  1. So I ended up finding my mod limit at 135. When I go higher I become unable to activate anything so I can't go talk to people or go inside any doors. My console gets this weird red tinge as well, still worked tho. Is there any way to increase that limit or is that just it? I kinda wanted to throw in some more mod missions and some weapons for my next playthrough but it seems my game can't go past this limit.

  3. Thanks for the info. I've never used the GECK so I'm lost as to how to edit anything in this mod. From what I attempted I found the Decal in the object window but when I clicked Edit, a "static" window appears and there's no values to change. At least none that I can see. I tried the Cell View menu and found the Mess Hall Cell and got it to appear and found something called an "XMarkerHeading" that was where everything was spawning. But other than that I'm not sure as to what to edit. Nothing I see in the edit menus I've found so far are any Values to change.
  4. That's what I did, 10 of Spades likes to hang out there when 1st Recon head to Forlorn Hope for some reason. I've been ignoring it for the most part but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone knew of a fix.
  5. So I've done a pretty heavy modding job on New Vegas since I started but I've found an issue that's way out of my field of expertise. So the game has been stable since I reinstalled everything and nothing too out of the ordinary has really happened. A few missing NPCs here and there but that's just a simple reload the area or game and it's gone. This was until I got to Forlorn Hope. I walked into the mess hall and it seems like the cell has loaded me and all the NPCs into the same spot. And kept us there. It's like I'm not even loading in as well. I can see a phantom texture of my outfit when I use the free camera and look at the pile. I don't know why this is happening at all. Nowhere else so far has done this and I don't know what is making it happen.   6. Yea, your right. Everything's where you said it was. I rechecked everything and nothing was out of place. Even after remodding everything the Archive Invalidation acted the same and I just manually edited the FalloutPrefs.ini myself. This time it worked though. All my textures and meshes overwrite like they were supposed to and nothing's out of the ordinary this time around. I did the setup pretty much the same way but I specfically didn't use Onetweak this time. So I'm playing in either 1080p windowed or my fullscreen at my native resoultion. Maybe that was it but I couldn't tell. As for the problem . . . it went away as best I can tell. Maybe changing the permissions did it. I don't know why I wouldn't need to do that for Fallout 4 or Skyrim as well but no matter. Thank you for the help Dubious.
  7. I don't have any games installed under C:/ at all. All of my games are sitting on their own drive (E:/) and all my files and user stuff is on it's own drive (D:/). I did the File and Folder permissions on the entire drive just to make sure it wasn't a problem so I'll come back after I reinstall all my mods and see if that changes anything. Here's the info the wiki page asks for. I looked up most of what it asked for. = = = = = = Meshes and some Textures won't overwrite vanilla ones. I'm not sure if it's an overall issue with the mods or an issue with archive invalidation right now. I'm following Apoqsi's FNV Ultimate Modding Guide just using NMM instead of Mod Orgainzer since I use NMM for Fallout 4 and Skyrim and more used to using it. ( )
  8. Sooo, I think I've found my problem. ArchiveInvalidation won't work. For anything. None of the meshes in the game will overwrite the vanilla (which is making me believe that the textures and everything else is doing the same thing). I've done AI in NMM, FOMM, manually, nothing works. Has something changed with this? When I use the AI of either NMM or FOMM it will change the normal INI and the default INI in the game folder. But the FalloutPrefs never updates and I have to copy-paste that one myself.
  9. Ok, I'm kinda figuring this out. No body meshes are changing when I install them. I notice that the meshes are going to the "right" place. (Fallout New Vegas\Data\meshes\Characters\_Male) This is making me believe that the mesh paths are different but there's no where else that they go.
  10. I'm remodding my New Vegas and I just ran into a weird issue. So I found this Shades XI warrior armor mod that I remember from an old mXr video and figured I'd try it out. So I did and I'm running into a weird issue. Every time I see the mod it's with a character with abs and toned body. I installed it thinking it worked like Fallout 4 and every body clothing had it's own body mesh and texture. It's been a while. Supposedly this is not the case and the body mesh/texture of the armor shows the body underneath. I've installed the creator's mod body mesh and others but the only shapes that show with the armor are the vanilla body and the normal type 3. I've gotten zzjay's texture to work but I've not been able to get any mesh to work with this armor at all. Is there an installation step I'm missing. I'd appreciate any help.
