  1. They only use the best armor weapons so if its not the best DPS or Armor Def they will ignore it use what is.
  2. Scroll down to your own equipment, press the equip item button to give Malborn your equipment. Any item you dont want. By default, the R-key will give your items to him Hear this is a good explaination I found in a forum as my English sucks When you speak to him for the first time, just have the conversation as normal. He insults you a bit depending on your dialog choices (you can get revenge later if you wish), but then after you're done asking questions tell him you're ready and he opens his inventory. It works the same way (with the same buttons) as if you were storing items in your house. By default, the R-key will give your items to him. Give him everything you use for your quests: your armor, weapons, enchanted jewelry, everything. When you are done, go back to Delphine and she will give you a special outfit for the party and after you put it on she will take from you EVERYTHING that you did not give Mal. At the party you will see Mal again and after causing a bit of mischief he will return to you all the gear that you gave him. Credit to WoogieMonster on another forum
  3. Problem is one mod could not really have a menu like that as the difficulties are set through the same file default ini using Dreadleins injector. So in order to have multiple choices you would have to have a mod that has a menu front end that writes to the ini via your input and was coupled to the injector and launcher so that you inputed data it reinputed it into the ini the injector inputed it into the exe and the launcher launched the finished product. In game injection would not take effect so it would have to be out of game. Well thats how I see it but I am no modder.
  4. I agree with game fever the aliens in classic never miss even if you are in full cover and yet we miss the more or less always. Changing the ini doesnt seem to make a great deal of difference either. I played the game from USA launch on Classic start to finish. Then when Dreadlein brought out the excellent injector I replayed it with modifications to the ini to combat the poor gameplay experience I had on Classic and IMO there was little change. They missed once in a blue moon and in full cover I still got crited and they rarely got hit. The only solice is that in week one of release I finished on impossible mode something I found had no real enjoyment factor at all really as it usually was a case of shoot alien fall back shoot alien fall back etc etc. The final part of the game was mega hard on impossible and as the mobs can only be drawn out with great difficulty attacking all the uber etherials in one place is not possible to win
  5. Ya my heart goes out to you I hate to have to re-install games and my lovely mods as I love my mods :) The creation Kit Is basically the same in all Beth games Like morrowind etc but if your not a modder the painful re-install is the horrible solution. at least you could level quickly in the console commands if you wanted to :) (Excuse my Google Translator English :) ) typo typo typo :_)
  6. Sometimes the note is just randomly in your inventory. Any time I played the quest it worked to be honest. As people have indicated though you dont always get contacted in your sleep quickly. GL (note to self fix spelling for English speakers :) thank god for google translator :) )
  7. I had very same problem about 5-6 months ago it was only solved by a clean install. Removing one mod at a time to try and trace the crash made no difference in the end I assumed that it was a mix of mods and so I installed it clean (well a steam backup). Now running only minimum mods its fine. Some people seem luckier than others with masses of mods. It was not a performance issue as I have a very high end computer and no other game with mods had any problems like this one.
  8. I dont know if it was Fraxis or steam but if you play in online mode it does seem to try and install a exe. I tested it but I generally always play in offline mode in most games I play on Steam. Big thanks to Dreadylein for replay saving patcher. If you play Multiplayer then that would be a problem as it breaks Steam agreement.
