  1. How do I sort mods? I downloaded the USSEP (sp) main mod for Skeyrim and then the patch which it says to put it right under the main USSEP mod. But I had downloaded another mod for the map and now the mod that is supposed to be 2nd is 3rd and I can't figure out how to move the darn thing up. Thanks.
  2. In response to post #35634417. If you use Firefox you can prevent being directed to another site.
  3. When I ask NM to check for mod updates I see that there are a lot of them. But it isn't downloading and installing them automatically. I looked for some way to make that happen but didn't find a way. Is there a way to have mods update automatically?
  4. I hate the sound of some of the guns. The .50 cal weapons sound like Lady Finger firecrackers ( anyone else remember those things? ). I installed a MOD to fix the weapons sounds but now anytime a machine gun turret starts firing they all start firing and won't stop until I quit the game and come back in. Only way to stop them is to scrap them. So I had to disable that mod.
  5. What do they mean by " long load times ". Are they referring to STARTING the game? or are they talking about the ungodly waiting for the next location to load after your walk through a door or change location?
  6. I do have the custom .ini file but I wondered if there would be a conflict having the deleted line in custom.ini still present in the default.ini. I edited the file with Notepad ++ and on their forum they said I could comment it out by highlighting it and hitting Cntrl - K which puts a semi-colon at the beginning of the line. I launched F4 and it < seems > to be working ok. I think, unless I run into some problem, I will leave it commented out since it seems to work ok.
  7. I was going to install a new mod this morning and saw the pop up to change some .ini files. I had ignored this in the past and some mods didn't work right. So this morning I decided to take the time to find out what that was about. There are instructions to change some .ini files and to deprecate a line in one of them. Find the line that reads: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ Replace this with the following text: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ * The above settings were deprecated as they were known to cause abnormally long load-times. The long line is still present in a Fallout 4 default.ini file. Should I remove it? Can you remark a line in these .ini files so it doesn't run and leave the line like it is in case I discover i need it again later?
  8. Nevermind. I searched the menus and found the ' reinstall UI ' and that worked. All is where it belongs once again.
  9. My NMM ( latest version ) has a problem. The Mod list has disappeared!!! The plugins still show on the left side but the list of mods is GONE. Seems to still be working but I can't see the list of mods in NMM anymore. Don't know what happened but I'd like to fix it if I can.
  10. If one of you talented people would like a new mod project ... I would love to have a mod that would show us lists of our inventories with their properties such as damage and value etc. etc. and, in the best case scenario, have the ability to print the list out. I have discovered that it is difficult to determine which is the best armor to wear at any one time especially when you have a LOT of items. Right now just in armor I have about 2500 in weight --- or more --- and that's a lot of items to dig through. The Sort function doesn't work too well. If you sort on Damage, for instance, it appears to sort by damage WITHIN a group. So it groups leather items by group and pocketed items by group etc. etc. and it might be that a high value leather item would be better than a lower value metal item but it is difficult to determine that from the way it sorts. For some reason they decided to group items instead of listing EVERYTHING in the sort order without grouping which would allow you to bring up the items with the highest damage rating right to the top whether their they were leather or metal or whatever.
  11. I had never experienced crashing in F4 until I installed a couple of mods from Nexus. Now the game has frozen / crashed several times.
  12. Yeah I finally discovered that. I hadn't even noticed the red guy and there is NO indication that clicking him will give you a log in dialogue. It just looked like a page decoration. Instead of it saying ' you are not logged in ' ... it should say ' click here to log in ' and people would know :) I was looking or some place in the menus to log in since there was no obvious log in at the top --- where most pages have you log in. Just not a well designed UI -- in my not so humble opinion.
  13. Same problem I have. Once I got a log in dialogue to show up but can't figure how to get it back again. This is a HUGE bug. There should be a LARGE log in dialogue box come up if you are not logged in.
  14. I installed the latest version this morning of NMM but it isn't working. I watched the video on how to install and the .ini files show they are modified as per directions. But, when I run NMM and poke around it tells me I am not logged in. ONCE I got an dialogue to log in but haven't been able to get it back since. Apparently I entered the wrong password and it closed. It needs a clear and simple log in method that is very obvious and you don't have to dig down to get logged in. I figured it was saying I wasn't logged into Nexus so I did but it didn't help. Still says I'm not logged in.
  15. I just installed the latest ( 0.61 ) and only then did I discover we need to modify some .ini files before using. I installed it BEFORE I made the .ini changes. Do I need to re-install NMM?
