Some texture mods seem to be disabling

Hi, I am using most of the mods recommended in STEP, plus a few others. I have started noticing that a lot of the texture mods do not appear to be loaded every time I play. If I activate them all(using NMM btw) they will work fine, but after I quit the game and start up again, sometimes some of them will not be loaded and textures will be vanilla. an example would be the mod A Quality World Map With Roads, I started teh game earlier and noticed there were no roads showing, so I re-enabled it and it was fine. None of the mods which require plugins are affected in this way. Any idea what is wrong?

Hi guys. I recently started a new game of New Vegas as I haven't played any of the dlc's yet and I have addded some mods that I have enjoyed in the past and so far gameplay has been very smooth and I have been surprised at how well it has run. However, I have been getting intermittent crashes which are starting to slightly annoy me. It only ever happens when moving to a new area either through a door or via fast travel. IT will either ctd or just freeze. I can go anything from 1 minute to 2 hours without a crash, I have played for quite a while without any but sometimes it will happen very frequently. I am running 64bit W7 and my gpu os a 69502gb, cpu is a phenom x4. Here is my load order, I would appreciate it if someone could look it over, though I think it seems ok to me. NMC's is the best imo. It doesn't conflict with anything at all. I haven't had it for long, so can't really comment on performance but i am using the medium pack and it seems very resource hungry. Using an oc'd phenom x4 [email protected] with a 2gb 6950. I do get frame rate drops, but it i think it is something else causing it. I can't imagine my PC is really struggling. To clear up what i meant about FOOK, it is compatible with Project Nevada, but not the equiptment module, so if you want them both, do not install the equiptment module of Project Nevada! Also you will need Unified HUD project in order for Project Nevada and DUI to work together(it really is essential), and follow the instructions on the DUI page about changing the ini. -

I've got most of them at the moment on my current playththrough. Here is a link for Darnified UI- http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1131897-wipzbeta-darnified-ui-nv/ A core game of AWOP/Project Nevada/FOOK/ Weapon mods Extended will be exellent, but FOOK is incompatible with the eqiptment module of Project Nevada so it probably is best not to run both of them. Also, Electro-City is a great mod which adds lights to the wasteland. Will be very useful with darker nights. Nevada Skies is great but there is also Project Reality, which adds some great visual effects to the game as well as overhauling the weather system. -
Well i have a nice mix now- PN-FOOK-EVE-Project Reality-WME-Caliber-Electro Sity as my main mods. It is running very well too, so much morestable than FO3 ever was :tongue: The only thing i will have to change is my levelling, as i think i am levelling up too quickly, as i am only just in Nipton and i'm level 7!

Hi guys, i recently started a game just milling around trying to work out which mods i like. I was wondering which mods you would recommend with the following list. I currently have a very stable game with the following being my main mods- Project Nevada- Core and cyberware FOOK New Vegas WME Project Reality (much prefer it to Fellout/Nevada Skies) A World Of Pain. Monster Mod (but i am thinking of turning it off) These are the mods i am thinking of and i would appreciate advice on what works best together etc I am thinking of either turning on the Project Nevada realism module or looking for something else I am also thinking of VVV or IWS, anyone use them? Is there a mod which adds some new billboards/posters etc and some new load screens? Also, are there any other interesting mods that would work well with those? Thank you

I have messed about with load order now and i appear to have stopped the crashes for now but it stutters like hell. I have the stutter remover, are there any other stability improvements i should look for? Also, i had trouble with Nevada Skies and Fellout so i'm just going to use NS, i'm not sure they are both needed really, doesn't NS do basically the same as Fellout and more? -

Hi guys, i have just started Fallout New Vegas with tons of mods after playing Vanilla on release. The 4gb enabler completely stabilized my FO3 game when i used it but i am a bit confused about the alternatives for New Vegas Could somebody please point me in the direction of the one to use? Also, do you still run it through FOMM when using this and if not, does it not affect other mods? Thank you

Started getting freezes

Hi guy. I am still getting crashes around the Arefu area only. It starts happening as i approach from any direction and extends from the baseball ground from the east towards Evergreen Mills (just short of it) Any ideas what is causing this? I actually diseabled Arefu expanded and it still happens. Load order is still the same as above :smile: Thank you -

