing Athyn the stack of paperwork. "I've been getting reports of bandits along the road from Ald-Ruhn to Maar Gan and have come to fill out a request for more patrols along that route. I'll even offer some of my men if I need to." Athyn looked over the reports, his weathered face falling into a scowl. "I've always wondered why bandits even bothered with trying to attack poor pilgrims travelling along that route." "It's because they are headed to Maar Gan to the Shrine to pay their respect to the Tribunal. And usually they have a lot of gold, or can be ransomed for gold." "Hmm, yes. Good point, Adrynn," Athyn said, his eyes scanning the reports some more. "I'll make sure to get this request through." "Thank you, Archmaster," Adrynn said, a smile gracing his lips again. "Oh, it's no trouble. You know that," Athyn said, patting Adrynn on the shoulder. "Have you heard any news from the mainland?" Adrynn stopped. "I have not. Why, what happened?" "Well, besides the rising of House Dres and the slow decline of House Indoril? There are rumors that Helseth is plotting against the other Houses." "This is nothing new, Archmaster. King Hllaalu Helseth has always been greedy for more power." "Indeed, but this is different. Something is afoot. Something that doesn't bode well for any of the Houses." "What do you want me to do about it?" Adrynn asked, his hands clasped behind his back as he stared into the eyes of the man he owed everything to. "Well, nothing right now. But, there is a task I have for you." "What would that be, Archmaster?" "We have received a request for you to come meet an Imperial Legion Commander who is stationed north of Ald-Ruhn. One Lecuaro Marczon, I believe. It seems he wishes to meet you about some important matter he's dealing with." "When do I leave?" Adrynn asked, interested. "Today. Prepare your things. You have a long walk ahead of you." Adrynn saluted. "Yes, Archmaster." OOC: Well, I think this has been a fairly good way to start the RP. SoulofChrysamere, I hope you can post soon. And guys, you can post what your characters are doing. I'll try to move the story along when we get everyone introduced.
  17. Alright guys, I'm about to post the first bit in the RP. When you post, I want it to be clear who you are and where your char is, so when you post, make sure to have bolded and underlined your char's name and where he is at the top of each post. Example: Character Name, Current Place That way we can all know who and where your char is. :) Also, make sure you use your spellcheck and remember that you do NOT control any other member's characters. If you do, I will have your char killed, probably in an absurdly funny way. :) Ok?
  18. It's tolerated, just try to make your posts understandable. And you know you have spellcheck, right? If it's an odd word you think you know how to spell, but the spellcheck doesn't recognize the word, then spell it the best you can. :)
  19. I like that idea. ;) Good thinking, Auriana.
  20. Hey guys. This is where the action will happen. :) Here is the Discussion Thread As soon as either me or SoulofChrysamere approve a character sheet, I will put it here in Spoiler tags with the Username of those who it belongs to above it. After the death of Almalexia and the departure of the Nerevarine from Mournhold, King Hlaalu Helseth decided that it would be prudent for him to retrieve the bodies of the two slain Tribunal and then show them to the public, proving that their "Gods" were nothing more than fakes. To meet this end, Helseth sent a search party to the High Fane in Mournhold to see if the rift made by Barilzar's Mazed Band was still open. To their surprise, it was. But to their dismay, they found the mutilated bodies of four of the Hands of Almalexia. Out of the shadows sprang the fifth, his mind lost to Sheogorath as he brutally attacked the Royal Guards guarding the team, killing them before they could react. A battle raged in the chambers of Almalexia as High Ordinators poured into the room, all trying to stop the rampaging Hand. The search party quickly disappeared into the rift of the Mazed band and disappeared. None of them were ever seen again. At least, not for a while, that is. darkedge42392 SoulofChrysamere boneless1 XanAlderon Zephyr Kronos Sarogath AurianaValoria1 Nethgros mythicdawnmaster Macman253 NinjaGoddessAyra SikSikSikki razorpony Hopefully I can get more character sheets in here for you to read. :)
  21. Hi everyone! :D This will be my first time working on an RP here on nexus, but I'm excited about the one I'm about to announce. It's an Elder Scrolls RP, set between the events of Morrowind and Oblivion, about the year 3E 431. Thanks to the help of SoulofChrysamere, who has helped me come up with a backstory, I present Shadows of the Darkest Soul, an RP about what happened between the death of Almalexia in 3E 429, to the passing of Uriel Septim in 3E 433. Join me in this adventure if you dare, as I promise a fulfilling story and plenty of twists and turns. :) Here is the RP If you wish to join, you have to PM either me or SoulofChrysamere to get your character sheets approved. This is the Character Sheet I wish for you to follow. Name: This is where you put your character's name Race: This is where you put your char's race. Age: This is where you put your character age. IMPORTANT NOTE: If your char has a ridiculously high age (e.g. an elf) I would advise adding what age they appear to be, otherwise people will think your char is the King of Wrinkle-town. Also, ages any larger than 400 (already massively high!) are just being silly. Birthsign: Add a birthsign. Class: These can be custom. A nice add on for Class is Class Description, which allows a nice bit of background for your class and fleshes out your sheet. If your character does not fit a particular class, I would suggest either putting a multiple class that covers it, (scholar/thief) making up your own, or else substituting class entirely with class description, to give an idea of what they are capable of. (You know, writing what they are good at and their style of fighting.working...) Also, past professions might be a good choice- Ex-Soldier, that sort of thing. Or even their occupation or hobby- Artist or Maid. Skills: Keep it reasonable. Certainly no more than seven skills from the oblivion set, and ten from the morrowind one. There was a reason they only allowed you so many skill slots. And that reason is BALANCE. Too many skills make you too powerful. For this RP, you are allowed 8 skills from Oblivion to pick from, so choose wisely. Yes, you may use Spears and the like from Morrowind, but keep it reasonable, alright? Also, I wouldn't take skills from all three different specialisations (Combat, Stealth, Magic for those who knows), because it seems unlikely that someone would be able to study all three easily. Also, there are skills, normal, everyday sort of skills, other than those you find in the games. Perhaps substitute one or two from the game with these, or add one or two onto the end. But it has to fit the class. General Appearance: As in, what your char looks like. Put it all in (not clothing, but physical appearance) Other categories such as Height, Build, Eyes, Skin and Hair Colour help flesh out the appearance and make your char sheet easier to navigate, but they should not stand alone. General Appearance is the biggie. Clothing/Armour: Don't be unrealistic with this, and once again, feel free to go into detail. Detail is good. Everybody likes detail. Detail detail detail Weapons: Right, don't go too powerful with these, or someone will skin you alive. Legendary items are, as a general rule, off-limits, or they are if you're with anyone sensible. Also, the itty bitty bosmer mage cannot wield the massive warhammer. It would probably rip his arms off to try. Biography/History: Your character's history. No heroes of Kvatch or Nerevarines here if it can be helped, mm'kay? These aren't necessary, but they are nice. Don't right essays for them, just give the basic overview. I pulled this character sheet straight from someone who knows what they are talking about. Illusionary Nothing over on the Official Elder Scrolls Forums. Here is his brutally honest essay on RPing Now, I hope you will take the time and join me in this RP, and I hope to see you in the forums. :)
