  1. Zero replies. How helpful. I'll simplify my question: On what settings could I run the E4400 on? What about the Q6600 Quad core?
  2. Probably getting the game at midnight, but the required CPU to be able to play the game at decent settings is still in the mail, and I have to install the new PSU for that chip as well. Looks like Skyrim will take some work to get running.
  3. Configuration one: Windows 7 Home Premium 4GB DDR2 RAM Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 @ 2GHz Radeon HD5750 1GB Configuration Two: W7 4GB DDR2 RAM Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz Radeon HD5750 1GB Advice would be much appreciated. I'm no longer sure how the 5750 will fare with newer games, and I want to know how well the E4400 will keep, as my Core 2 Quad chip is still in the mail.
  4. How would I know if either is the issue? The normal maps from the unedited nif should do it, right?
  5. I'm trying to do something very simple. I go into Blender, split an object, and delete part of it and I export the .nif, but it is invisible in Oblivion. In another .nif, I deleted an object and added another in, but I get the same result in Oblivion. I've looked everywhere, but I can't find a solution. Help please?
  6. Not simple... I'm trying to combine a skirt and thighhighs with an HGEC base... I can't just delete the legs.
  7. No modelling tips, guys? It should be simple enough to explain something like this. Google search hasn't been fruitful.
  8. I'm trying to mix and match a few mods to create a costume for my personal use, but my Blender knowledge is limited to moving, deleting, and importing, among a very limited few things. Unfortunately, I don't know how to correct the clipping of some legwear with the HGEC body I added in: http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/4882/blender1.png I'd like some tips on how to fix this, and if you can, some further tips in Blender, as I'm a newbie in using it. Thanks!
  9. I've been looking everywhere for a decent coat mod for both male and female characters, but unfortunately none of them are what I'm looking for: a black peacoat, and a respective legwear for males and females, trousers and pleated skirt/black stockings. I humbly request somebody to consider this mod request. Here are a few reference images: Image four is a prime example of a combination of the peacoat and the skirt. If somebody could do this, it would mean a lot to me. I've been looking for a coat for years but never found one.
  10. No, the issue here is the texture is for the V2 Lattamer, while I have V3. A major difference is completely different face files. I've done both the manual and exe install, which won't work because of the aforementioned issue. :P And yeah, I've installed it correctly, have all the packages, right file paths, etc.
  11. I was able to install the Lattamer V2 skin for V3 successfully, but I can't get the face textures to match up with the body. Is there a method to fix this, or a file I can obtain? The massive difference really irks me.
  12. I made a custom mesh by deleting and adding a few things, and it looks fine in Nifskope. When I put it in the game, however, it doesn't appear when I put it on, rather, it gives me a cloak of transparency... And help?
  13. Only thing that stands out to me is Steins;Gate. How is it?
  14. That looks good, but my main desktop rig is only running Windows 7 HP 32-bit, as various programs that I use often are not compatible with 64-bit. Is there something similar that will address this issue for 32-bit, like a 3GB patch?
  15. http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/01/researchers-create-two-100-terabit-per-second-optical-connection/ Holy crap. Too bad it'll take ten years to bring it into the consumer market, though.
  16. I found the Fallout 3 mod for Marisa. Could somebody potentially port that to Oblivion?
  17. I've seen a few pictures on the web with Marisa's outfit. Does anybody happen to have any links to download that?
  18. Is it possible for anybody to make a black peacoat for Oblivion for both female and male characters? It shouldn't be too complex to make as there aren't too many little things to add to the complexity of the mesh, and I'm sure an experienced modder can do this easily. If it isn't too much to ask, a matching black skirt/pants respectively for female and male characters would be nice as well. Cheers.
  19. Disabling the music had little to no impact on the lag. What I find peculiar is that the lag associated in some of the aforementioned locations were originally lag-free and gradually became full of lag.
  20. Sorry for the bump, but I really would like this problem sorted. It's not fun being slowed down to 1fps in the anvil docks.
  21. An update: Almost a month later. I have tried out some of the tweaks with little to no performance, including CaptainMorgan's .ini edit. I installed Vanilla Oblivion on a Thinkpad Laptop (Core i7 2.13GHz 640LM(Low power, low watt), 4GB DDR3, Intel HD Graphics) and there's absolutely no lag at all in the aforementioned Anvil docks. I also noticed upon installing AFK Weye, there was absolutely no lag at all, but after a while, Weye became incredibly laggy that I'm beginning to avoid Weye like the plague. Same with Kvatch Aftermath mod - During most of my gameplay with the rebuilt Kvatch, it was lag free, and gradually become so laggy that it dropped down to 2fps. Same with Abandoned Shack mod, and for some reason, even the interior of Battlehorn castle, and IC Marketplace. On the otherhand, the Anvil city itself has a very smooth fps. Definitely not performance issues anymore. To test this out, I downloaded Qarl's textures mod and installed it with no FPS hit whatsoever.
  22. Something you could do is SetEssential 0 all the essential people. I haven't checked it out yet, but Reneer's Guard Overhaul might be something you'd be interested in. Though it doesn't seem to fix the problem with bodies, they do react more realistically. Off topic: Pheasant=bird peasant=Subjects of a kingdom
  23. LOL - Sometimes they DO fall in ...erm..."odd" positions don't they? Oh. I get it now. xD