Thanks for the quick reply. I do have Shrapnel on my list, forgot to list it. I have basically looked through the Nexus top 100 lists of all of different categories and i've made a list of around 70 mods which i am interested in. I really liked FOOK2 in FO3, so i will look to use t again, I will have to find out what it actually incorporates though, as in FO3 it actually included Fellout and Streetlights and a few other mods which might be on my list also. In the description, they say that FOOK is compatible with Project Nevada core and rebalance modules. I think the best thing would be to load up a game with the major overhaul mods and see if any of the smaller mods i am looking at are already used in one of them. -
Hi everyone. I have nearly finnished an epic playthrough of Fallout 3 with many mods, around 110 hours in. I am going to start on New Vegas soon and i would like some advice on which mods to use, specifically on compatability with overhaul mods. These are the gameplay mods which have caught my eye so far. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could advise me as to whether they are all compatible with eachother, and if not, which ones i can not use: Also, some of the mods i am considering might already be covered by one of the big overhauls. 1.Project Nevada 2. Fook NV 3.A World of Pain 4. Monster mod 5. New Vegas restoration 6.Electro City 7.Realistic repair 8.Project Ultimatum 9.Immersive Karma 10. Increased wasteland spawns Also, are there any others which you would recommend? Thank you. I might ask a few more questions about compatability, as there are so many mods i would like to try, it is quite overwhelming! Oh and Fellout or Nevada skies?

Which companion mod would be best for me?

I have another question. Which "needs" mod do you think is best? I have just installed RI primary needs, but i know there are others like basic needs etc. Also, I noticed that Aqua Pura has no affect. have i missed a plugin somewhere or is this a known issue? Cheers -
Hi, I currently have a game going with FOOK2,MMM as my main gameplay mods. I have recently been playing with Underground Hideout which i think is great, but i think that it is not quite "companion friendly" enough. Also, i like the above ground bit, but think there is not quite enough tbh, and there is not a real communal area imo. Also, i can't get Vanilla or FOOK companions to sandbox there. I was looking at using RR companion vault. I imagine that it will work ok with FOOK which uses Phalanx companion mod? Basically i would like a camp/town/vault which i could use as a base where i could keep all of my Companions. I like the look of RR companion valut, but is there a part of it above ground, as it is something i liked about the Underground Hideout. Which mods would you use to achieve what i am looking for? Thank you. btw, i didn't get on with RTS

Yeah, i sorted the problem with The Crimson caravan, i've played most of it now, very good mod. Can't believe the difference the town expansion mods make to the game tbh. In a way, i think they are almost the most essential mods. I will add an endorsement to that file as it made it more stable once i sorted the load order :smile: It is always the way, that i make a thread about a problem and then find a fix for it. LOL though this has been a problem for a fw days now and was really annoying me. Basically, i came across this article when looking for a solution-My link I removed the file automat01.nif from the fook directory and now i do not get crashes around the Arlington library area, so it looks like it has been fixed (fingers crossed). It was freezing whenever i moved the mouse around Arlington library, but now in the same savegame, it is very smooth so it must have been the problem. This game is so sensitive to anything, but in a way, i kind of love it for it :tongue: It wouldn't be the same if everything just ran smoothly. -
Hi guys. I have a problem on FO3 which is driving me mad. I have been playing this game for around 25 hours with no problems, but now i have started getting freezes in game where the picture reezes but the sound continues. It only happens in a specific area, which is around the Arlington Library to just short of Andale. Outside of this area it is absolutely fine. Hi guys, i know it is an old problem but i can't seem to find a fix for it and it is driving me mad!! In the quest "Take It Back" Liberty Prime crosses the little iron bridge and then just stops and nothing that i have done will make him move, he just stands there looking around and occasionally turns round or lifts his leg. I have gone ahead and killed most of the Enclave, then returned and nothing happens. occasionally when i return to him he looks as if he wants to move but he always just stays in the same position. Surely there must be a fix for this isn't there? Thank you. Don't worry. Got past it now

hello everyone. new to the forums and would appreciate some help with the nightmare that i am having trying to install oblivion goty on my laptop. i have played oblivion for years on the 360 but recently bought the pc version as i would like to play it at work but i can't install the damn thing.... when i enter the disc the autorun starts but soon this message comes up: No disc inserted. Please insert the original "Oblivion GOTY" CD/DVD. Please have a look at http://www.securom.c...ge.asp?m=nodisc for further, more detailed information. i have tried running in compatability mode and stuff like that but to no avail. i am running windows 7 home premium and my laptop has no problem in actually running the game. any help would be much appreciated thank you ps sorry, i know, posted this somewhere else by mistake.
