  1. OK you got me, just give me a few days to get it all ready for an upload. Headgears and the head are not visible at all. The main problem with male charecters is the way the game handles the meshes and how they are put together. The female mesh looks much better than the male mesh in 1st person becaurse of that. I've started testing males yesterday, but it will need an extra skeleton file in which the camera has to be placed a bit down. Otherwise it would be possible to see inside your neck... <- The camera placement is the main reason why it's not as good looking as the female version.
  2. Thanks guys, I uploaded a video (linked on the 1st page)
  3. Anyone knows a good and free software to capture videos from games? Would be nice, thought a vid could show it better than screenshots
  4. I have played around with the animation files for a while now and there are some things I found out: Some of the animations used in 1st person are not available in 3rd person (a diagonal sword hit for example), mostly they can replaced by something else (I replaced them with the standard left or right hits from 3rd person) In some other cases 3rd person animations are not available in 1st person and this is not so good. There are no animations for backward and forward swimming and no walking and shield holding at the same time. An other big problem are the horse riding anims. The camera leaves the characters head and is placed somewhere under the horse. I've found out that the 3rd person skeleton is used for the horseriding animations (head and feet visible). But the camera sticks in the ground. I've found a txt.file called "horseproject" in the Skyrim - Animations.bsa: Reanimated:0.9 AddCharacterControllerToWorld:0.9 GetUpEnd:2 Changing these values don't make any change ingame, however I can change the root to the skeleton.hkx files -> Nothing happend ingame This may all sounds more bad as it is. But I can say most things are working very well now and I played with this the last days. Doing bug tracking and fixes as much as possible until the CK comes out. So I'm really looking forward to this. The 3rd person animations are used for the first persone view. They are exacly the same. Don't think it lookes awkard but it't definatly nothing for people with motion sickness. It's planned to smooth some jerky animations, so there will some small differences when the animations are changed.
  5. wow, YES! I found the solution. Somehow its connected with the "behaviors files". Not all 3rd person behaviors work in 1st person (only magicbehavior and mtbehavior) the other ones have to stay as 1st person. Now the animations can be renamed ("1hm_runforward.hkx" needs to be copied and renamed to: "1hm_1stp_run.hkx" for example) and finally it works now. Only some block animations are extremly hard to find... But Im pretty sure I'll get them soon... Than I can focus on the werewolf and horse riding problems. Hope the CK comes out early this month... Cool, you've requested this! Yes, I know the "Immersive First Person Body" I played countless hours with this mod. That's why I like to make something similar for Skyrim. I'm already in contact with Loup Sombre. :D P-Froggys First Person Body I followed this mod a while but unfortulatly never played it (was done with oblivion when it came out). Cool, thnaks!
  6. Hey huys, having real problems with the battle mode animations. The strange thing is that the animation starts but after a few seconds it goes back to the basic idle animation. Walking and running is only animated a few seconds after I equip or unequip a weapon to be more specific. After that I only see floating legs. I try to find a solution but switching filenames doesn't work. I really don't know why the animation only runs when I equip or unequip a weapon and how I could get rid of this :( Maybe someone here got an Idea?
  7. Unfortunately I'm far away from a releaseable version. Too much glitches at the momentHope to get them fixed soon but most of this needs to wait until the CK comes out. Only the body mesh and the hands are shown for now. This is good in case of the head (helmets are not shown) and bad in case of the feet. It's Triss Armor from the witcher 2, available in the nexus download area. I used it because the 1st person mesh is already included and the texture resolution is nice. I also updated the main topic http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/510412-real-1st-person-view-wip/
  8. updated... http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/pwmx447u/thumb/ScreenShot569.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/u06wbs05/thumb/ScreenShot553.jpg you see I make some progress! :D
  9. solved this problem :D Unfortunatly fighting is not working for now. I think some skripting is needed here. A few animations need to be edited too. But most of them are working fine
  10. Real 1st Person View (WIP) I always wanted to play Skyrim in 1st person, but the fact that there's no visible body ruins the immersion and floating arms are a huge atmosphere-killer for me. So I wanted to find a way to make the charakters body visible. In vanilla Skyrim there are only the arms of the charecter or the current equipment shown. As it was in Oblivion the complete first person animations are like a floating body (or arms) in diving position without movement and animations (Only the hands are animated in these files) Using the 1st person animations isn't possible without modifying every single animation. So I simply replace the animation used for 1st person with 3rd person animations. The camera is attached on the eye bone of the character. Everytime the charecters head moves the camera moves too. Alpha 03b is here, but keep in mind it's WIP! Backup your files before the installation, don't activate to "make progress" in the game. It can cause bugs baked into your savegame. You've been warned: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6002# Already done: (updated) - find a way to make the body visible in 1st person view - DONE - attach the camera to the skeleton (Eye Bone) - DONE - adjust the camera to it's right position - DONE - adjust the skeletons position in the .nif file - DONE - replacing the FPView animations with 3rd person ones - DONE - get rid of the glitches with the "running with magic" animations - DONE - solve problems with spell casting animations - DONE - get rid of the problem with some finishing moves - DONE - solve the "camera rotation" problem - DONE - edit the "mt_idle" animation for a better head position - DONE - get rid of the glitches with the "running with weapon" animations - DONE - finding and replacing some 1st person animations with 3rd person anims manually - DONE - some meshes look strange in first person (maybe missing bones in the 1st person skeleton?) - DONE - fixing the dual wielding animations - DONE - fixing the camera in battle mode - DONE - force the game to load the feet - DONE To do list: - force the game to render shadows - horse riding is broken - solving the problems in sneak mode - arrow aiming is broken and needs a complete overhaul - force the game to use 3rd person animations that don't exist in 1st person (like swimming forward) - smooth the running animations and some others (a bit slower less dramatic head movement and it would feels like mirrors edge) - get rid of several other bugs and glitches Screenshots http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/bzulgbqt/thumb/ScreenShot650.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/lw48a4n8/thumb/ScreenShot687.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/jqwasj5i/thumb/ScreenShot590.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/bwflnsy2/thumb/ScreenShot588.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/8245klfh/thumb/ScreenShot587.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/0hokvz8f/thumb/ScreenShot576.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/3ww0vqk7/thumb/ScreenShot794.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/lq39igue/thumb/ScreenShot613.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/m2aph1wh/thumb/ScreenShot686.jpg http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/rh6wd4ij/thumb/ScreenShot643.jpg
  11. found it... ....erg "Forbidden Site"! sorry guys
  12. "The default value appears to be 7" Sorry to have to correct you, the default value is 5. I'm running the Skyrim with these settings: uExterior Cell Buffer=64 uGridsToLoad=7 iPreloadSizeLimit=51380224 It's very stable for me, no CTD even after 5 or 6 hours of playing with a huge graphical improvement :) Unfortunately an higher amount of the value (9,11,13) is not possible, doesn't matter what kind of hardware you have. I tried it for myself (with other .ini tweaks and other .dlls files) none of this seems to work and the game crshes every time the next grids have to load... My System: System: Windows 7 64-bit Processor: Intel Xeon X5460 @ 3.2GHz (8 CPUs) Memory: 65536MB RAM (64 GB) Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
