  1. First, steps to reproduce. Build with BodySlide Silverlight torso Run skyrim and wear the armor -- it will be fine Import the _0 torso nif generated into Outfit Studio don't change anything now export that, overwriting the imported file Run skyrim again, wearing the armor -- it will not match up.To be more explicit as to what it looks like, it appears as if it's been shifted and scaled so that nothing that isn't part of the outfit lines up. This is the first time I've noticed this, but this is also the first time I've tried to do what I am currently trying to do. I want to mash together the ShadowCat leggings and gloves with the Silverlight armor set. I succeeded in getting putting the two together, which required me to move the leggings into place even though they were built with the same silder preset. The shape matches, but the locations doesn't. But that is a seperate issue, one that I solved with the Outfit Sudio. However I then need to put that back into the nif, which is where things go wrong.
  2. When using Extensible Follower Framework, Brelyna Maryon keeps leaving me. One second she'll be tagging along and then PUFF, she isn't there. I'll try the follower commands, but she doesn't show in the menu, and doesn't come when called. Eventually I did notice a message saying that she left my service, however I can't imagine why. The three of us, the other being Serena, would just be walking (no combat or anything weird) and the message just shows up, and she leaves. I tried going back to Collage, but she isn't anywhere on campus either. I tried cleaning my saves, both before and after the disappearance, but the cleaner says that there aren't any orphans.
  3. Yes, I've tweaked the glossiness, specular power, and the specular map. Or rather I'm using the GlosTek specular map which is just pure shine.
  4. Looking for a way to make body parts shiny other than the use of specular maps, I tried applying an environmental map. This was done simply by tweaking BSLighting... and and setting an environmental map in BSShaper... with Nifscope. This works great on bodies, but on everything else I get odd results. The textures are extremely flat and oddly colored. Is this some kind of limitation in the engine, or am I doing something wrong?
  5. Solution: I edited the nif file for the head and pointed that to the proper textures. Don't know why I needed to do this, but it worked.
  6. I did that. All the textrues are working except for the head textures. [edit] To clearify further, if I put the spectable map that I'm trying to add into CustomRace/CustomBreton folder, nothing happens. If I put that same texture file into characters/female all females, including mine, get the map. Adding the specacle map for any other body part into CustomBreton works as expected. Only the head isn't working.
  7. I installed Custom Races so that the NPCs didn't all look like me. Unfortuantely, it seems as if the head textures aren't working properly. I copied everything over, but it isn't working. I tried deleting my entire Skyrim directory and then reinstalling everything. It still isn't working.
  8. No, it was crashing during the initial character creation. In anycase, the precache killer fixed the issue. Thank you, I would not have thought to look at ECE's troubleshooting. I would have eventually concluded it was the hair pack, but I wouldn't have understood why it was crashing.
  9. So I had well over 50 mods installed and things were getting a bit weird. i decided to do some clean up and am starting with the bodies. I first tried something by Dragonfly I saw on Love Slab (I'd post a link but I've heard that can get you banned). After several hours of trying to get around broken links I managed to get that to work with CBBE. However it didn't work with some armor mods (CTD). Or at least I think that's the problem. The CBBE installation instructions say to use UNPB, but that has never worked for me. I had to, previously, use work around, and I suspect some of the problems I was having were in fact me not being able to work around UNPB's bugs. So I am trying to use XP32's skelly directly. My install order is as follows: FNIS <run FNIS> FNIS Spells <run FNIS> CBBE CB++ [edit]XP32's Skeleton[/edit] Enhanced Character Edit Univision Faces <create TBBP body with CB++> <run FNIS> <start new game> <switch slider from "male" to "female"> <spasm> <CTD> This is the fix:
  10. I decided to try out some of the hair that I got in Sky Hair and so I used "showracemenu" to do so. I also have Enhanced Character Editor, for what its worth. I changed it to something, played for a bit and didn't like it. I tried changing it back to the hair that I selected at initial character creation, but as soon as I exit, it changes it undoes that change. The next logical thing to do, of course is to try an old save, but the effect carried into that was well! Next I tried to uninstall and reinstall EDE. Again, failure. Then I tried deleting the files in "documents/my games/skyrim.CME". No dice. Somewhere in all that mess I tried a different hair from Sky Hair, but that just got me a face full of CTD. I did manage to change it back by uninstalling EDE, but now that I've reinstalled EDE I can't change the hair again! Help?
  11. As it turns out I have one more question -- the new item is just giving me the default (unclothed) model. The item appears correctly in my inventory, but when equiped its as if it isn't being worn visually.
  12. That seems to be the case then Yeah, I may have to do that. There is some "armor" that looks like it should have an armor rating of zero (its that kind of gear) that I want to strip of all protective qualities anyway so I may as well learn to use the creator. That's what I did back with NWN 1. But of course I was also a modder. One more question: how do I give you Kudos?
  13. That didn't work. The enchantment that I am most interesting in at the modent is Fortify Resteration and Magica Regeneration. On my robe I have on it gives 12% cost reduction of 50% regenereation. When I try to enchant it, with no perks its 6% reduction (or something like that. I don't want to put up just to check) and 10% regeneration. As I add perks the cost reduction scales as expected, however the regeneration does not. Using "player.modav enchantingpowermod 500" changes neither value.
  14. I get drops in the game for gear with enchantments on them, but I want those enchantments on my gear that I get from mods. Though i know that there isn't a way to transfer directly (though there was such a mod for TES:IV), I also know that when I disenchant the drop and then enchant my stuff the power is level. I tried using player.advskill enchanting 250 to get it up to 100, then taking all relevent perks as well as drinking an enchanting elixer, and using a grand soul gem. Still, it isn't enough to get a full powered enchantment Is there something else I can try? I don't mind usings mods or cheats.