  11. A few days ago I updated my nvidia drivers and Fallout has been reacting weirdly ever since. I'm not sure why but there's a consistent crash on loading inside of any settlement, whether it be a door, loading from a save, anything. I'll get a 15 - 30 sec wait for loading then crash to desktop. At first I though it was specifically a modding issue or there's too much in my settlement but now I don't know. When I first noticed the crashing, there was crashing just from loading the cells of Sanctuary, the biggest settlement I have right now. As far as I could tell then I thought it might just be an issue with some settlement mod. But then through sheer persistence I navigated my way back to Sanctuary without crashing and it looks horrible. Just alot of hardcore slow texture poppin and some scrapped items just not loading in scrapped. It took about 15 sec for all the textures to load. It didn't have a problem until then so I went to I got to Elianora's Red Rocket house and went in, no problem. But I couldn't exit without crashing on loading the worldspace. After that I loaded a different character that I have all the settlements on and went to the Castle. Same crashing on load. I had Ellianora's Faction Housing so I fast traveled to the Castle house. No problem, getting there or into the tunnel. Then it crashed trying to exit the tunnels to get to the Castle in the worldspace. So I fast traveled to Boston High a small distance away from the Castle. It loaded in, I fought a few raiders then trekked to the Castle. I got there and the same texture loading issue happened. Took about 10 sec for everything to load in but it did. With that I figured I'd swim to Spectacle Island to see if that would load as well. It did, without much of a hitch. Now this save's Spectacle Island is just huge, I used the whole Island with no limits. Pretty much the entire landmass is covered in towering structures. I didn't have a problem loading in textures into I made it to the other side of the island and couldn't see one specific building that just wouldn't load walls. 6 secs later it did. I figured I'd check out some things here as well. I had a basement living hatch here but for some reason, I couldn't enter it and this area of my settlement couldn't be interacted with and I couldn't do anything with it in the settlement menu. Weird but I ignored it and just built another free one to see if I could duplicate the earlier walk out of an area and crash scenario. It didn't so I tried to fast travel to Sanctuary, crashed like I thought it would. Tried to load the save from spectacle island, crash. So I'm lost on how to fix the problem or figure out what is actually wrong. I don't think it's a mod issue but I can't tell. I think it's a loading issue but before I just delete everything and just reload the game and install mods over again I wanted to see if anyone had any fixes or ideas as to what could be wrong.   12. Yea, I'm waiting for someone to do this. I only have one character that would side with the raiders. The rest wouldn't and it'd be awesome to have this place as a stronghold.
  13. Well, after trying that and a few other options I decided to reinstall and start from scratch. I've done it before and I'm sure it won't be the last time. I did check one of my finished game saves from way back to check and see if after uninstalling every mod from the game would that work, it didn't. Collision never came back. After reinstalling the game from scratch and messing with the ini a few times. The bUseCombinedObjects=0 will duplicate the problem with no mods, so I'll assume that going that route with any fixes installing on top probably permanently breaks the game. I probably did this not thinking about it. I'm 100% sure that ini change doing this is because of the recent patch because I've had that line in the game ini for a while now (maybe since Automatron) and didn't the floor issue in the castle. After reinstalling my mods and redoing all my bodyslides again, I'll see if I can get this to work. This time I'll just use spring cleaning. I'm not a fan of that mod but at this point I'd prefer using it than running into this problem again. Thx for the help bill.
  14. I have. I've installed the DD_Navmesh Overwrite and then installed the floor_fix and wall_fix, in many different configs. Maybe I'm just mistaken in how to do this but you install the main file, go in game and place walls, leave game, install navmesh overwrite, then the floor should work? Or do I after that navmesh install install the floor fix as well? Should I even use the wall fix if I've had no problems placing the walls? I'm not trying to be annoying, it's just must not be installing these overwrites correctly. It's weird when at this point I've uninstalled the mod completely yet the floor navmesh/collision is still broken in all of my saves. Even in saves that I didn't have this or any worldspace mods that affected the castle itself.
  15. I can't build anything inside the walls of the castle at all. Anything I try to place falls through the floor and can't be placed at all. I thought this was an issue with Craftable Wall Patches but I've gone back many saves uninstalled it and tried to build and this was still an issue. From what I read, if anything is added to the Castle worldspace this floor issue happens. I'm not sure what other mods I have that edit the Castle worldspace but I can't think of any. Is there anyway to fix this without reinstalling from scratch and hoping the mods I install don't repeat the issue?   16. Before I start destroying my game with mods I had a question. Before now I was using the Fallout Mod Manager for Fallout 3 and New Vegas since despite the praise I see the Nexus Mod Manager getting I just felt more confortable using FOMM. Is Nexus Mod Manager worth the risk in Skyrim. I just wanted a more experienced opinion before I start attempting to mod this game.
  17. As far as FNVedit I already have it and I'm trying that now. I'm sure this will end up with me destroying my game because past installing and removing mods I'm at a complete loss. I'm going to keep at this though because I really want this to work. And I contacted the author of the mod and by the looks of it he has left the modding community. The last this file was updated was before Dead Money's release and I haven't seen or heard from this guy since. I sent him a message anyway asking to update the mod.

(http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38093 - In case you aren't familiar with the mod) I don't know what the problem with this mod is but it refuses to work with a new game though it's description tells me I need to use a new game. The mod places two NPCs and a few items next to them in the prospector saloon. They are out of the way for the most part but it causes the game to crash somewhat. This apparently creates a confilct when Job Cobb is in the prospector though. I get a CTD or a frozen screen everytime I attempt to enter the game during this point. Even when it's not at this point it's a 70% chance the game will crash Does anyone know how to fix this so I can continue this playthrough?
  19. I modded my fallout with Weapon Mod Expanded and Mo' Beta both of which are good mods in my book. Well with the load order I have Mo' Guns.esp loads after WeaponModsExpanded.esp and for some reason that makes the mods added to the game not work. I mean at all. As far as Mo' Guns is concerned I have it because I like the way the guns look but I want these mods to work. Is there a merger patch or something I can download or is there a way to make this work so I can keep the textures/meshes from Mo' Beta and have the mods too. And it's only some of the guns as well, a few aren't reverting back to the original. The Hunting Shotgun stays with it's texture but the Dinner Bell reverts from the Rolling Thunder (A unique SPAS-12ish weapon) back to the very ugly Dinner Bell. I'm gonna assume any weapon that has the added on mods this will affect but I can't be too sure.
